I love seeing what other people pack when they travel. Gives a good idea of what is and isn’t needed. For me, depending on the reason for the trip, I mostly travel light with makeup. Every time I travel it has to be small but versatile. The only time I have a lot is for San Diego Comic Con 😅. I want those vibrant and fun indie shadows to be creative ❤. However, I have a business trip in two weeks and my current list to go light is • Glossier Stretch Concealer- can be used as a light base and concealer • The Saem color corrector trio OR the Makeup Revolution Ubdereue corrector in dark • Covergirl Brow Gel (my arch hairs will curl otherwise 😂) and Sephora Brow Pencil • Normally I take a slim eyeshadow palette like the Rom&nd Better Than Palette in Rosebud Garden and my Kaja Eye bento box in neutral moment. • RMS blush in Crystal Slipper and Addiction Tokyo Matte Blush in Orchid Dusk •Tower 28 Mascara • Dasique Juicy Dewy Lip Tint in Rose Apple and the Tarte Maracuja Lip Plumper in Cherry Blossom. These all cover me for day and night. I highly recommend the Kaja Bento Boxes- they are very travel friendly and provide variety when traveling.
I travel with a lot of stuff. This year I packed and I weighed everything. The choices are always around the color combinations of the clothes, then shoes, then make up. Well, to make up my mind what to bring and to limit the weight I weighed them. I am officially weird and OCD-er. I brought 7 eyeshadow palettes for 17 days of vacation. On my standard this is very light.
@@Tified967 one year I packed light and I thought I could combine clothes and wear them several times. After 2 weeks of vacation I almost burned those when I returned. I hated them so much. Never again: have options in clothes, shoes and makeup. My husband is stoic. After almost 30 years he says nothing, but he was so surprised how light I travel for a couple of days for business trip. Why can’t you do the same when we travel for weekend and for pleasure? Well😉
Everything you brought was perfect. Great choices! For the makeup case I've been using Charlotte Tilbury makeup travel thing. It is nice and compact with compartments. I like to bring the Fenty stick foundation. I may stick the TF stick in there also just because. They are different enough to bring both. Must bring concealer either Haus Labs or the TF stick concealer. I do bring powder bronzer and blush but not my favs and I keep both neutral so they go with anything. One powder that will will for anything, either Charlotte Tilbury pressed airbrush or by Terry hydra something in rose. I'll use my bronzer as a one and done eye shadow and mascara. My downfall is lip products. Even on the daily I have too many in my purse and on my desk. Right now I'm looking at 8 next to my keyboard because I always have something on my lips because I hate dry lips. I'm old LOL

I too have started to pack rather minimally for makeup. I love the Chanel waterfresh complexion touch because the packaging is light, the coverage adjustable and it works as a concealer too. That's my only base product. I travelled recently and took a few singles from Dior and Chanel and they were perfect one and done-s. I pretty much always travel with the CT beautyfying palette for blush/highlighter because the formula is so flawless and the powders are quite sturdy. I do go overboard with lipsticks though....lots of LE, for summer holidays definitely all the fun vibant colours. Mama's gotta look fresh!
I usually take my drugstore makeup. Only because I know if it got lost or broken I can replace it without breaking the bank. I take more than normal. I always think it’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it ❤
I've been traveling from the US to Europe and back every year, most years two or three times, for the last 25 years. The only thing EVER to shatter was the Pat McGrath under eye powder. Everything else - different eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers, powders - it all survived with no problems. My problem is I overpack, because I always think - What if I'm in the mood for something else that I didn't pack? It would be easier if I stayed just for a week or two, but I usually stay for 4 to 6 weeks or more. I am really sad to say I have not managed to find a perfect set of minimal makeup items that are "bulletproof" for me, even after 25 years, but I keep trying LOL.
We pack so similarly! I just got back and I took CT invisible flawless primer, a travel size CT flawless filter, CT concealer, CT lip & cheek glow in color of dreams, Chanel baume essential stick ( use as highlighter and/or eyeshadow), travel size Chanel cream bronzer (can also go as eyeshadow), CT mascara, CT brow lift, CT flawless finish powder and a travel size of the setting spray. And of course 4 lip options-2 Dior lip glow oils in pink lilac and bronzed glow, Lisa Eldridge gloss in Rain and baume embrace in epanoui. I use a CT makeup bag and it has been a game changer. It has compartments so I can organize everything. When I open it I can see everything easily since I don’t travel with a lot- no more sifting through trying to find stuff. It’s all right there- it sort of accordions open and you can see everything so easily- lipsticks together here , eye stuff together next, etc.

