I live in a total of 9m2 (96 sq ft for my Americans). I never imagined I would be living in such a tiny space, but I have survived until now and it's not so bad.

Hey Everyone I can't believe how much this video has blown up since I posted it.
A lot of you guys have been asking me how much I pay for this apartment. Here is the response: Since I am an Au Pair I get this apartment as part of my contract deal, I don't personally pay for it. However, I have friends living in similar apartments and they are paying anywhere from €350-700 a month depending on what part of the city they are in.
Thanks so much for watching and for all your comments.
-Cecily
I hope you're not being confinée there! :O
Where do you do laundry
I can’t find you on Instagram! I would love ask you some questions!
Honestly this place is perfect. The fact you have your own toilet and shower in such a small studio is amazing. Everything is so charming and the view is incredible. How could you not love it?
I love that the designers prioritised space for 10 wine bottles over general storage. :D
France... there's nothing more to add :S
@@upsitesdown7867 😄😄😄
France in a nutshell 😂
You should go to french mall lmao
The wine section takes 1 quarter of the whole place
It s s little more complex. It s never full length and it fills the front of pipes behind. Altho it s called wine cubby, or bottle cubby, one of the slots is for your roll of garbage bags, i also have a couple of tools ( which would take insane amount of space on a shelf ( a screw driver, the plumbing wrench etc). Then you are supposed to have a bottle of water at all times - specially on top floor. Each time they do plumbing repairs means no wat, so it s the emergency half gallon water. In this space, she can aslo put her umbrella. Let me count, that leaves only 2 slots for two wines. Which is barely enough emergency reserves. Remember, she s 5th or 6 th floor without elevator (?) so you need to prioritize!
You're actually pretty lucky. Most chambre de bonne do not have toilet and shower in the room! Yours is a rare room, very elegant and brand new. It's almost an exception lol
So where is the bathroom?
Horacthy some residences have collective bathrooms it’s cheaper
@@horacthy8577 in the hallway you have to share it with other ppl at your floor
yes thats lucky! i also dont have and in portugal its impossible to find this
As someone who moved to Paris 3 years ago, let me just tell you that this is one of the most beautiful chambre de bonne that I've seen!!! Where the heck did you find it and how much are you paying for rent??
same question here xD
yes me too, I want to know
Same! And this is the first chambre de bonne that i've seen that has an ensuite toilet and shower!
Did you learn French?
V Ramos Maybe it's her family host's (since she's an au pair) and didn't have to look for an accommodation
I live in a 9m2 studio in Paris with no toilet and the bed practically takes up the whole room, that is the most spacious 9m2 room I’ve ever seen
Impressive use of a very small space! You don't have to share a bathroom or shower, and a lot of storage space. Trundle bed is a great idea in that space. 👍
ton accent quand tu as dit "chambre de bonne" trop mims
AS P enfin un fr
Wow where did you find this type of apartment in Paris?! Usually small apartments like that don’t have all that modern storage space, kitchen and definitely don’t have a bathroom. You are super lucky.
The family who hires an au pair usually owns the chambre de bonne apartment that their au pairs live in. Au pairs should never be responsible for searching for their own apartments. Usually it’s also in the same building as the families apartment, also.
It's like in Ratatouille . I think I would like this kind of apartment.
Dementor's Victim you would not, your toilet is sometimes in a corner, having a bathroom is EXTREMELY rare, normally you would rent this out for around 600 euros
@@karatechopster155 tf u saying man 😭😭 most studios have a bathroom and i mean what do u know about him ? Nothing so who are u to say he wouldn’t like this
@@Kr91122 ok but they are right about the bathroom part, youre lucky yo even have a sink sometimes
honestly, I freaking love it. You made it look so cozy, but functional.
first chambre de bonne that i see with its very own toilet ! love it
Its unbelievable its so well thought of. When I look at this place I say to myself my place is big and lots of wasted space in my place.
I love how you pointed out everything with your fingers while focusing the camera on the object. Well done. Cute studio. Great city
WOW I’d move to Paris just to live in that room.. it’s so cute 😭
it's an amazing 9m2 room ! It's very well organized, I've always seen them with a sofa/bed ("canapé-lit in French I don't know how to say it in english) and you have a full bed and it's not taking the whole space !
Adorable space in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It appears that you're living your best life. Congrats!
