- I bought the 2022 KLR 650 Adventure Bike in February 2022 slightly used. I had not owned a motorcycle in 40 years. It has been a great bike for me. My only real complaint is it's so damn heavy about 470 pounds. I have dropped it a couple of times, but now I can pretty much handle it in most terrain. There are plenty of videos on this motorcycle with people who have a lot more experience than me, but for being a novice it's been a great choice.

I was going to get a DR650 but they've been discontinued in Australia because of the emissions regulations, so I'll probably get a KLR. Have you thought about getting an aftermarket extended gear shift lever? It might give you a bit of extra room along with the footpeg upgrade.

hope you rolled my way shepherd!!! i was going to go to the camp 5 but the guys i was going to meet up with were there when i wanted to roll out but left when i did head west. so we missed hanging . hopefully next year . the klr is a great scooter
