how i learned to embrace the pure life.

Pura Vida is a famous saying in Costa Rica.
It literally translates to pure life.
But it is so much more than that.
It is a philosophy, a way of life that many Costa Ricans follow.
Pura Vida is "to live a peaceful, simple, uncluttered life with a deep appreciation for nature, family, and friends; a 'real living' that reflects happiness, well-being, conformity, and satisfaction."
This short film was created from a collection of lessons I learned on my study-abroad trip to Costa Rica.
You will see the theme of nature, community, and mindfulness.
This film took 3 months to make.
It took many sleepless nights.
Lots of editing,
Scripting an entire narrative,
Getting hit with the "Your Storage is Full" and so much more.
I wanted to create a film for my final project upon return.
There are so much more things I wanted to go back and fix.
But after a revelational talk with my professor, Paula.
I accepted that every film will never be perfect.
And thus, she saved me from my worst enemy: procrastination.
No one will ever know how great this film could've been.
But maybe, more time would just make it worst.
So, here I am.
And I present to you 3 months of hard work.
Welcome, to my first creative project.
I hope I make you feel something.
