Appreciate the review Coop! Glad you love the bar and look forward to seeing you compare it against our competition. We like our odds ;)
As for the slower process of putting out new equipment. We've taken more time during our prototyping phase, testing, blind testing, quality review, and more. It is all done to ensure what ends up in everyone's hands is something that we've spent a lot of hours ensuring is amazing, and a step above anything else out there.
Side note: got another pad en route to you. We always take care of our customers, and you're no different. Thanks again!
Hey guys. Calibrated comp plates when? That's my next big investment.
@@bmstylee same! Would love to hear an update on this as well
I saw it in Coopâs video, but couldnât test my padding till today. Since I received the Bar on Friday with no padding :/. Yes the padding has more consistency in the back and left padding. The right side padding has less consistency. Would that lead for the padding to wear uneven? Are you guys taking any steps to improve the quality control and correcting the issue? @Rep Fitness
Is it possible if you guys put the weight of the bar on the end cap like coop mentioned?
does your rep handles fit the titan ssb?
âAlways cut towards the neckâ, best advice ever given by Coop
Coop, would love a big overall comparison of all the safety squat bars together
Would be awesome to see them all compared
He actually did a video with all of them a year ago
Looks amazing. They made unique improvements and fixed other problems with elite fts / titan. Etc. just saw GGLs review too. Going to get this one.
Nice! I'm really liking what REP is producing.
Waiting for the Ares and Open Trap bar to ship. Bought both when they went on Pre Order.
it's almost August! hope it ships at the beginning of the month vs the end
@@C3L1CA94 I'm patient..
Thanks for the review. The balance and the handles really sold me on this bar. For someone who hates to do squats and hate the arm placement when doing a normal squat, this is a nice get around. It feels more natural having your arms in front, better form and balance, less stress on your body. Would be nice if the bar had bearings/bushings, but I guess at the price point it's selling at it still offers very good value.
I got metal letter and number stamps from harbor freight and labeled every bar and accessory handle I have with them. Best thing I did. So much nicer than tryin to remember everything
The camber ANGLE is 20 degrees. 5" camber drop titan. 6" drop elitefts. 3.5" drop bells of steel. Watch the reviews done by Garage Gym Lab. They go in depth on the balance padding everything.
Nice overview. Just ordered one and there rackable curl bar. I like what this company is doing can tell they are putting a lot of thought in there design and glad they started shipping up here in canada . Looks mean with those deep dish on there $$
Great bar - goes on the rack no problems. Another Rep piece that has lived up to the hype in my home gym
Takes a re-rack like no problem. Right? Not afraid at all. That's a great bar right there.
@@ericcartmansstrengthandpow5960 exactly
Great video. Canât wait to see their trap bar.
If I didn't already have an SSB, this would be the one I'd get. Hoping you'll do a review on the REP trap bar when you get one
Just bought one of these based on your review...can't wait to get it.....
I really like this ssb. It seems like REP delivered on this one.
Seems like a great SSB, I have the Elite FTS one and donât see a point in buying another but this looks great!!
EliteFTS is the gold standard. REP is bullshit
Excellent, was hoping this turned out well. Looks like I'll probably be buying from Rep when I finally get a SSB
Great review đ
I'll be testing this bar before I weigh in on it but with my current shoulder injury the timing couldn't be better! REP making great innovative products as usual!
Could tell you were favoring it in the REP power bar vid, keeping arm tucked into ribs.
@@JoeyJungleGym Good eye. It's improved a ton since I shot that vid but still not pressing anything yet. Soon my friend. The grind continues.
Love all your videos, wondering if you could do a video comparison on the Forces USA and the Jacked up power rack. I have been wondering which one is better. I appreciate any feedback.
Yes sir, certainly would like a comparison and review after use. Is it worth upgrading from Titan V2? Keep up the good work!
Looking fit Coop. Good stuff man.
I really like using these bars. They feel great.
Funny I used a safety squat bar almost 30 years ago. Never knew they called them that. It didnât have handles. The handles that held onto attached to the squat rack and placed to what level you wanted to squat.
Coop! Back in the garage! love the Original content. Do you have a link to an inexpensive pair of axle bar collars? Thanks in advance.
Girthy & Knurly
Come on, GGR! Someone should tell Coop about these Greek God names. First Kabuki's Kratos and now Rep's Ares. Love the content, just had a "confused Nick Young" moment đ€Ł
Another good value bar is the Wright Equipment Made in USA Safety Squat Bar. Knurled handles (fixed, not removable) Olympic style 2 inch diameter sleeves with bearings and black zinc, good padding and a nice powder coat on the shaft. The only downside is the relatively short loadable sleeve length of just under 13 inches. This could be an issue for people using bumpers as opposed to steel/iron plates. The upside is PLENTY of room to rack on a wider squat rack such as a Rogue.
