A reminder because lots of people seem to miss this: death isn't the end in this world. If the corpse is retrieved quickly enough, the dead can be resurrected none the worse for wear. A couple of our main cast have already talked about how they've died at least once before at this point.
Also, that sorbet *is* still made of crushed insects btw...
My guess is that the crown function like a beehive holding the larvae so by melting it Senshi created something akin to honey. Which is why Laios was eating it in between bread and it functioned as a base for the sorbet.
Now, donât get me wrong, I get where honey comes from and how is made and I love it but I donât know how Iâd feel if I see a bee larvae floating in my honey.

Shrimp and lobster taste nothing like crickets and are much more nutritious.
Also Lobsters and Shrimps are in Class: Malacostraca while crickets are in Class: Insecta.
Insects are insects, which shrimp and prawn are not.
they tastes like chicken, full of protein.
