I think this Jay guy is the same guy from The Repair Shop show. He's seems to be a bit younger in this video.
Yes it is Jay Blades. But this episode came out April 6, 2017. While that was 7 years ago I really don't think he has aged that much.

Thoroughly disliked the chair - the lone bright pink leg was off- putting but I am glad someone disagreed with me
Yep. As soon as I saw the hot pink I said to myself "Oh Jay. What have you done?"

I know a lot of thought, a lot of work went into this dual effort but...sorry, I think it's just ugly and still looks like what it is - scrap metal.
How does Jay get his money back? He paid for the chair to be dine and gave all the profit back to the original owner
Profit is the income over and above costs.
So all Jay did was paint the legs?
Were you asleep? He completely recovered the chair in blue velvet, used a bright floral print for the back and underside as well as painted the legs - every inch of that chair was redone!
