After all these years, it still fits, wow!
Same as it ever was.
@@MrUndersolo you win.
and still roomy!
I thought for sure that David would say that in front of the mirror!
It's BALENCIAGA
Unexpectedly teared up when he stood in front of the mirror. Greatest concert film of all time.
Yes!!!!!
I did, too! 😢
Me too. The sync of "Home..." right as he's buttoning the suit, the transition of him in front of the mirror to dancing on stage in it 40 years previous along with the roar of the crowd...just a moving nostalgic overload.
THIS MUST BE THE PLACE!!!!
Chills!
THIISS. MUST BEBE THE PLASCE
This promo was very well executed! The dry-clean picking up, the A24 ticket with the original release date on it, the “you got it” dialogue, David carrying THE Suit while biking - short and sweet! I adore this ❤️🔥
Lmao copied your comment from the A24 page and messed it up the first time so you had to edit it. Pathetic
@@RolphLundgren Nope I messed it up on here before I pasted on A24. It’s the other way around you are pathetic 😜
but is it THE suit? in previous interview he said he does not even know where it is, he wasnt sure if he had it or it was in the R&RHOF.
@@ehlava7331 I have no idea about where the real suit is. But if they portrayed like he getting the suit back from the Hall of Fame, wouldn’t it be like THE suit was deducted its “THE” title? 😂 That’s why I thought it was better executed with the dry cleaning narrative.
🎉
I can’t wait to see this in theaters in 4K. This is possibly the greatest concert film of all time.
No "possibly" about it!
Agreed.
Was about to write the same words myself.
100%
get up and dance
Technically, this was my son's first concert. I was pregnant when we attended.
Can I meet your son 😅🥰

Thanks to this promo I discovered Stop Making Sense 1984 and my brain melted in amazement. I didn’t know such an amazing concert film existed! 😄
I love that beginning with Psycho Killer on the boom box!
Ah bless
@Nein No Non I wasn’t a TH fan until recently. This concert made me a fan.
Reasons like this why I'm so excited for the re-release. Hopefully a lot more people can discover their music!!
@@luxball_52 My 70 year old mother was lamenting about not being able to go to concerts anymore so last weekend I played it for her (after convincing her that Siskel & Ebert gave it 2 thumbs up.). She was tappin’ her foot and bobbin’ her head the whole time. She’s more into 60s and 70s music but she recognized a lot of the songs and was mesmerized by David Byrnes performance. It deserves a rerelease.
I saw this movie with my brother in 1984. We saw it in a theater in Times Square. To say this movie and Talking Heads changed my life would be an understatement. I was 19 and felt like I didn't belong anywhere. Watching David Byrnes and all the crew of Talking Heads told me I was not alone. There were others out in this world that heard and moved and looked like me. Thank you! Thank you!
Dear Lord, just watching this tiny trailer has brought tears of reminiscent joy to my eyes.
I'm quite sure I am going to enjoy this remastered concert movie.
This concert defines the times my father and I relaxed together. Even sat and watched it when he was told he was terminal with cancer and the suit made us both smile nonetheless 😊😊
I’m gonna cry
I can't stop looking at this trailer, how cute and cool everything is
I just cried a few tears of nostalgia. Excelent trailer, so unexpected.
Me too. ❤️ I love his energy and stage presence so much. We are so lucky to still have him here with us and in such great shape 40 years later.
Yea , totally understand how you feel.
I remember seeing this in the cinema & people were dancing in the isles & album being played in its entirety at house parties.Good memories
The greatest concert film ever made -- back again, for a special release? Sold. I'm in.
David is a national treasure, so talented and a great sense of humor too!
Hey you might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like Talking Heads
One of the best concerts in the rock music history will back this year in 4K, after almost 4 decades.
I can’t believe, we love you Talking Heads, such a great band and inspiration for much musicians and people.
This never gets old.
Holy SHIT! He’s over 400 years old? Explains a lot.
@@dylandog1289 XD I wrote it wrong, my head doesn’t work well
@@MiyushinNeither does mine! Out of all the things I've lost, it's my mind I miss the most!
SO excited to see this again, and again, and again. I love the transformation in 'Stop Making Sense.' I actually have this in my collection. RIP Mr. Demme, you are simply unforgettable (much like David Byrne). x
Oh my God this is my favorite band of all time and I was unfortunately born too late to ever see them live.... this will be the next best thing!!!!
