    Not as scary as I thought and the recreated realism is amazing... thanks for the vid.

    You've made it look super easy. Mine came with "rubber" blocks to add to the links. Super excited to put them together.

    These tracks are awesome, They are easy to assemble and place, I have used them on a M4A1 Sherman tank and a King Tiger,
    I will never use the rubbish that is supplied with the box's again.

    Ooh, nice, nice. This is even the set I'm getting for my RC KV-2 project! Nice to see them on a Trumpeter KV hull(Mine's the later model KV-2 than yours but same running gear).
    I do want to mention that there's more than one way to assemble these things. My method's decidedly less involved. What I do is I just start stitching them together in my hand. I have the whole spool around my fingers and I use a pair of forceps to carefully feed the wire into the tracks. I don't bother cleaning the holes out, either, the burrs in the holes do a fine job of holding the track pins in place without the need for any superglue.
    I wanna stress that there's no 'right' or 'wrong' way to put these things together. Merely different ones.

      TestECull thanks for pointing that out - there's always other methods, this is the one we prefer but there's other ways for sure...

    Friulmodel A9 Cruiser tracks are totally different. tiny clips straddle the links on one end, with a fixed pin on the other. Much harder than this.

    This guy was lucky. He got replacement drive sprockets with his set. Mine came directly from Andy's HHQ without them. Now I'm stuck using the drive sprockets that came with the kit. 😫🤬

      Sorry - you'll have to ask Friulmodel yourself - we just made a video but are unconnected to them. www.friulmodel.hu

    Has anyone had any experience assembling the Friulmodel metal track links available and sold for the French FT-17 light tank??? They are different than the basic type of standard Friulmodel metal link of most later models of tanks. I purchased a set of them and am stymied as to how they join together! If anyone knows of a video tutorial on their assembly please let me know. I might as well be trying to complete a Rubic’s Cube as to figure out how they join together.

      @scalewarmachines  Před 5 lety

      Sorry, every now and then you get a set that is designed differently because of the original. Wish we could help.

      Scale War Machines Thanks anyway, I’ve set the kit aside. I’ll just keep looking for the assembly clues...

      Go to Fruilmodel website and use scale of model and type of model to find which Fruilmodel track set applies.

    do they move ?

    • @scalewarmachines
      @scalewarmachines  Před 8 dny

      Not really, I mean they can a bit, but not like a motorised model or an RC tank, they'll just break.

    I had better success by crimping flat the last 1mm of the wire, push into to the track , the flattened crimped ends bite into the hole and are simply pushed in, trim the opposite side and boom its done , no super glue
