- This is a follow-up video to my video, "Creating the 6 MISSING Starter Pokémon!". In this video, I create the middle evolutions to the 6 Pokémon I created in that video. I hope you enjoy these Fakemon!

I'd still choose bombelly and tumtoad but I kinda wish Tumtoad kept the bomb theme but hopefully the final stage gets that back next I would choose swabian and swidian simply because it's still the best design of the second trio but the shinies for every fakemon is pretty good not gonna lie I feel like swabian's evolution line belongs with bombelly's trio simply because I think it fits the theme of that trio than bubbly and I think bubbly also fits better in the second trio but that's just my opinion

I really love these, the designs and concepts are all super original and well thought out, and the fact that they feel a bit more personal makes them stand out from other fakemon.
My favourite is definitely the bombelly line, but I'm still very curious as to what will every line end up as

Hey! You used the Fishing cat suggestion I made from the last video for Bubbeline! In all actuality all of these lines are amazing, can't wait to see the final evolutions!

For the final evolutions of these fake Pokemon I have interesting ideas for half of these fake Pokemon. Caporilla for Swabian, Magfrog for Bombelly and Catcean for Bubbli. As for the types of the final evolutions, they could be Water/Fighting for Caporilla, Fire/Rock for Magfrog and Water/Fairy for Catcean. As for Kamelt, Pallily and Zorileaf, I can't think of anything. Bubbli and Kamelt are still my favorites with Swabian and Zorileaf added in though. Bubbline, Glassear, Swanian and Castripe are my favorite middle evolutions.
I still think that the Water type cat should still be a Water type Maine Coone who becomes a Water/Dark bipedal Maine Coone-Pallas Cat with a hidden ability that gives Ice type moves STAB.
These are so great! Hard to pick but I think for the first set I’d probably go with paddigator. Second set I’d choose glassear. Kinda reminds me of a koopa lol

I’m loving swainian. When I started my trainer character in shield I chose grookey and named him Wukong after the monkey king. When the gen 4 remakes came out I chose chimchar and wanted to reference Wukong so I went with Gokū again after the monkey king this time his Japanese name.
I would absolutely choose this little water monkey and keep up the monkey king naming scheme, I’d name him Gokong after the Indonesian version Sun Go Kong

it's crazy, all of these are good designs but the first trio is one of my favourite trios ever
in pokemon the only trio where I really love all three lines is gen 3, maybe gen 1 and now definitely this one
of the second trio I'm a big fan of glassear

You're doing Great! But a little criticism for you're future designs is to make them more different

For the bombelly line I'd like to see a signature move that works in it's fuse, maybe a move that does for explosion what defense curl does for rollout. Here's my take:
Short fuse
A fire status move. The pokemon uses it's fuse to scare the opponent into thinking it's going to explode.
When used the opponent's atk and special attack are lowered by one stage and if the pokemon who used short fuse uses an exploding move next turn that move's power is boosted by 30%.
You can even give it's final evolution it's own signature move that's a fire type self destruct and a hidden ability that allows it to surive at 1 hp if you use an exploding move at full health
Definitely giving them signature moves! Not sure what yet though.. but I’ll keep this idea in mind :)

So the last video I said that the grass crocodiles and the water monkey are my favorite, now with the middle evolutions the water monkey is still my favorite of that trio but based on middle evolutions alone I kinda like the water cats over the grass crocs. Can’t wait to see what they all fully evolve into!

Jk, you do your thing, just thought it was adorable, like a kitten playing with a yarn ball that's too big for it. Love the fishing thought though with its whiskers with its evolution

Bombers can also be used when you're fishing for something, such as a bluegill, that cant pull with as much force. You usually need a bobber to tell if its biting where I am

I love all of these Pokémon, but I think they could use some tweaks to make them even better.
Tumtoad: It's pretty unclear what the pattern around the middle of its body is supposed to be, and there's a little too much negative space.
Paddigator: The transition from its head to its body is very awkward, I think if you made it less round it would look better.
Bubbline: No complaints, I love it! (But please don't make the final evolution bipedal)
Swanian: It's hard to tell exactly what the limbs are doing, especially the legs!
Glassear: The head looks too koopa-esque, rather than like a Pokémon head.
Castripe: IS THAT WEED ON ITS TAIL?!
All of these are good except Bubbline which genuinely looks like it doesn't change at all
The crocodile is not bad but I have made fakemon a plant-type crocodile that is inspired by an Alligator and that takes inspiration from Egyptian mythology. His manes are crydile, crolax, and kinligart and they are really cool. The Other members of the trio are a bull and a crayfish

Still love Tumtoad. Its final form should have a hidden ability that lets it not die when it uses self destruct or explosion.
I havent thought of the specifics but something like that sounds good!