Yoke all the way, plus you usually can get free shipping. Itâs also usually in stock and will get it in a week
Would be great if you could review the Cerberus SSB. It has some interesting features: 225k psi tensile, 2.4m length, rotatable sleeves, knurled removable handles and all red cerakote shaft and padding, although bought mine shortly after product release and current one seems to now have a black shaft (have been told they're going to revert to red).
New Marrs bar has Removable sleeves and comes in a box now
This was my first specialty bar purchase and I couldnât be happier with it. Great finish. Love the balance with and without weights. Pad firmness is the same all the way around. And those âgirthyâ handles are perfect.
Thank you Joshua!
Can you try it with JM presses? I love getting extra use out of my SSB for pressing, would be nice to see if that slight camber diff matters there. Gotta squeeze out gains where you can.
Coop, maybee adding some serious wieght would show off the way the different cushions pad really behave.
Also, when you talk about the "drop difference" between brands, my best guess for the 20Âș at titans is actually about the angle the shaft makes against the handles plane.
Finally, I would suggest to add some tape on the shaft just exactly where the j cups mmet the bar, this is just for coating protection, it looks weird but it will take care of the ssb.
Ordered one yesterday. Should have it by early September.
Thank you! It should ship mid/late August.
Saw garage gym lab also did a great comparison of this bar to others. Definitely getting mine assuming it won't be out of stock after all these reviews. Can't wait for a first look at their open trap bar once it ships.
I ordered the rep SSB last night. Will ship first week of September
Transformer bar all the way for me. Canât beat the front squat option the day after shoulders.
Those handles doe pro make em say "Whoa"
Solid addition to their line up
Agreed
Howâs it compare to the Titan v2 ssb?
@@bigpapipapa256 I think the general consensus is head to head the REP is built better with nicer finishes. However I believe the V2 SSB from Titan can now be had for like $100 or less, so the question is more about what you want from the bar and if you're willing to pay.
@@BasementBrandon ok thank you for the reply i appreciate it!
Coop let us know if those knurled handles are interchangeable ssb to ssb, I would love to put the kabuki or rep handles on the Titan ssb.
Great call out! I'd love to put those on my Titan
Agreed. Would love to buy a pair!
I wanna know too!
Gluck said in his review the rep handle thread is a different size.
They are not interchangeable
If they had this out when I bought my Elitefts several years ago, I would've definitely chose it. I like the chrome sleeves and knurled handles. And I wouldn't have had to buy axle bar collars as I did for the Elitefts. Not to mention the free shipping too.
Coop! Bret here, your content is freaking awesome dude. What floor tiles are you using in this GYM. They look great.
looks like an upgrade to my ELite bar. What j cups are those? Looks like the protect the bar alot and let you move left to right if using alot of weight.
Can you review the bells of steel ssb. I like there stuff a lot and I'm not sure which one is better at this price.
I tested the SSB at their show room in PA. The arm squish felt the same on each.
Good Review. I'm guessing the Pad issue has something to do with how the foam is injected during the manufacturing process...guessing the soft side is the beginning phase and the harder side is the ending phase of the process if that makes sense. Hope it gets fixed
nice review, I can't believe titan is doing a made in America version
Lookin beefy Coop, great jobđȘđȘđȘâââ
curious to see your thoughts on titan vs. rep SSB as I'm currently making that purchaseing decision now
Looks like the BOS version. Any chance we can get the TSS power bar?
SS YOKE is $345 and free shipping. Which is better? I'd go with the YOKE, because it's made in the U. S. of A., baby!
Coop if you had the titan SSB V2 would you swap the handles out for eye hooks and add rogue nunchucks for grips via a carabiner or would you sell the titan SSB V2 and buy this rep one?
Nice video! Would love to hear back from Rep on the weird padding issue.
Man thatâs the next purchase for me for sure. Fingers crossed I can get it to hawaii without a huge fee
Edit: does not ship here
I'd really like to see a video on the clothes y'all wear. Like I really like those shorts coop is wearing but I have no idea what they are. Do a video on clothing brands etc... I watched the video on shoes and found it really helpful. Do a video on joggers shorts shorts hats anything would be great.
Did you try going heavier with the bar 300+ lbs to see if the padding keeps the bar from digging into your shoulders?
Hola necesito me recomiendes un banco FID pero que pueda ponerle attachment como banco predicador o leg extension
Can you please do a review on the force g20 sometime?
If only this came out sooner! I have the titan SSB V2 with the Baresteel Equipment knurled handles, overall it costs more then the rep SSB bar.
at least your titan ssb has two type of foams superior than the reps single foam.
Can those handles screw into the titan/Bronson/other imported SSB?
I wonder if the those SSB handles would fit on the Elitefts one
Nice GORUCK shorts!!!
Hey coop my dad recently posted me deadlifting 205 on your Facebook and I was wandering if you could give me some tips on form
If only you can buy SSB with padding in one piece from where I live :( bar looks amazing.