My crazy plant lady self would have every inch of those floating shelves COVERED with plants. Especially because it seems like you get some pretty decent natural light being higher up.
yes but in theory you shouldn't have that many plant in your room no? because they throw to much co2 at night or something like that + in paris, in autumn and winter there isn't much light in the day
@@altertopias Wtf, plants ABSORB CO2 (what humans exhale) and produce oxygen so it's quite the opposite. It's actually healthy to have plants in your room because they clean the air.
@@sarapalfy5641 the thing is at night, because they don't get sunlight, they produce CO2. i also didn't know this before.
- "here are some concerns that because during the night plants produce carbon dioxide instead of oxygen, over time this could contribute the significant harm to someone enclosed in a small room with one" handygardeners.com/blog/are-bedroom-plants-a-yes-or-no.html
but it's a complex issue it seems and depends in more than one factor
That is a micro-apt but designed with more storage than larger apts. And you have your own toilet & shower....and I'm impressed you have TWO sinks! Most people would want more space but hey--you're IN PARIS!! 👍🏼
Great video! And thank you for opening the window to show us the view.
This is super cute. The white makes it looks spacious but all your personal things with pops of colour adds character. You have all you need. X
Wow this is actually so cute and practical!! They really were able to fit so much in as small space
This is so ideal for living alone!! I’m glad this stumbled into my recommendations, algorithm working today 🤣
From a Parisian this is a very very great 9m2 chambre de bonne 😻👏🏻
So adorable. Great design to maximize space. Much better than most chambre de bonne I’ve seen
I am so obsessed with your apartment!! The design is absolutely beautiful 😍😍
so small but perfect, that shelves in the area of bed are very useful, i love it!
❤️ ❤️ your space. I great inexpensive way to have wall art is vinyl record covers. You do not have to frame them. Over the years of my travels I collected advertising match books, ashtrays, menus from the restaurants we had drinks and dinner at. Some times is was just drinks. My dinning room wall was paper with menus and play bills from musicals and play attended. The shot glass collection is kept in two separate Pepsi bottle crates. I have an extensive ash tray collection. Some of which are mixed in with the shot glasses. The others are stacked and displayed in a bookcase. I started my travels in 1967 and got the bug to collect these easy items to bring home. So many great memories and items.
The nightstand/dinner table is such a great idea!
I love your vibee
the vibes are impeccable
fall in love with your apartment, that view!! 😊😊
Franchement c'est super bien organisé !!👍🏻 bravo
The best chamber de bonne ever.. ✨
Its a tiny space but it has the essentials so ❤️❤️❤️
And youre almost 1k subscriber.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 yaaay!!
Hi!!
Thanks so much for your comment it means so much to me :')
I'm so excited to hit 1K and it seems unreal to me that there are already this many people who support my channel and content creation! Thank you so much for being one of them. Have an amazing day ♥️
I think they managed the space really well . It is very efficient and clever I really like it 👍🌻
Your room has everything!
It's a well-designed space!
Your apartment is soon cute, cozy and modern. It is one of the best chambre de Bonne I have seen!
holy crap this is smaller than my bedroom but damn this is a nicely decorated studio, i love it!
That's the cutest kitchen ever
This one look amazing !!!
I really love it, it’s so beautiful and coconing ! Where do you find it ?❤️
Very cozy and adorable young lady. Lots of luck and best wishes to you
cutest chambre de bonne ever
C'est incroyable tout ce qu'il y a dans ces neuf m2 mais tu pourrais faire ton lit correctement quand tu nous reçois !
Congratulations to you on having an adventure of living in another country. That is something I wish I would have done when I was younger. Great video, too. Thanks for sharing. Looks similar to some apartments in New York City. Bonne chance!
Actually your room is what I've been looking for! Small, but well equipped. And beautiful too. I don't like big room since I'm a lazy bum 😅
Nice lil studio and thanks for sharing.
There's everything you need in it, pas mal du tout. 😮😮
I love this space. Its small, but its charming, well renovated, and above all, light filled. What would have made it perfect is a washing machine.
Cute space, I like that you have a window and a nice view
quand tu parles anglais t’as un accent français à certains moments c hyper chelou
Genre quelle partie de la video ?
Loooool !
Je pense que c'est plutôt l'accent portoricain...
J'ai pensé pareil
Rosé 3:54 quand elle dit « messy » par ex
I love your voice. There is such a lovely texture to it 😊
This is so cosy...i love it ❤
I love it your room is the best ❤️
Hey amazing video! Do you have any recommendations where we can find this kind of apartments?:)
This is what I want for my apartment 👍👍👍. Very functional and practical
wow this is wayyy nicer than my apartment when I lived in France!
