Let me add⊠please do not let someone like a realtor run you through a property just so they can get an offer. Please remember to take your time and make sure you are getting home inspection from a certified inspector and go through inspection reports thoroughly.
Thanks for this and for sharing info about how long a house is meant to last. I was surprised to hear you cite one builder's intentions of only 50 years! Good to know so as not to waste money on really old houses.

Actually the siding was nailed without spacing to move and now it is buckling from no room to expand with temperature changes
