Long video is better then chopping it up. Thanks
HELLO. This is my third video of yours. Very informative and wonderful entertainment. I also subscribed. Keep em coming.
Thanks so much Rhino. The newest ones are way better than these older vids but I hope you enjoy all of em
Nice work!!
Thanks Wayne!!! These older videos are not my best cinematography wise 😂
thank you much
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
That good want see it all at once
Thanks Lori. I’ll start trying to squeeze projects into one video
nice job
Thanks!
Like the hat
Can you do a video on how you got started. I’d love to break off my company and start my own thing
Good video as always
Glad you enjoyed
2nd time watching this video, thanks again for the information.
iv been looking at vio-35
You gotta love the south... people are just so laid back and in no hurry to do anything they will just sit up under a tree all day and watch you work!
True story
We used to cut out the bad section, cut a new piece of pipe and use those rubber connector and depending on how much pressure was gonna be on the pipe whether we put concrete on the joints
As the saying goes, Don't Sweat The Small Stuff!!!
personally i like your longer videis, ilike seeing start to finish
I’m changing things to where that’s how it will be
save the turtle :)
The Lawyer for the Turtles HOA Wants Reparations !
Always like the long ones. This short stuff every one is pushing is going to rot minds. Just another way to control things. IMO
😎
In a flood all that soft soil is going to block up that pipe , it should have been down another foot at least .
I have a Local Concrete plant that gives me free washout I have found it great for filling culverts between the pipe and it gets really hard and wont wash out. the down side is that it may stick inside of truck a bit and may need to be shoveled out after each dump ? but it is free stuff.
Water will continue to undermine the pipes, you placed them too high. Always dig down about a foot into the river before placing the culvert. Over time a small portion of the bottom of the culvert pipe will fill with sediment to create a new river bed inside the pipe as a result of placing the culvert deeper. This will not clog the pipe. It will also help in retaining the culvert pipe. When filling, the proper way is to use small rocks on the sides of the pipe as they will help drain soil water down and away from the culvert. Adding a bit of the rocks to the top of the soil dressing will help in compaction and able to carry the weight of larger vehicles. Always have about 2 foot of soil on top of the culvert to ensure during very high water levels there is enough downward pressure to not dislodge the pipe. Most of the decisions taken are ways of cutting costs, but i would never just place culvert pipes on top of a moving body of water, always cut down at least a foot as mentioned earlier.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Very well put. I also appreciate the way you present it being polite and professional. Thanks for watching🙏🏻
Thank you for your input. I learned a lot between the video and your suggestions. Be safe!
@@Big.Ron1 agreed, this video plus this input is very helpful indeed. I have erosion wearing down the creek banks and I am hoping that i can install culverts like these from one end to the other and fill to cover the culverts to "cover" the creek
@@utherknight017 ya add some geotec as well and knock a couple lifts with light compaction
@@DigginLife21
Wow. Congrats on handling constructive criticism like a champ. 👍
👍
Hancor a mfg of these type of pipe call for back file of pea stone compacted during backfill. Also pipes to be separated to enable compaction between the pipes for support they also call for one foot of compacted fill over the pipe
👍
Love your videos ..,wish I lived in your area I'd hire ya, love this creek property I'm looking for it ...I want to build a tiny home on w/out basement. My dream is a creek . Beautiful property out there.
You can do it!
I prefer longer videos too. Enjoyed thoroughly and learned alot.
Hi, it looks great, did you have to pull a permit for this project? If you did, I was wondering if you can share with me the code in your area so that I can have an idea what I need to do before I start building mine… I am worried about code violations in my area.
Long videos are better than multiple part ones. Just found you, sofa room so good.
Wouldn’t it be easier to just truck some fill in ? You’ve already blown some time just pulling trees out.
Culvert work is my personal favorite
👍👍👍
Lookin’ good
Enjoy the explanations, thanks!
New operator. The narration is very helpful.
Thanks for the feedback John
I like the talking it helps me understand what you are doing.
👍👍👍
Teenager wanting to have my own excavation business this is very helpful!
That’s awesome!!! Start small and build it slow
I have a existing concrete/steel culvert about 3' x 15' I would like to expand the driveway a bit. Any suggestions on how to add to it without starting from scratch?
i like it when yoou explain what is going on, its helps to see the overall picture, thanks for doing so.
Glad you enjoy it!
