The soup is "albondijas", spanish for meatballs. Typically made in a soup style in Mexico and other parts of Latin America. 👍
I've yet to explore the latin section of that buffet. That'll change soon enough. We'll be back soon.

I remember this buffet like it was yesterday..🤣nothing to write home about. Honestly until trying other buffets, this is what always came to mind for me, when someone said “hey do you want to go to a buffet” this is what I use to picture.. ummmm no thanks..🤣

Good, honest review. The best was the excitement in your voice at "its a cookie...oh it's a marshmallow inside! followed by a quick, it's not good"! First time in a long time you did not get your moneys worth at a buffet. MEH

Long time follower but never subbed. Subscribed today due to your honesty. Luxor even at 2for1 I think would be a waste of MyVegas points but it's the only place open during my free days. If we go it'll be just to fill up on the bacon, omelettes and now churros! Thanks for tasting almost everything for us.

Yeah, I stayed at Excalibur a couple years ago and thought their buffet was pretty decent, but I thought Luxor's would be better. I was sadly mistaken and wished I stuck to the Excalibur buffet.
Yes the Excalibur buffet is pretty good. Getting a crepe dessert made fresh was pretty amazing

Albondigas Soup - Mexican meatball soup
As mentioned in one of your livestreams, go to 888 Japanese or 888 Korean. They both have three price points as cheap as $24.99 AYCE up to $40 with Pork Belly Samplers and Kobe Steaks (not A5 of course). I get that your comfort level with Asian food may not be up to par, but if you like Red Meat, you won't regret it. Those are now the best all you can eats offered in Vegas post covid in my opinion. "It's Sushi' ACYE was very good quality sushi too in the same shopping parking lot as 888 Japan...at around $30-$40. I would also recommend trying out Din Tai Fung (not for their dumplings, but for their Baby Back Rib appetizer, Hot/Sour Soup, Cream Top Ice Teas, Chocolate/Sesame Mochis. Strip Buffets post covid is old news. MGM ruined them. I used to only eat at Buffets in Vegas because they were so cheap/free and so great. Wicked, Bach, Bellagio, Wynn are still good, but not great at their new price points.

Yes Aria buffet was the best. I went there with sister in summer of 19 and was so looking forward to going back again.so sad they are not opening it back up. Thanks for your review of a buffet I shall never visit.
You can try Wynn's buffet, but it was horrible last August when Marc Sanson & I went. Maybe it's better in 2022. Would be great to find out. That was the only time I ever had horrible Prime Ribs.
The Luxor buffet was the first buffet I ate at in Vegas when I was a kid in the nineties! My first trip to Vegas!!! I think that is why I never go to buffets in Vegas- was scared for life!!
Yeah, i did'nt like the Luxor buffet either (i had the dinner buffet) when i stayed there. I just ate at Nathan's in the food court, which was much better and cheaper.
Wow just wow! So sad .. one would think with all the strip competition there would be better stuff there.
I had the very same reaction when I went last month... glad to have used the myVegas 2-for-1 so I didn't pay full price! I won't be eating there again... I can recommend the brunch buffet at Main Street Station in downtown LV. It's good!

We got a deal where it was $45 to visit Luxor, Excalibor and MGM buffets for 24hrs as many times as you wanted back in 2013. As I recall Luxor even back then was the weakest of the three,

Take a walk over to either Mandalay Bay or Excalibur, buffets are much better there.
I've stayed at the Luxor multiple times and only been to the buffet once, you're better off going to the pyramid café. depending on the time of day and what you're craving, give Tender a try, excellent steak dinner. the Pub house has good bar type food. Diablos Cantina is good as well. if you want to make the walk to Mandalay bay dinning selections are good there, and Ri'Ra has a good brunch.
on the plus side there is a never ending selection of food in vegas so you will never be hungry.

Last time I went there on my holiday I got food poisoning. And the gent who came to unclog my sink as I didn’t make the toilet said next time I would stop drinking before you get to this point. 🤣. I was only there for 4 nights and spent 2 days very I’ll. just what you want after a 10.5 hour flight.

I felt depressed for you after watching your reaction to this buffet. Unfortunately I’ve ate there before many many years ago and I also loved the theme but the food was worse than hometown buffet. My van last trip I ate at the Bellagio buffet, now that was absolutely delicious 🤤
Bellagio Buffet was decent, but not for the price. They had decent seafood offerings, but was lacking Crabs and is no longer serving dinner. (closes between 3pm-4pm) And their prices are now $50 for weekday brunch and $60 for weekend brunch. These price points are more expensive than pre-covid Dinner prices in 2019. Wicked Spoon is also only brunch but is cheaper and serves crabs during Brunch Hours. Wicked Spoon might actually be the only buffet that serves Crabs during Brunch Hours. I know Bach and Wynn do not serve crabs until after 3pm.
@@igloozoo3771 I’ve never been to wicked spoon, that is next on my list. And you are right the buffet prices have definitely sky rocketed everywhere, luckily I used my MLife but one get one free buffet at Bellagio 👌🏼
First time I went to Vegas (5 years ago) stayed at the Luxor and went to the buffet, it was pretty decent. Love the decor in there but the food selection looks so sad!!
I like the Luxor, the rooms, the slots, the other restaurants, but you are right about their buffet. It sucks.

Went Monte Carlo was still around... 1st time i went was is 1998... their breakfast buffet was 13.99 with AYCD mimosas... and the buffet was absolutely delish! I miss buffets that were reasonably priced & delicious.. Just like Bellagios dinner buffet was $35 in 2009...had the best steak tartare (i know..at a buffet right??) They also had a delish rabbit dish too..AYCE King Crab that were split for you.. snow crab ..prime rib etc... 😫 Miss those days... I also remember when the Sterling Brunch was only $65pp.. most recently was $125pp .. now i believe its completely closed..

Haven’t been to Vegas since 2005. Luxor Buffet looks the same as back then. But food was fine then.
The wife and I ate there at the beginning of March and it was horrible,the best thing we had was the pizza and a salad besides that everything else was just terrible 🤮
I always thought that out of all the MGM buffets Aria was the best..so sad its gone

There is agreement among the recent reviews of Luxor buffet.
I don’t know that the Luxor buffet was ever really that good. We’ve only eaten here with a free MyVegas comp. I wouldn’t pay for this one. As far as the Aria buffet being gone, I’m not heartbroken. I got food poisoning from that buffet. 🤢

@@peterbicker8389 I haven’t tried the Bacchanal Buffet yet. I enjoy the Wicked Spoon. My husband loves the Wicked Spoon because they offer so many options for his dietary restrictions (gluten free). I did enjoy the Wynn Buffet dinner. The experience, the customer service. I definitely would go back to try breakfast/brunch. I struggle to justify the cost of the buffets because I don’t eat much at them and I don’t eat seafood and I can’t eat meat. I can say I went to Vegas and I did the buffet! 😄

Didn’t see this video until today. Ate at the Luxor buffet yesterday (5/13/22). Total garbage. It was truly AWFUL. Shame on the management. Ate at Luxor’s buffet in years past, and it was good. What happened???

the food looked gross. and the serving areas look very dirty and disorganized as well. The food was probably frozen food is my guess. I will be doing the bacchanal buffet when I am out there in October.

I came here in like Oct 2019...it was the only buffet that had crab legs for lunch. For that purpose only it was good the rest of the food bleh