It’s my first Harlan Coben book, but won’t be my last! So many twists and turns. I’m 80% through, and am enjoying it so much! So many thanks. :-)
What a great list of products 🤩; some of my must have makeup products for travel are: Hourglass mini vanish airbrush primer - because the mini comes in a tube instead of the bottle that the standard size comes in Mini size tatcha silk canvas balm primer that I use as an under eye primer Makeup by Mario prep and set compact Haus labs concealers Patrick ta duo blushes and bronzer Lisa Eldridge kitten lash mascara, velvet matte and/or lux lucent lipsticks Persona cosmetics eyeliners in the shades stone and graphite For eye shadow I will usually take a self made Natasha Denona palette that I will put together out of all of her midi palettes I have that will suit what I want for the trip and I will put it in an empty metropolis palette that I have because it won’t break and maybe a complementary mini palette or 2 if I want but I am an eyeshadow girlie 😆☺
I have the mini size in two shades of the Givenchy powder and they are so great for travel! And everyday too as it’s so easy to store and who needs large sizes of powder? It takes for ever to use up full sizes. ❤

I travel with minimal makeup. My all time favorite product that's always and everywhere coming with me is one of the Hourglass Ambient lighting 6 pan palettes. I use it for cheeks, eyes, face. Lisa's skin tint will be a newbie this year. Mascara (any tubing mascara) and one lipstick. That's it. Never ever had a problem with broken powder products 🤷🏻♀️. 😘

Creams are definitely the way forward for holidays, due to the aforementioned smithereening potential of powders. I usually take one of the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise pots and a Colour Chameleon crayon for lining. Although I bring mini travel brushes, I tend not to use them and do a super quick makeup with fingers. The lure of dinner is usually enough to significantly cut down the time of my usual makeup routine 😂xx
I travel lighter than you ,although I have a lot of makeup at home. But to me it`s so relaxing when I don`t have to think about any options. On my last holiday I took the Nars orgasm quad with me and had fun making different combinations. The mini Chanel Bronzer will be in my summer holiday bag in August! Together with the Chanel water tint. I loved both last summer.
I travel only with samples and minis. , perfumes (samples from Sephora) 😅 I save the small containers from MAC for loose powder, foundation.. etc. I also buy minis that go straight to my travel makeup bag. There is no way I would ever travel with my eyeshadows pallets or any of my makeup (not even my ND mini eyeshadow pallets) for eyeshadow I’ll use my bronzer and 2 urban decay moondust singles. My travel makeup bag is pretty small 😅

I definitely don’t travel lighter than you. I cannot guess beforehand what I’m actually going to use so I take a lot. The things I end up using the most are my hourglass elephant pallet and my Dior concealer (2shades) that I end up using as foundation.
I always overpack 😅. During the week, I am out of the door within ten minutes and in my mind, I always take my time and explore new techniques or different looks when on holiday. But then I never do 😂, I might have to think about who I really am next time I pack for a trip!