I love your apartment so much ❤️
Lovely! I would be so happy living in that nest
Wow, very well planned.
1:28 start
This is actually not bad for the small space. I have seen other spaces like this and yours at least has the shelving etc. It provides a great opportunity for you to be in Paris.
Girl do you have any pores?? Your skin looks amazingggg
I POSTED A skincare routine recently :) you can check out my secrets hehe
yo i love this so much
When I watch these type of videos I always notice the way their hand kinda talk with it's movements 😅
love this!
best apartment ever!!!
Are you sure it's a 9m² "flat"? It's actually really big, you usually can't even have enough space to put a shower in a 9m² "flat" in Paris
Yeah with the bathroom and water closet toilet, it seems bigger than 96 sq ft.
@@islandbee Toilets & showers are never counted as 'rooms' or 'square meters' in France. She is pretty lucky to have them; most of "chambre de bonne" do NOT have private toilets nor showers but rather shared toilets & showers. There is usually one sink only. Long story short, she's a lucky girl!
@@Daubenton951 - Thank you for that explanation.
Also this is so cozy!
To live in Paris by yourself, to me this is plenty of space! I love it. I might put a curtain around the door to the shower, but otherwise it's beautiful!
Did you rented it with Parisian Studio cause I had a very similar one in Paris 2 years ago :) It was smaller than your 8.5m2 and in the 7th floor without elevator, kind of pricy too ;)
Living somewhere like this in Paris is my literal dream ugh
I loved it! I from Brazil
This is such a cute place. I mean like I wouldn’t mind staying here.
Omg I love how great it is, Im moving into a 15m and this has way better layout
I love your videos!
Wonderful video keep sharing more amazing videos👍👍
This is amazing
Can we know how much? Honestly I think this studio is gorgeous!,,
Mike C It’s usually about 500€ - 600€ per months
@@AK-md8cq This is the saddest thing ever
@@AK-md8cq I meant that the prize is sad. I could never afford this as a student.
@@AK-md8cq I agree, we dont need 70 rooms, but cooking in a separate room from where you sleep is a very important thing for me. Also, french people can be materialistic as well ?????????? please relax
Alexis K cool down, ne fais pas passer les français pour des cons, on n’a pas besoin de ça...
I love that you still have a wooden countertop and it’s smart that they put windows on the closet to make the space bigger.
Do you have the toilet inside?
Where do you do laundry? Is it like a university dorm where they have communal laundry rooms?
I am happy you said you visited my country TANZANIA ❤❤❤❤❤🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿
So much you can do in that tiny space. Upper you bed in a "college type of bead frame" that way you have extra space under the bed to have maybe a sofa o something like that?
I am currently a school student, but am really interested in studying in France, so can you tell me what kind of documents are needed as a foreigner.
Your place is awesome. I will relocate to Paris so wonder where did you found this place? Any website to recommend?
very small but you have everything you need.I like it
Wow you can really make use of a small space
I'll always be obsessed with that tiny little kitchen. Could you do a new video on it, specifically? I would love to recreate it at home!
Hello Cecily! I've been waiting to come back to this video as soon as my trip to Paris was confirmed. Where did you find the place? Could you please share the reference with me? Looks sooo beautiful and I'm lost trying to find a new home!
Nicee apartment!
Hey thanks for the video. Whats that Arabic/Roman writing over your art poster that you bought from NY? @ 3:24
I enjoyed this a lot and it gonna be really helpful to me also, but I would like to know the price you pay for such dorm room?
Wow, that's a beautiful little apartment😍
Are you still living there and where exactly is it located in Paris?❤️
I'd like to rent one too, for the next 3 months, but it is soo hard to find😔
Wow, todo esta bien organizado
Thanks for sharing. Nice studio.
Super cute space
Hello, i hope you see this. I'm renovating my bedroom now, and i think I'm gonna change my bedrooms color. Co what color did you use for your wall? I HOPE YOU ANSWER THIS THANK YOUU
It’s very cute! How do you like living in a small space? Do you have a TV? What does a place like this rent for?
Great video!
Thanks for sharing. I just found your Channel and I’m Now a New subbie. Xx Linda
Hey Linda thanks for your comment that makes me so happy to hear!
