Those were the days; when I used to live with Joan and Stephen, and they were nastily strict, as I wasn't allowed to touch the TV in the living room, when the channel was left on BBC One, I impatiently waited through Neighbours, Doctors, Murder She Wrote and BBC News for CBeebies on BBC One to start. As I was more interested in watching CBeebies than CBBC, I usually left after the CBeebies block ended. If I had thought of it back then, I would've changed the channels myself and if I got caught and unnecessarily punished for doing that, I would've complained about my foster carers at the time to my school and my social worker about them. But as most children wouldn't understand, I didn't know at the time that I was being mistreated, although I was glad to get away from Joan and Stephen when I went away to my nan and grandad for the weekend or sent away to Pauline's for respite though. During my time at respite, I often showed signs of being upset when it came to the end of my time at Pauline's and when I refused school and had a meltdown over going back, my school; Gosberton House School eventually figured out that the reason behind it was because I was having problems with Joan and Stephen after I eventually had the courage to tell one of my teachers; Miss Jewel, the row between me and Stephen over him changing channels when I was watching CITV on ITV1 and when he changed the channel to Sci-Fi, he got verbally aggressive and rude when I kindly asked him to put the channel back where it was.
