May the Lord return quickly! Amen. God is merciful. He always forgives. Never be ashamed to take your failures to him. He is for you, not against you! God is with you in the storm. He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! Believe and trust in the Lord, you will be saved. Period. May the Lord bless you all! Hang in there family. Stay strong. It is not easy following the Lord. We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. Things may get better or worse for you, but a kingdom awaits you! Finish the race! Repent daily and carry your cross. This world is fading fast. Your troubles are temporary! New channel here, I’d appreciate any kind of support. Don’t give up! God loves you so much! So do I. The Lord bless you!!

Thank you for the lovely sentiment. God's love on you in Jesus name. You ask for the Lord to return twice...we do await the house the Lord has for us. But it does say in the scriptures the following....
      Jerimiah 17.16
As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee.
      Jerimiah 9.1
Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

What many people do not realize is, that samson is often depicted as a herculian figure. Like in my thumbnail. :) Truth is, there is nothing written about his appearance. Just his long hair is mentioned. And that when the holy spirit works in him, comes over him, he has superpowers. Basically everybody can be Samson if God grants the power. What i like most about Samson is, that he was a sinner. He was far from perfect. Still he believed in God. And God used him to deliver his chosen people. He also had a relationship with God, which people consider almost cocky or arrogant: Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the Lord, “You have given your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?” 19 Then God opened up the hollow place in Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his strength returned and he revived. So the spring was called En Hakkore,[c] and it is still there in Lehi.
So this tells me that God shuts one eye from time to time when he feels that a person deserves it despite beeing perfect. Amen

Samson is my favourite character from The Bible, yeh the only superhero from THE GOD himself i don't think there is any other character in The Bible who was born with supernatural powers,i still remember my grandmother used to tell his stories in my childhood *as my bedtime stories and i loved them, wished if i could have got such powers from GOD* though Samson had a tragic end and he went though a lot i just wish if he had followed the wisdom from GOD and been a little humble in his approach he would have been a great Leader, never the less he was blessed by GOD and even in his end times GOD was there with him forgave him and gave his power back to him as he had promised, *He will always be my superhero* May GOD bless us all and forgive our mistakes!!!!!! Amen
And thanks to this *channel for coming up with such topics,i again got the glimpse of my childhood* though I am not that old😇 keep on doing this lovely work.

No doubt Samson would have come up against some of the Nephilim & the Anakim Giants, the scriptures don't really tell us if he did or not but what we do know is that they the Anakim were definitely around before & after his death, when Moses entered the promise land with Joshua & Caleb then after when David slew Goliath

    • @misskim2058
      @misskim2058 Před 2 lety

Moses didn’t get to enter the promised land, because he smote the rock instead of speaking to it, also for he and Aaron taking credit for the bringing of water, and metaphorically striking Jesus, the rock. He got to see it from afar, but not enter with Joshua and Caleb. It would be interesting to know more about Samson and who he may have fought.

I think you might want to read it again. Samson was a judge not a leader . No where in the Bible does it say Samson was the leader. Israel did not deserve a leader at that point; they were full of sin and Samson's life served as a witness to the nature of the people of Israel at that time. If Samson ruled over Israel would they have came and arrested Samson for the philistines?

Be careful not to forgot that God wanted Samson to be Samson. There was a specific dynamic between the people of God and the Philistines that called for a man who was not so much of a gracious leader but still a pivotal part in God's Will to deliver the Israelites out of the hands of the Philistines. Samson's rash and lewd behavior was clearly not an example, that the Israelites might know obviously not to try to imitate him, nevertheless His trust in The Lord allowed him to make decisions which drew the Philistines near him so that he could kill many of them, which although was not a benefit to Samson as he died in the process, it was a huge benefit to God's people. It is important, when studying the Scriptures, to remember to identify the will of God as well, why God allows certain things to be, lest we be judgmental of our brothers and sisters who God loves and is using for a purpose as He is with us throughout our entire lives.
Judges 14:3-4 "But his father and mother said to him, “Is there not a woman among the daughters of your relatives, or among all our people, that you must go to take a wife from the uncircumcised Philistines?” But Samson said to his father, “Get her for me, for she is right in my eyes.”
His father and mother did not know that it was from the Lord, for he was seeking an opportunity against the Philistines. At that time the Philistines ruled over Israel.
Judges 16:30 "And Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines.” Then he bowed with all his strength, and the house fell upon the lords and upon all the people who were in it. So the dead whom he killed at his death were more than those whom he had killed during his life."

Thanks for this!!! I think what matters most is the heart "man looks at outward appearance, God looks at the heart" we all have a variety of callings and the Lord picked them specifically for us as individuals. Flaws and all. In this case Samson was put into a position where because of his mistakes he was able to destroy a lot of philistines. It doesn't say in the Bible but maybe we can infer that the philistines lost their total hold on Israel afterwards. Thoughts?

He was called to have an occasion with the philistine to the beginning of the deliverance, God did not tell him he was going to be a Moses or an Abraham. Am sorry but the purpose was misguided, the assumption that he was some teacher and trainer was a mistake, the definition of occasion is; properly, a falling, happening or coming to, an occurrence, casualty, incident, something distinct from the ordinary course or regular order of things.
Judges 14:3-4 His father and mother replied, Isn't there an acceptable woman among your relatives or among all our people? Must you go to the uncircumcised Philistines to get a wife? But Samson said to his father, get her for me . She's the right one for me. (4) His parents did not know that this was from the LORD, who was seeking an occasion to confront the Philistines, for at that time they were ruling over Israel.
Samson was not given the strength to walk around with, just like how god give many in the church different gifts and the ability to perform his good works. If God wanted him to teach he would have that ability to do so, but he was made strong to fight, and that what he did, his last battle was to kill all the foundation and main organization of the philistine, I will say, well-played Samson.

When god name someone that has something to do with his work that what his name means its a title of what his going to do. in this case Samson means power of god or the power of god like jesus mean savior what exactly he did. Same with all the other dispensasional prophets.

  • @KTChamberlain

I sum Samson in two words: cautionary tale. Seriously, out of all the Judges in the Book of Judges, he's the worst. Othniel, Ehud, and Deborah were the best, Gideon was okay, Jephtah was bad, but Samson was the worst, which makes sense, considering that Judges shows this downward spiral the Israelites experience before having a king. It's often said in Judges, "In those days, Israel had no king and everyone did what was right in their own eyes." It's supposed to show at least in part what happens when you stray from what God deems right and just.

He wants too but He can only do so through repentance and baptism, how can He promise us a clean peaceful joyful heaven with no badness no pain no sorrow and then turn around and let in people filled with such? come on, its not rocket science, God has been working on me for years and even i struggled and still do with my flesh and denying myself, but that is what we have to do, a lot of people read the nice bible verses stories of angels an fairies and saviours, but that's denial. God bless

Tell me why people should be concerned about things that happened what, 2000 years ago. I believe we have things here and now to worry about more. I wish you Bible thumpers would just keep thy religion to thy self like George Carlin said. What does King James version of the Bible mean? That a bunch of people wrote the Bible the way King James wanted it. Which means what? That has lttle to do with the truth of things.
