My only thought *spoiler* is that rebirth may be talking about Cloud himself. Flashbacks, memories, is the "memory" correct, or are certain details not lining up. Also Waiting....with Aerith... but we'll see

What if Zack has to stop Cloud from unleashing Sephiroth?? Or does Zack start to break down due to being in SOLDIER? Do we actually get to fight Sapphire Weapon this time around? I have so many questions.
Considering how Cloud's headache/seizures seem to coincide with remembering events, it seems to me they're there to dissuade him from thinking too much about the past and not noticing that there are major gaps in his memories.
So if he just runs into Zack? I imagine he'll end up in the hospital in much worse condition than when he ended up in Mideel in OG.

Its not speculation at this point. There is a Cloud universe, and a Zack universe, and then Sephi is just jumping around time and space.

No. It is speculation. It hasnt been confirmed by the developers or in the story yet.
If anything, its more likely to exist in the same time line, history was rewritten when the party was inside the singularity and were exempt from the effects of the rewriting.
In the last trailer, we saw the bodies of the other party members dead except for Cloud because he was with Zack. So there are two Clouds in this world, which is gonna be wild and probably play into his paranoia and existential/identity crisis, he will freakout when he sees his other self and start to think he is a clone, which will also allow Sephiroth to manipulate him more.
Pretty sure they’re for sure in different worlds/timelines. The ending of Remake deliberately showed Zack (with Cloud) walking right past our Cloud and the party without anyone even noticing eachother. There’s a clear split and the two events are happening simultaneously. What the purpose or endgame for all this is, who knows?
@@pandaeyez If you believe that its still speculation at this point then you have never watched Maximillian Dood's FF7 videos. There are definitely instances where writings explain how this is Sephi from Advent Children who has gone back to split the worlds and how as long as Cloud is alive, he will always be alive. Cloud is essentially Sephiroths horcrux.

Aww yeah, my second most-anticipated reaction of the day
I'm SO hype for this, I'm SO glad they took this direction with the remake. I never knew I wanted remakes that are canonical sequels to their originals but this really feels like where it's going
LOVED your reaction, especially when you saw Zack. AWWWWW! When I first saw how beautiful everything looked for the new Rebirth announcement date trailer, which was at 1:00A.M. once I found out that it was released, I was speechless, but when Sephiroth showed up, I actually did cry, especially when they showed those two BEAUTIFUL close ups of his face, during that flashback boss fight and when he asks Cloud to trust him and toward the end. Sephiroth is just wonderful and I LOVE the character. He's truly Square Enix's legendary character for FFVII and they're doing such a BEAUTIFUL job on his character design for Rebirth. I think I kept watching the trailer over and over JUST to see my favorite silver-haired pretty bad boy! I've watched all of the trailers ever since Rebirth came out and I'm so HYPED to see the others! Can't wait when the new game drops in 2024!
I barely played ff7 og 3 years ago. I didnt think i could feel nostalgia for a game I played 3 years ago from the ps1 era but i did and am so so so happy for rebirth. I cannot wait and hope they have the twin pack of intergrade and rebirth physicslly since i love collecting

You can figure out that there are 2 timelines based on the last trailer. One timeline has Midgar destroyed from the tornados with everyone dead and no cloud to be seen. Zack is in Midgar and goes to aeriths church and she is gone. Cloud is probably working at Walmart. Then there is the main timeline which is OG ff7 with the cast. The reunion may hint at a timeline merge by the end of part 3. I’m guessing that the Zack timeline is like the Latina timeline from FF8 as a what if since the whispers are all dead because of Sephiroths manipulation.

I'm curious as to what Sephiroth has to gain from this. Binging in Zack would normally amount to just giving him another party member to fight. There has to be something Zack can provide for his scenario. I have to assume he can't just freely travel between worlds, else nothing would stop him from just hopping over to Zack's timeline and winning without having to deal with an entire JRPG party. Maybe that's what he's trying to do?
Maybe sephiroth doesn’t realize there are split timelines. He was just trying to get the whispers killed by cloud and party to stop interfering with his plans.

They don't explicitly say there are timelines. That's just the most popular interpretation.

I finally figured it out. Being a doctor who fan helped me piece together what is happening here. There are two realities that have collided together, in the sky you see what is called a skid in the fabric of reality, or a crack in space and time if you will. Doctor who describes it as "explosion led to several points in time and space touch when they shouldn't have been. " at the start of the trailer you can see the skid in time and space. When aerith walked past zack, they were only sensing one anothers presence when the "explosion" happened at the end of the sephiroth and cloud fight. This is so heavily doctor who its almost to amazing. The hooded man in the crowd is... The Doctor....further more, the edge of creation is all possible to exist in the skid as well as the time lords used the skid to break back into the prime dimension as they were able to fit their entire home planet inside of the skid.
You are overthinking it lol there are no other timelines or realities.
History was rewritten when the Arbiter of Fate/whispers was killed and Cloud and the gang were unaffected by the rewriting because they were inside the singularity when it happened, exempt from its affects. However this caused a backwards ripple through time causing some chaotic changes, such as Zack cheating death. Now there are two Clouds, but not two of the other party members because we saw in the last trailer, their dead bodies were discovered during the disaster. The stamp mascot design was changed to allude to history being rewritten, not that it is another dimension/timeline, but its easy to mistakingly interpret that.
@@pandaeyez while i see the point that is trying to be made the time frame doesn't add up because the video of the gang dead seemed to take place before zack and cloud made it to midgar, further more there isnt any actual evidence that the gang are in a rewritten timeline, all the changes we have seen has only been shown when they show zack. Not once is there anything shown to point to the group being in an altered existence. But there is a lot of evidence to show that there is another reality bleeding into the main

@@zacatkinson3926 And they been mentioning him in character descriptions as part of the core roster... I think a lot of fans are sleeping on his role for this game. But clearly they been quite vague what his role ultimately is.

