I have a mud twister XL it starts to bite good in water and then it like you hit neutral is this caused from cavitating and did your cavitation plate fix your problem ?
Would you suggest a normal long tail or the twister for very shallow water and a rocky bottom. I currently run an sps with a 420 predator but just bought the 670 predator and need a larger kit.
First I appreciate you taking the time to make the video. Have you ran your boat yet with that plate? I have the same exact one and the angle it comes with makes the motor dive deep, fight me and I get no speed. I made a new mount and have the plate a little higher and horizontal to the prop (like in your first video) and my speed tripled. Not to mention the motor is much easier to control because it doesn't fight me that way. The only problem is at higher speeds the prop loses bite and Its pointless to Rev the engine any higher because the speed doesn’t increase.
Hi Spearo. I have the same motor and installed the same plate. I had it tighten down good but unfortunately the plate came off in the first 20 seconds of running. Do you have a video or anything of your new set up? I would be interested in seeing how it looks. I have a few videos of my Twister. Thanks!
isme sameguy what I did with one is set my prop where I wanted it in the water 3” below surface took my plate off and adjusted the bend a little til it sit flat. If the back of the plate is high it dives of the more you bend it the closer it gets to the prop so check that as well.
To answer the question for myself I tried it without the cavitation plate didn't work very well I put a cavitation plate on it works great I highly recommend them to anybody and I sell them in the Midwest mudskipper on Marketplace

If I happen to get one I'd highly recommend lock nuts as well as loke tite plus I might even tack weld to u bolt plate
I've been wondering how that Twister drive worked. Do you like it?

How deep do you run it? I have same problem.... Looses bite.
If you want to make sure you don't lose you're plate, use red lock tite

A função dessa rabeta é o hélice se posicionar como em uma rabeta vertical. Este hidrofóbico deve ser posicionado a 90 graus do hélice.
