I just bought Black Iris after testing both. The original is so powerful and in your face for a good couple of hours before it even thinks of calming down. It leaves it very little versatility, you have to have very specific times and situations for it. Black Iris still knocks your socks off but it catches you where as the original is still punching you as your going down. The iris rounding the edges off at the top, bringing you a smoother vanilla vibe in the middle much quicker.

I love that you tried to make the clip with the masks. Many people give up way too easily because they think they'll get looks about it or whatever. When I get a new bunch of samples I like to put a very light spray on my cloth mask before leaving home. Turns the hassle of wearing a mask into an interesting discovery experience.

Hey Carlos, love seeing you and Olya together again! I’m glad you both did a review of this new one because I was curious to find out the difference. I got a discovery set and I love the original it’s actually one of my favorites and it’s all gone. Although I want to try the new one I probably will buy the original from what you both are saying. My wife and I will be about an Hour and 45 minutes south of Brighton Beach on the Jersey shore in a few weeks I can’t wait! Anyway, thanks for another great review!

Great video. I love fragrances and haven’t found anything from this house that fits me yet. I would love to try this one. The original was too beast mode. This might be the one. Would love to win the 5 ml decant to see if thats the case. The best thing about this video is seeing you guys back together again.
TF oud minerals smells like a Boy Scout cabin. Anyone who has camped in log cabins built decades ago would know what I’m talking about. I love the scent and it takes me back to my good ole days in the BSA.

I've only briefly smelled the original Interlude Man and it wasnt my favorite but I do really enjoy Iris so I'd like to try Black Iris thanks for the always generous giveaway. I love amouage got 6 bottles so far interlude was my first from house and first neiche I dont know if I will like new one I HATE iris kinda now thanks the dior homme if it's not that powerful I will like it on sure .

I already have a decant of this, so don't enter me in the giveaway. Black Iris is a nice, smooth fragrance, but to my nose it lacks the depth and interesting facets of the original Interlude. The drydown is similar but Black Iris is not as smokey with the sweeter incense. Glad to see you're both doing well Carlos!
