I have these plants growing in several beds and they look amazing and perform really well! Rabbits DO leave them alone! 😉Thanks for showcasing this David 😃😃😃
Thanks, that's good to hear. Its always useful to hear other people's experiences. By sharing our information we all learn. Thanks again for letting us all know.
Thank you David. I have one of these and I was wondering why I couldn’t get it to grow well. Now I know that I need to be moving it this spring. Thank you again David. ❄️💚🙃
Thanks, glad to here it helped.
I grow Japonese Anemones, but the white ones with little green ball in the center. Not sure of their proper name, as I've seen posted with different names. Regardless, they are BEAUTIFUL. I love how dainty they are, dancing in the breeze. One of my Favorites!💚! I only purchase from my Nursery. It's a wonderful nursery, at that too! 🥰
Yes, there's several really nice white ones, and we are fond of them too. Stay tuned because now that we've found a good CLEAN source for our young starter plants, we will almost certainly be growing and testing more selections. Glad to hear you've found a good, reliable source for your plants too. It makes all the difference 😉💚

Planted one last year but deer kept nibbling at it . Hopefully I can protect it this season so I can see the blooms !
Yes certainly try to protect it.... the show will be worth the effort. We, find a single strand of fishing line, scented soap, fabric softener strips, repellents etc. help them ward off. In David's garden, he says has not seen them bother with his Fall Anemones and at Rutgers Univ. they don't appear to have much trouble either (listing them as "Seldom Severely Damaged") so hopefully, you will be able to enjoy your precious specimen soon too.
@@OverdevestNurseries I always check with Rutgers university research and it’s the reason why I planted it. Guess my deer is super aggressive 😞
@@lilyw.1788 We use the Rutgers resource too. Its never an exact science because we often seen that circumstances and degree of hunger (over population) and tastes vary from garden to garden.

Are these deer resistant
Thanks for a great question.
We are hesitant to use that term because starving deer in an over populated neighborhood can be driven to try to eat almost anything!
And, they tend to be unpredictable and inconsistent too, in that what they leave alone in one garden, they may nibble at in another! 🙁
All that said, they normally do not browse on these types of anemones, so if you are troubled by browsing deer this would be a good choice and under most circumstances they should thrive and put on a wonderful display without suffering damage.
We hope this helps. Now we are wondering… Have you subscribed to our channel?