Yes the videos are a little long for me but great information thanks for sharing
Like start to finish
Thank you 😊! If I can convince my husband that watch this then he'll have a admit that I actually have the best ideas to deal with our similar creek culvert issues 😃😁🇺🇸
Best channel I've found he explains more than most eyes can see. Awesome stuff
Thanks John!!!
I prefer showing us the whole process in one video, regardless how long the video is. Clicking around looking for videos so that I can watch them in sequence is not always easy.
True story
I won't mention any names but if you watch the YT's for your 'learning or entertainment' instead of some bickering alphabet TV show, a lot of people tend to like longer than a 30+ minute video. Seems like no one wants to hear a story from beginning to end anymore, SMH. ( The procrastinator types) daaaaangson .. I know he didn't just go there. 👀🤔
Don’t mind a longer video. Enjoyed start to finish 😊
Turned out to be a good looking project.
Thanks it will be great help for when I do the same job .
Great excitement and educational 😅
I like the start to finish job in one video.
Thanks for the feedback James 🙏🏻. I’m sure this is the way I will be doing my vids for the foreseeable future
I like the longer videos that are start to finish.
Looks like fun. 😊
It definitely was!!!
Your commentary is perfect! Those who don't want you to talk at all can just mute their device!
Thanks JD!!!
I hit mute about 90 seconds in. Good job.
Love the full video of the job start to finish!
Great job!!!
I too like to see a job through from beginning to end in one sitting. I passed up a movie on Netflix to watch your video and I was thoroughly entertained with your dialogue, I need the full details. I am a homeowner in the Tehachapi mountains that are located in California. I recently bought a house (April 2021) that was built in 2006 and most likely has not had any excavation up keep since it was built. I'm mostly likely in over my head for the excavation I need to do but your videos give me enough tips that I'm willing and looking forward to doing some digging. Good stuff, thanks!
Keep saying your thoughts definitely
Yes sir. One long video is better. Too hard to find the pieces and put them together otherwise.
Thanks for publishing this
Start to finish is good !
Thanks for the input
Love watching your channel don’t mind the long vidoes
Glad you like them Michael!!!
Great video. I enjoy your comments.
Thanks Don!!! I appreciate you taking the time to comment
Great video with some very useful tips.
I find it very helpful, you explaining what your doing and why. Your doing a great job! As far as I'm concerned, don't change anything!
I appreciate that!
I like see the whole job at once and not having to hunt it later. Thanks
Thanks for the feedback
Thanks. Learned a lot.
My pleasure!!! Thanks for watching🙏🏻
That's the way I would have done it.
Good job
That pure dirt will never hold up needed some rock put in
It's inspiring to watch how much control you have over that excavator... and stopping to save the turtle was great. Thanks for posting.
Really enjoy these videos. Lots of good advice.
Looks great.
That water is going to flow for many years now, well done.
I appreciate the double comment.
I like culvert videos and the longer vids good work
Thanks Jason!!! Great to see ya
I am working on putting two culverts in, I picked up a couple of things that I had not thought of.
I really appreciate your videos
Awesome job, thanks for the tutorial, it helps a lot.
Glad it helped!
Great work as always
The talking is just fine.
Whole job in one video is nice
I agree. I think I’m gonna try to just put one really good vid together per week
I appreciate the explanation on how to do things such as picking up the trees and moving it in position to track to where ever you are gonna dump it. Those sorts of explanations are very helpful for people that don't have much experience (in dirt work). Also I appreciate you putting all of one job on the same video even though it is longer that way.
I appreciate you taking the time to comment🙏🏻
My boss owns a excavating business and I swear you sound just like him...."that's some good dirt right thar!" Lol
No use of stone or birm for compaction? Hmmmm
Keep up the good work i like how u explain stuff thanks todd
Always my pleasure. Thanks for taking the time to comment
how much weight does those culverts hold?
Great video, i learned a ton of stuff seriously.
Great videos! Love your content
Do you have to pull a permit for a job like that?
Good eye saving the turtle 👍🏻🇺🇸great video and awesome job
Hey , another totally awesome video ... I like the long video's because so many times it's hard to get the sequence in order . Your doing a great job . They camera work and equipment usage is spot on . Kep it up . I know it takes a tremendous amount of extra work to create this kind of quality . Thank you for all the extra efforts .
It’s a lot of fun to make these videos. Even more so when I manage to do one people really like. Thanks for your support
I love the excavator. Good work.
Love start to finish videos and your very informative thanks.