FF7 been my favourite game since i was 7, 26 years ago 😅 words dont describe how hyped i am for this game! This trailer was perfect! Also "where worlds merge" shows beating the harbingers of fate was sephiroths plan all along.
And another thing that points to the two simultaneous timelines is the presence of Buster Sword on both Cloud and Zack's backs.
YEAAAAAH BABY!!! Square-Enix has still really put in the work for FF7 Rebirth and now we have a release date! We also saw Cait Sith and Vincent but still no Cid Highwind yet. Also I think that's definitely Zack's timeline where he's alive.

It's been said that Rebirth will go up to the events of The Forgotten Capital, which is interesting given the opening dialogue of this trailer as well as the composition of that poster seem to imply that Meteor will be summoned at some point in the game. Will Sephrioth be aiming for a head start?

I don't believe it's different timelines. The ultimania's effectively told us Sephiroth is 7 seconds from the end of the world, holding time at a stop (in remake's edge of creation, the pain Cloud feels is trying to move while in stop magic until Sephiroth frees him from it), and altering the planet's memories. When worlds collide is likely the altered memories of the planet and reality combining to become the new reality, one where OG is overwritten, and as Red said, Advent is "a glimpse into a future if we fail here today" and as Sephiroth said "Careful, Cloud, for that which lies ahead does not yet exist."
So you say theres no different timelines, but you actually said theres different timelines but they clashed? Duh. The reality is, you right basically, but theres timelines, but at the end the "reunion" is exactly what you talking about, everything seems to collide... but thats surelly where this game will end and we will need to wait till "reborn" or some weird R-time-fix word.
@@CasualLeague I said I didn't say there was different timelines. We have Sephiroth at the edge of creation "7 seconds from the end of the world." And we have Reality (OG) and there's the "Memories of the planet" aka what we played through in Remake.
When the world of reality (OG) and the world of Altered Memory (Remake) merge, we'll have a New Reality, a Rebirth in which the "future" which has already happened (the other 4 entries in the compilation) will be replaced with an unknown future.
One timeline, ALTERED by changing memories, thereby changing reality.
"Fate" isn't so much "What will happen" as much as "What already happened being undone." Or as it's been fittingly put, "Fate being remade" or "Remaking destiny."
I definitely was team bummed out after Remake as a og fan, but ngl, Rebirth looks incredible now with this new trailer, can't wait!
If you go on squares official page for the game it gives character files zack is confirmed alive on his description PRASIE. Edit the end of the trailer says the worlds have merged meaning zack has made it there since cloud defeated fate.

I'm just gonna speculate, but I think the Three hooded figures are the three new characters from the FF7 Ever Crisis game. One more fact I can confirm is they showed the lower half of one of them and it looks like Glenn, leader of P0 squad. Omg I am so excited to see how all the stories colide!

Zack isn’t alive. It’s a flashback to when he and Cloud escape Shinra and are on the run. Because if you look at Cloud’s armor it’s different than his current one. Also I know from a previous trailer that they don’t know what happened to Cloud over the last few years.
This is looking good. I literally squealed at the Vincent reveal (although I wish we could have seen his face😞) And Cloud on a segway and Sephi just foipping his hair in that combination attack was just...😂 (It's gonna be so memeable.🤣)

Alas that can't happen. Aerith's death is not only what saves the planet with Meteor, but also what helps sustain it as it recovers from the damage done to it by Shinra and Meteor. Unless by the 3rd game, they manage to find some way to split her being between the possible two timelines, which is a theory I've also had since we saw Zack at the end of Remake, I don't see how it's possible for him and Aerith to have a happily ever after.
Stop being negative! Anything's possible ya know and I believe Aerith really will live this time and her & Zack will finally see each other again somehow.

Well we know that Sephiroth knows what is going to happen so why would he even attempt to kill Aerith becuase that would just make it a repeat of the original. He is trying to conquere the world and thus has to do things differently than the first time around. One thing will be casting doubt inside Cloud as to who Cloud can trust etc..

The reason zack is alive is because the party defeats the Whisper Harbinger at the end of FF7 Remake, events in the past, present and future are altered.
Zack is alive just to sacrifice himself to save Aerith. : )

@@GamerGirls-cx8bs i heard from a leak that zak saves aerith but cloud dies leaving zak to take the mantle as the main character but im not sure how i feel about that and they havent been 100% correct with other stuff. But the fact theres an extra cloud roaming around and we see cloaked up on the way to reunion makes me think... Sephiroth said "reunion, where worlds merge" which is different and implies defeating the harbingers of fate was part of his plan all along, thus making sephiroth multiple steps ahead and at a huge advantage. I definitley think we have to expect the unexpected!!