I’d say to study Pokémon themselves. What makes a Pokémon a Pokémon is that no matter if it’s cute, cool, or fearsome, it can still be your friend. On a technical level, getting the shading down is probably the thing that makes a drawing look like the Pokémon style. I’m still bad at that and working on it myself though

I have a feeling that Swanian, Glassear, and Castripe’s evolutions are going to have a theme of leadership. Not sure about Castripe, but Swanian and Glassear I can see evolving into a Pokémon Version of Monkey D. Luffy (the CAPTAIN of the straw hat crew) and Bowser (who is the KING of Koopas) since both these guys are leaders in their own right.
The first set could have a theme of protection, too. Tumtoad protecting it's emotions, patagater it's crops, and bubbline it's family (by feeding them)
I love pallillys evo I just love crocs and alogators. there so cool. also I think for the final evo of pallilly you could use the crops for a hat or you could stuff them somewhere on the pokemon

If you want a pirate vibe of that monkey, it could look more like team aqua. It already made me think of them, but doesn't have the guts to be considered as a pirate. Only an imaginary friend for Peter Pan.

Some of my personal favorites as well!
Tumtoad - The other Chinese starters seem to have a rural worker theme to them (farmer, fisher), so that could work as a good through-line for inspiration in tumtoad. Adding a droopy version of Bombelly's hair-wick could add some more personality, while also serving as a sort of lure to bring in prey it no longer has the energy to chase.
Patagator - Really like this one. Not much to change about the design, but since gators are carnivores, maybe it uses its rice garden to lure in prey. Humans could have learned to cooperate with them, helping them tend the paddy in return for a harvest right before the cold months when the rice won't grow.
Bubbline - I see the mix of tiger and Chinese dragon you're going for, and I dig it. Asian dragons are usually seen holding orbs in their claws, which in the final Evo could be used as bubble pads to walk on water and bounce around during combat. Only gripe is that stage 1 and 2 look too similar. I'd suggest removing the fluke-tail shape and long wiskers on Bubbli, since they aren't really used yet in its design. Maybe add a dex entry describing how Blubbli float above the shallows for fish to come to the surface, attracted by the bright tip of its tail.
Also, Boatswain's are often referred to as a Bosun. Swabian and Swainian sound very similar, so maybe consider renameing the later to Babosun (Baboon/Bosun).
I can see Tumtoad evolving into a reference to Gamabunta from Naruto, making it a ninja frog with smoke bombs, keeping the bomb theme. The pattern on Tumtoads back already looks similar to its belt as well.
Really hope swainians final evolution is an Orangutan Pirate caption that would be so cool and fit with the chimp of infernape and gorilla of rillaboom.
Perhaps Tumtoads evolution can be slightly based on the Horror/Hairy frog, give it bone claws but instead of 'hair' have fire shoot out of its sides instead. Also could you give the evolution some Stats as well as maybe some Moves they could use please.

I started a comment and found myself being far too critical. So this one is to say much more simply, my favorites are Glassear, Swabian, and Bubbline in order of best to.. not best. All in all, I cannot WAIT for the final evolutions!! (And maybe mega evolutions?? Hinthint winkwink if you're feeling especially inspired??) I'm currently running a personal pokemon 5e campaign and want to add ALL OF THEM. Of course that means I have to actually create move sets and abilities... that would be a lot of work. But! If I have your personal consent, I may find a sudden burst of effort in my soul to give them stats. I wouldn't want to do it without your knowledge!

Bubline’s evolution tigong : based of a tiger and a Chinese dragon, a water type, it is the leader of packs of bubbly and bubbline
Now you have to do it but with the types for example there is a water ground type and a grass ground type so you have to make a fire ground type make it the final Evo

Glassear evolves into Turnance, it is based of a furnace and glassblowing a fire and rock type

I really liked these but if I could change anything I would make the clothes on patagater look more natural. The lines just seem too straight to belong on an animals body. I really enjoyed the video so keep up the good work and keep improving