Charlotte I loooove when you do these packing videos!! You seriously inspire me to pair down on what I pack. I took a trip in Spring and really paired down but now in Summer to a really hot climate I’m going to really try and pack ultra minimally with this video as a guide! The Givenchy powder is seriously a lifesaver in hot weather! I’m going to try and take only shadow sticks and avoid powder shadows…ok maybe just Hourglass reflect bc that’s kinda not pressed anyway haha. 💖💕 I love to take the CT cream bronzer, Victoria Beckham/Bobbi Brown eyeshadow sticks, and the Givenchy concealer and Danessa Myricks skin tint bc they’re sheer and light and last well in heat. Omg and the CT spray is a non negotiable 🎉
I'm currently on vacation and all my makeup comes with me. Something for each step, not all the colors, etc yet primer, foundation, blush, bronzer, shadows, etc...... your packing sounds a bit interesting though. You would likely use things that are normally ignored at home... next time I'll try that
Really prefer leaving creams at home on summer vacation. It gets so hot during the trip and ruins bullet lipsticks, even lipliners (so classic wooden pencils it is). I even traveled with powders i don't love but that wasn't fun. Was my makeup bag rummaged through and dropped another time? Yes. But the powders held up, thankfully. Of course they all were lightweight compacts. No chance with a heavy bag full of Westman etc
I also travel light. I always take a couple of Natasha Denona mini palettes, the Hourglass holiday palette, the benefit duo with hoola and Shellie and samples and mini sizes.
Wow I've learnt a lot from this! I usually take tons of makeup & a lot of it isn't even necessarily friendly for hotter climates! If you could do a skin care admission of this I'd love it ❤😊 & yup Tom Ford is definitely not consistent. Haus labs is also my favourite concealer & the Givenchy powder.
I live for a minimalist look! I’m going to packing my vacay bag soon! I prefer a bag you can see through so I have eyes on all the stuff, no need to dump it out in a hotel vanity etc! I also leave my faves at home! I love your style of traveling with makeup!
I love the Lisa Eldridge liquid shadows. I got one of the pink glitter shades and use it under my eyes on my tear bag area. I do tend to take face palettes mainly my ND face palette and then some lip and eye products and a tinted moisturiser with SPF, either Heimish or Dr Jart as those have a high factor. I tend to avoid powder products in case they break too.
Pretty similar... maybe a tad lighter bc I don't take as many lippies or eye products. Just one viseart mini and mini Armani liquid shadow. I do store my makeup in a tote under my seat so there is little chance of breaking though. Love the thought you put into this. You may be the first creator I've seen who doesn't mindlessly over-pack. Hi Charlotte, yes i have noticed the shades with Tom Ford stix ! i like the charlotte Tilbry compact and a couple of lipsticks , thats fine for me , but i must have my base products oh i forgot to say for the evening i use Tome tord stix ,then thats fine , as long asi have my products for going out for a meal i am fine with those products. my love to all liz xx
I take way tomuch makeup. I've cut back from 3 years ago but im traveling bow and realized I could still cut out more. I'm learning what my go to items are that multi-task the best so I anticipate nextctrip to be scaled down even more. And I've got to bring less brushes! This was great! I'm curious if you scale back on skincare, and if so, what do you opt to go without on a trip? 💜
I dont use foundation on holiday i take the chantecaille liquid bronzer and use it as tinted moisturiser and it gives me a fab tan, then a cream blush from shiseido. Try thoxe and let us know!
Au contraire on the ND berry blush palette being smash-proof. My best friend’s cat shoved mine off a dresser, and the left and right pans shattered into a million pieces. I have never in my life had such hate in my heart for an animal. I re-pressed them as best I could, and keep threatening to buy a new one just because it pisses me off to look at it. On the rare occasions for me to wear cool tones, I’m still amazed at the formula, and wish so much that she would do a warm one just like it.
Traveling for work so a little different, but I always end up with the CT pillow talk dreams quad for pretty, professional, reliable results. I also grabbed the LE mascara and Haus labs concealer and mini givenchy powder. Great minds think alike!
I have an Allie Glines bag that looks quite a lot like your Laura Mercier bag! Maybe those or us who couldn’t get the LM bag could look at that instead.

I have to REALLY Light this year because I'm going on a safari and there's a weight limit. But, you will have to rip my makeup out my cold dead hands to forego everything. I might leave out Bronzer, Highlighter, and take one Blush, 2 LE shadows, Eyeliner, Brow Gel, Pencil, 3 lippies. Oh and the LE skin tint. Can I do it???
I would like to pack my absolute favourites but I would be devastated if they broke in transit or got lost - so it’s a great suggestion to take the stuff you kind of like but still work

I always overpack 😅. During the week, I am out of the door within ten minutes and in my mind, I always take my time and explore new techniques or different looks when on holiday. But then I never do 😂, I might have to think about who I really am next time I pack for a trip!
I like to take Westman Atelier makeup sticks with me for ease of packing and use. I also like the Armani liquid eyeshadow.
Oh my gosh thank you SO much for sharing this:) I’m about to go on a girls trip in a few weeks( 8 of us besties since grade school and all hitting 60 this year 🎉). I am famous for being the over-packer in the group and not just the clothes but the makeup and skincare 🙈. I’m determined to pack lightly for this trip and surprise everyone lol as I am endlessly teased for having the heaviest bag in the group.

