I made the same mistake a few times, namely knitting mindlessly right to the end instead of slipping. So I ended up putting a stitch marker at the last/first 3 stitches to remind me to stop knitting. I loved knitting this shawl and it is my favourite one to wear. It’s the only triangle shawl I’d consider knitting again.

Hi Stephen! As much as I have loved all of your shawls through the years, I have never had the desire to knit one. Nothing was "just right" for me. I can't believe how I missed the Botanic Shawl! It is spot on. Your sample knit in this video is all the colors I would choose as well...or pretty darn close. I knew one day I would knit, wear, and love a Stephen West shawl! Now the fun part, knitting it.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. 🤩

This looks so fun to knit. I will say thank you for the written explanation in the screen. English is not my native language, so understanding and learing all the abriviations can be quite overwhelming - while learning a new technique. This gives me more courage to dive into patterns written in English. Woolly hugs from Denmark ❤

About two weeks ago I bought this pattern and gathered my yarn, which will look great when I make it. I did start it, but decided that yarn was a little too subtlety shaded and a bit too fuzzy to easily see my stitches. So since then I have started and restarted 6-8 times. I finally Got It today! Yay!!!!! So far I love it. Lessons learned... Swatch . Swatch for gauge and how it will wash and block, of course, but also to test out the pattern! ( duh ). But I have even rows, and no stress. I think I am going to have some color play fun.

Saved and downloaded 😁! I'm currently following your boneyard shawl tutorial. It has been keeping me busy during quarantine! This is my first knit triangle shawl and I'm in love with how it's turning out😊. I am starting to get a bit bored by the endless stockinette though, so I better cast off quick before I get tired of knitting altogether😂

I'm also knitting the Boneyard Shawl these days. I'm on the 12th repeat, so almost done. I love Stephen West's newly revised Boneyard Shawl pattern as of 2020. Just a couple of minor changes, but now with lots more information and answers to anticipated questions. I started my Boneyard shawl using his original pattern, but have had no problems using the revised one.

Dear Stephen, When I look at this shawl and compare it with the rainbowcake I bought in your shop (what a treat to be there!), it looks like only one "Stephen's rainbowcake" was used. Could you conform? At this moment om about halfwaardetijd, at the dark green. It looks fabulous already! Next will be my 4th (!) Mkal!