"Hi, I got a tape I wanna play..."
This is awesome news,I have shown your Stop Making Sense DVD to everyone I know for years because I hate to think somebody might not have seen your masterpiece of sight and sound. :-)
Fantastic! I've seen Stop Making Sense in the theater twice before, looking forward to seeing it once again on the big screen! No doubt, people will be dancing in the aisles by the end of it. 😁
I'm up defo
Love love love this song. "Home is where I want to be" as an introvert I couldn't agree more.
Just got mad chills seeing this trailer. You're my biggest inspiration Mr. Byrne.
Omg why do i have chills?!?
Props to the great Jonathan Demme. This masterpiece is just as much his creation as it is this wonderful band’s. He was an amazing filmmaker. Especially his music related projects. New Order’s Perfect Kiss video is a perfect jewel.
I went to this today! It was awesome, still holds up as the best music ever! His performance is genius & every song is fantastic! Highly recommend!
So lucky to have seen the tour in 1983 I think. OMG it was awesome!
Remember seeing it when it came out and thought it was the best concert movie ever , still do 🎸🥁👏
I love that they used naive melody in the trailer. The stop making sense live version is my favorite version of the song, and a song I could make an argument for being a perfect song.
Certainly the greatest love song ever written.
Nice joke, YAAAAWWWN
@@RogueReplicant what
@@unofficialmajima617 Yes, I agree with you. This "music" is waaay overrated and bores me out of my skull 😑
@@RogueReplicant schizo
I laughed way harder than I should have here. Now the office has questions.
OMG ! When he was dancing in front of the mirror and then it cut to him from the original show! I teared up,, not gonna lie
The greatest suit in the history of popular music.
Best concert film ever made. I can't wait to see it in the theatre.
Was one of the first shows I ever saw, top tier, & a life changing experience for a little girl 🖤! I am SO excited for this 🙌🖤🖤🖤🖤!!
I can’t express to you how much I want this on Blu-ray and 4k! I will be seeing this in theaters and buying multiple copies of the movie as gifts!!! Thank you for doing this!
YES!!!!
Back in the day, I saw this movie in the theatres several times and bought the album. I must make a date to see it again.
I saw this Concer tourt live in NZ on a Farm at Sweetwater's Festival about 84..it was even crazier live...Masterpiece
A24 and Talking Heads. Awesome combo hope for a Criterion Release.
I would bet that's coming. Criterion has worked with David Byrne and A24 before, and they've released a few of Jonathan Demme's other films.
I saw him do that in NZ circa 1980. Amazing.
Meanwhile, in 2023 we get "Cocaine Bear".
Let’s go! I hope the band can come together and make peace long enough to celebrate this occasion.
Yeee me too, that would be epic
🪨
Seems like they're only interested in selling old rope. As a huge fan, I find it frustrating and cynical.
No chance. Getting them back together for the Rock Hall Of Fame was difficult enough. The rest of the band hated David.
Not happening. He already said so. He has no interest.
I grew up towards the back end of DVDs, so I'm sure I dont have as much nostalgia as some people, but I'm still excited to see the remaster!
Yes! Yes! Yes!!!!!
I saw this in theaters when it came out in 85 at a particular theater that had a stage and the manager graciously allowed us to dance on the stage during the whole movie in Petaluma California
Can't. Freaking. Wait!!!
David is the best 💜
Saw the movie back in the day. It was in a local theater for one Saturday night only and we went and saw it. Can't wait to take my 17 year old granddaughter to see it. FYI, I don't know how many people know this little tidbit, but whenTime magazine put David on it's cover for an interview, he told them he would do it if they let him design the cover. They agreed and David Byrne became the first person to design a Time mag. cover outside of their people. Thank you David for re-releasing this for our viewing and dancing pleasure.
I remember during the great recession I was a 10 year old Mexican kid working on a construction site (obviously I wasn’t supposed to be) and I remember this old white guy late 40s was listening to Once in a life time then This must be the place and after then Burning down the house, I began to bother the man with a bunch of questions he answered and he ended up giving me the cd he made that had a lot of these songs Billy Joel and other amazing artist of the time. Guy basically introduced me to 80s rock never looked back
They need a reunion tour!