Do a Titan vs Rep comparison
pls do a review of the Safety Squat Bar from PowerLift USA
Dave Tate designed the bar purposely so the sleeves donât rotate to make it harder on the lifter as in making their upper back work harder to fight against the bar that is trying to bring them down.
Every other company (including REP) does the same for that reason.
No it would not be nice if the sleeves rotate.
There is no purpose and defeats the bars original designed purpose.
Review of Bells of Steel safety squat bar??? Has 3 removable handles....
I would 100% buy a girthy and knurly GGR shirt
I'd rather see a head to head with the bells of steel SSB over titan. Titan's new USA bar is a similar version to their 2.0. There are too many safety squats to keep track of nowadays.
Why would they just ship the padding in a separate box? Strange! I thought it would be handled and sleeves in the other box! đ€
Have you reviewed the Prime Super Squat Bar?
Can we get a titan ( new ) vs rep vs elite fts please
Anyone with spinal issues have experience with a safety squat bar? As in does it reduce pressure on the spine. Iâve been using a linebacker squat attachment and that works great at eliminating compression on my spine. Thanks fitness peeps
Rep Ares and Rep Athena we need to see!!
How does it compare to the Elitefts version?
Titan SSB V2 crew checkin' in. Got mine for like 180 new. That deal is like a sore wiener, you just can't beat it.
Is it good for heavy lateral raises and incline bench without wrist wraps?
Pad just came. Same weird pad situation.
i need to get a ssb. for some reason when i place bars on back of my neck, they hurt my vertebrae near the bottom of neck and top of shoulder
I'm going ssb..not risking the damage
what brand shorts are those I want a pair?
I wonder if these knurled handles will also fit on a titan ssb
I'd like to know this too
No
Coop, I don't remember the review. What's your thoughts on your TRX?
Great truck. Ram really stepped up their game đ
Anybody know if this will fit on a prx pro rack?
Do those handles fit into the EliteFTS SS Yoke? I already have the SS Yoke, but would love girthy knurled handles.
Ooh, good question. Will have to try this.
@@GarageGymReviews Assuming they fit, I'm hoping REP sells the handles separately.
I just don't know why they don't have bolt on handles so that you can adjust the angle between the handles and the sleeves.
Coop out here looking like an msnbc dad
Dam though is was Brandom Campbell for a second there...
I literally clicked thinking this was a Brandon Campbell video lol
Received my Blitz bike right before your review and just received this bar today! How much money you think I saved??? Lol
I don't just think this is the best ssb for the value but actually the best ssb overall in nearly every way.
The sponge on both my sides feels exactly the same.
Coop looking aesthetic. Keep that short haircut.
Yes first comment! Thanks for everything you do coop!
Why would one side be denser than the other? Is that what she said?
Boom goes the dynamite
Is this why itâs taking over a month for me to get a damn bench from REP? They sending it all to coop
Great review as always, but is anyone else just wanting something different. I feel like lately it's been SSBs, benches, bars, and bikes and that's fine I guess. They are the most popular ideas, however I feel like it's the same thing with a different brands and modest tweaks. I do like the knurling on the handles with this SSB though, but I'm not trading in my Titan V-2 for it. Idk I'd just like to see Rogue's new T-bar stand or Titan's new GHR. That's just my opinion and I tend to watch whatever Coop and GGR puts out regardless of the content, because of their honest reviews.
I'm gonna comment on every video until I get my g20 review.. do I need to do a dance before you make a review of the g20?! I'll do it..
compare it to the bells of steel
Jack didnât squeeze the cushion đ
Still not over how coop says "krahtoes" and now "airess".
Iâm starting to wonder if Rogue is doing exactly what everyone else has done to them which is wait until everyone else comes out with their product and then come out with their product which will be bigger, badder, and better. So maybe the best is yet to come!
5% better for 3X the price! đ€Ș
@Otherwise Healthy which means the next one will be probably around 600 thanks to "inflation". đ
I'm of course exagerrating about it being 3X the price, but my point is that Rogue is overpriced for what it delivers
@@avinashtyagi2 i see what youâre saying and when they released the multi grip bar it was gonna be close to a grand ($965 or $985?) for the stainless options. Thatâs when they lost my interest. I was like holy friggân cow!! Which that is almost 3x the rep camber bar but theyâre completely different so I understand them being higher BUT when you can get the elite fts AND the rep camber for less and have various thicknesses and angles I would prefer to just have both of those. But now that Rogue has the thinner one I do have some interest in that one but with maybe the shorter black sleeves. So many options these daysâŠ
@@meisdetermined Options are always good for the consumer
Before rogué was elitefts, way,way before
Titan SSB V2 is $230 or at least it is right now. At $230 I think it's a better value. At $300 I'd go with Rep.
