    8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
    Our Lord Jesus suffered are we above Him?

      Hi Steve, thank you for your question. Diving into this profound question, it's essential to understand the unique role and mission of Jesus Christ. Jesus' suffering was a part of God's redemptive plan for humanity. Through His suffering, death, and resurrection, Jesus reconciled us to God, providing the means for us to receive forgiveness for our sins and attain eternal life.
      The suffering of Jesus is not a model for seeking suffering in our lives but demonstrates His obedience to the Father's will, showcasing the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of mankind. His suffering served a redemptive purpose, something that is distinct from the experiences of suffering that we, as His followers, might encounter.
      While we are not above Jesus and may indeed face suffering in our lives, it's crucial to distinguish between the purpose and nature of our suffering and that of Jesus. Our own trials and tribulations can be opportunities for growth, strengthening our faith and reliance on God, but they are not redemptive in the same way Jesus' was. Jesus suffered so that we might have life, and through Him, we can find strength and peace amid our own challenges.
      Remember, God's will for us is ultimately for our good and our growth, and while we live in a world marred by sin, where suffering is a reality, we have the hope of eternity with Him because of Jesus' sacrifice.

    What does "under the mighty hand of God" look like?

      Thanks for the question! It's about trusting in God’s timing and wisdom over our own, and it's a posture of the heart that is willing to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7) In practical terms, living "under the mighty hand of God" involves acknowledging our need for God in all aspects of our life and aligning our desires and actions according to His will. It's a commitment to follow His lead and to rely on His strength rather than our own. Spending some time of every day in relationship with God, in the Word and asking God to show you revelation from His Word for you each day is a way you can walk out this commitment.