Hey you might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like Talking Heads
Yes!!! This is the film that will finally get me back to the movie theater in person. I have watched it so many times, never get tired of it.
Just saw it! Wonder-full!!
If anybody knows of a better concert film please let me know. I find it difficult to put into words how good “Stop Making Sense” is and how I return to it again and again since seeing the original in 1984 when I was 18. Everything about it is simply brilliant.
Ayeeeeeeeee
This was a tremendous event, and I was sorry I only saw it 3 times in the theater. I wish they'd bring it back over and over. EVERY FAN needs to have a big screen and a theater filled with enthusiastic fans.
This is the best day of my life
Is a brilliant concert. To see this in 4k is amazing !
American Utopia and Stop Making Sense are two of the greatest live performances ever conceived. American Utopia is literally the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen with my own actual eyes. Can’t wait to see the remaster of Stop Making Sense.
I screamed over this!!!! oMG 😱😱😱😱 the best day ever!!! ❤️❤️
Would love to see the whole concert released on vinyl... From the start to the very end.... Will have to go and see this the soundtrack to my youth. Love David Byrne and love Talking Heads.❤
I cannot wait to watch this. What a wonderful film. It will be great to see it restored!
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was, same as it ever was.
Greetings from Detroit
Best concert film ever, and it was a superb tour too.
David Byrne you're a god.
Never for money always for love
I love you guys, individually and as a band. Always will.
Shortly after moving to NYC in 2007 David Byrne almost clipped me on his bike as I was crossing ninth avenue. This must be the place indeed. Can't wait to see this again.
Im crying right now 😭❤
My mother would have loved this. Old man will enjoy it. Keep talking you crazy heads.
This just made my day!!!! Cannot wait for the re-release!!!!
I was there! In fact I saw them three times on that tour. Including 1 of the 3 nights filmed for the movie.
To be honest. I wasn't a fan of Talking heads. I've heard of their music bing 34 years old but this ad alone turned me onto them like crazy. What a great band! This ad, masterpiece.
I LOVE YOU!!! Thank you Talking Heads for bring us ALL so much JOY! YAY!
Yes! 🎉
Can you imagine if they actually reunited to duplicate the concert?
I believe the main 4 are alive but Bernie Worrel passed in 2016.
I love the talking heads. I always heard their songs once in a while in stores or restaurants growing up. Then one lsd trip my girlfriend played them while she drove me around the city. I been in love with them since. On that trip I even got to hear talking heads songs that don’t even exist. One of the best days of my life.
And I still ask myself, "Well, how did I get here?
Screaming & crying & throwing up at this
I cant stop watching this I swear
Discovered talking heads 2 days ago, this is great.
You are in for an absolute treat!!!
When I was a teenager in the mid-80s, I wore out 4 VHS tapes from playing them so much: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii, This is Spinal Tap, and Stop Making Sense.
the sound = instant goose bumbs...love this man
I'm a huge fan... I'm 54 year's old and you're performance still astounds me..I miss you're performance. Atleast I have you tube memories. God speed.
just, yes.
He put it back on...this is Epic and made my year!!!
The fact that this concert has been on my mind !
Yes!
I got quite emotional although really happy when I saw this trailer . Watched the original movie with my mates in GFT Glasgow , age 19 , now I'm 58. Great times Great music and a Great world we live in.
so underrated really. David Byrne's “big suit" was inspired by a trip to Japan he said. There, he’d seen a lot of traditional Japanese Kabuki Theatre...His art is pure brilliance.
I was a little baby when it originally came out in the 80s, really glad I got to see it in IMAX a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing to see on the big screen with big sound. Timeless.
David Byrne. What a showman
Way to go!........total awesomeness in a big suit!
My favorite growing up! This actually brought back so many great memories!
Still got the moves. Can’t tell you how much delight this video gave me. Just listened to Psycho Killer yesterday so definitely in the mood.
Beyond charming! I love David's sense of humor!!
I was born in 90 but I saw this on mtv once and always wanted to find it again and once I saw him bending I was like, NO WAY I’m going to binge all talking heads now
I too can't wait.
O icônico, o melhor, eu assisti há 40 anos e digo que não existe nada que se compare a genialidade desse grupo
One of a kind! Love you all😘