Charlotte I loooove when you do these packing videos!! You seriously inspire me to pair down on what I pack. I took a trip in Spring and really paired down but now in Summer to a really hot climate I’m going to really try and pack ultra minimally with this video as a guide! The Givenchy powder is seriously a lifesaver in hot weather! I’m going to try and take only shadow sticks and avoid powder shadows…ok maybe just Hourglass reflect bc that’s kinda not pressed anyway haha. 💖💕 I love to take the CT cream bronzer, Victoria Beckham/Bobbi Brown eyeshadow sticks, and the Givenchy concealer and Danessa Myricks skin tint bc they’re sheer and light and last well in heat. Omg and the CT spray is a non negotiable 🎉
I'm currently on vacation and all my makeup comes with me. Something for each step, not all the colors, etc yet primer, foundation, blush, bronzer, shadows, etc...... your packing sounds a bit interesting though. You would likely use things that are normally ignored at home... next time I'll try that
Really prefer leaving creams at home on summer vacation. It gets so hot during the trip and ruins bullet lipsticks, even lipliners (so classic wooden pencils it is). I even traveled with powders i don't love but that wasn't fun. Was my makeup bag rummaged through and dropped another time? Yes. But the powders held up, thankfully. Of course they all were lightweight compacts. No chance with a heavy bag full of Westman etc
Yes, the Tom fords are not consistent.
I wear 7.2 and 7.7 in stick and liquid but in one of them 7.7 is lighter and in the other 7.2 is lighter.

I also travel light. I always take a couple of Natasha Denona mini palettes, the Hourglass holiday palette, the benefit duo with hoola and Shellie and samples and mini sizes.

Wow I've learnt a lot from this! I usually take tons of makeup & a lot of it isn't even necessarily friendly for hotter climates! If you could do a skin care admission of this I'd love it ❤😊 & yup Tom Ford is definitely not consistent. Haus labs is also my favourite concealer & the Givenchy powder.
I live for a minimalist look! I’m going to packing my vacay bag soon! I prefer a bag you can see through so I have eyes on all the stuff, no need to dump it out in a hotel vanity etc! I also leave my faves at home! I love your style of traveling with makeup!
I love the Lisa Eldridge liquid shadows. I got one of the pink glitter shades and use it under my eyes on my tear bag area.
I do tend to take face palettes mainly my ND face palette and then some lip and eye products and a tinted moisturiser with SPF, either Heimish or Dr Jart as those have a high factor.
I tend to avoid powder products in case they break too.
Pretty similar... maybe a tad lighter bc I don't take as many lippies or eye products. Just one viseart mini and mini Armani liquid shadow. I do store my makeup in a tote under my seat so there is little chance of breaking though. Love the thought you put into this. You may be the first creator I've seen who doesn't mindlessly over-pack. Hi Charlotte, yes i have noticed the shades with Tom Ford stix ! i like the charlotte Tilbry compact and a couple of lipsticks , thats fine for me , but i must have my base products oh i forgot to say for the evening i use Tome tord stix ,then thats fine , as long asi have my products for going out for a meal i am fine with those products. my love to all liz xx
I take way tomuch makeup. I've cut back from 3 years ago but im traveling bow and realized I could still cut out more. I'm learning what my go to items are that multi-task the best so I anticipate nextctrip to be scaled down even more. And I've got to bring less brushes! This was great!

I dont use foundation on holiday i take the chantecaille liquid bronzer and use it as tinted moisturiser and it gives me a fab tan, then a cream blush from shiseido. Try thoxe and let us know!
Au contraire on the ND berry blush palette being smash-proof. My best friend’s cat shoved mine off a dresser, and the left and right pans shattered into a million pieces. I have never in my life had such hate in my heart for an animal. I re-pressed them as best I could, and keep threatening to buy a new one just because it pisses me off to look at it. On the rare occasions for me to wear cool tones, I’m still amazed at the formula, and wish so much that she would do a warm one just like it.
Traveling for work so a little different, but I always end up with the CT pillow talk dreams quad for pretty, professional, reliable results. I also grabbed the LE mascara and Haus labs concealer and mini givenchy powder. Great minds think alike!

I have to REALLY Light this year because I'm going on a safari and there's a weight limit. But, you will have to rip my makeup out my cold dead hands to forego everything. I might leave out Bronzer, Highlighter, and take one Blush, 2 LE shadows, Eyeliner, Brow Gel, Pencil, 3 lippies. Oh and the LE skin tint. Can I do it???

I would like to pack my absolute favourites but I would be devastated if they broke in transit or got lost - so it’s a great suggestion to take the stuff you kind of like but still work
