- Witness the rise of Kneecap - the Belfast trio who became the voice of a generation. In cinemas now.
Based on the origin story of the riotous and ground-breaking Irish-language rap trio Kneecap, the film stars the band’s Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí in their acting debuts alongside Academy Award® nominated Michael Fassbender with Simone Kirby, Jessica Reynolds, Fionnuala Flaherty and Josie Walker.
Set in west Belfast in 2019, it chronicles how fate brings the trio together and how they then go on to “change the sound of Irish music forever”.

This isn't just a movie about rap music this is a movie about Irish culture, heritage and language and how once upon a time it was a crime to be irish in Ireland
Refugees welcome 😂
Saw a preview on Monday. Highly recommended. Really funny too and (although they were playing themselves) terrific acting debuts from the lads. Expected nothing else from Michael Fassbender.

Where did you see it?
I see in film festival@@SK77M14
It is amazing.
I couldn't sit through a film of fast-paced subtitles. Thre should be a dubbed version even though I realise the Irish language is a big point of the film.
