Air Jordan 4 Craft UNDFTD Custom

- From general release to a sample sneaker with just a couple of steps! When the Olive Craft Jordan 4's dropped it was the perfect canvas to recreate the Undefeated Air Jordan 4 Sample that goes for over $30K!
Vick picked these kicks up from the Undefeated shop down the street from our office right after they dropped and got straight to work. The first step of this customization process was to deconstruct the sneaker to make the canvas ready for the overall design. Once the tongue was removed it was time to construct yet another sneaker.. The donor sneaker from our friend @Flippinkickz !
The Olive Green Crafts and the other Craft sneakers feature an indented netting rather than the classic Jordan 4 netting. Therefore we needed to take some netting from our donor pair and prep them for the next steps. The first step was to dye the white netting to match the overall vibe, but it wasn't an easy process. In fact it was just one of the obstacles that Vick overcame to create this custom! It took 2 dye trips to get to the color that we are looking for.
Let's just say Vick's experience with dying materials didn't go as planned for this custom. The colors came out looking a little funky and ultimately costed Vick a couple days to create this.
Once the prepwork, details and deconstruction were completed it was time to put the sneaker together. Overall this sneaker came out exactly how they should be! If you picked up the Olive Green Craft Jordan 4s... It might be time to flex on the others and customize them!

Vic, reason why the air Jordan tag is upside down on the tongue is that back in the day people would wear the 4’s with them flipped down so air Jordan would read normal, that’s why the union’s have their tongues flipped down and stitched.
Being an old head back when the 4s originally dropped I stamp this post actual factual….
Spike Lee was famous for it, you tie the laces around the flipped down tongue and it said "AIR JORDAN"
but why was it upside down in the first place
Old head right here actually wore his 4s like dat in dat in da early 90s Moms copped dem red black and white ones fo me and I was mad cuz I wanted some Reebok pumps😂. Somewhere in my parents basement is a 30 yo pair of size 5 4s I wore in grade school cuz I only wore em twice 😂.
Only Vick can do something like this with all these OG parts just laying around.

I like how its raw footage, Vick is showing his errors and keeping it real, he had problems getting the color he wanted for the netting but admitted he messed up and had to work with what he had and improvise to keep the project moving, goes to show that even the biggest sneaker artist can make mistakes and are still just as awesome.
It's amazing how just the netting alone would turn these into an instant must cop for me.

7:56 Back in the 80's people used to rock their jeans with their tongues hanging out face-down .Nike made it a style to produce the inside tongue tag upside down so it would show AIR JORDAN right-side up when tongues hang out.

Bro, i have pro tip for dying fabric...
Always soak the fabric before dying, and add some white vinegar to the water with pigment.

They would say back in the day Jordan would stick his tongue out when he would dunk on people or play hard in general so when you flip the tongue down it signifies that , and also displays his name that’s why it’s upside down on the back of the tongue

That's a pretty impressive result. It's almost impossible to remake shoes like this and actually have them look half decent. Well done bro you do this really well. Personally I would have put a bit of shape in the tongue. But if your goal is to copy and not change hey sure why not. Very nice work :) yeah I think of just making shoes from scratch? The “air Jordan” inside the tongue is upside down because in the 80s-90s it was common for people to flip the tongue down when wearing, (sort of like the Union 4s) then when flipped the tongue downwards you could read air Jordan correctly.

Vick I used the extra orange laces that came with those AF1s multicolor Nike x Undefeated collab released last year, as they also have a black metal undft tag. I love details 💯 They are 🔥 Big up from Italy, I love your works since day 1 🫶🏾

Awesome job Vick! I'd love to see you restore more OG's like the 4's, 5's or 6's. Or if you cannot get your hands on those. What if you restored older retros and custom make them like the Originals. For example, the Jordan 5's fire red's or metallics from 1999 - 2000. I also have some older 1999 Jordan 4s.

7:55 the AIR JORDAN logo is flipped on all jordan 4s because back in the day in the 80s-90s era, people would flip their tongue down and where the air jordan logo was no right side up. The air jordan 4 union collabs all have their tongue sewed down to pay homage to one of the designers who wears his 4s with the tongue folded down like back in the day.

some of these you do end up being way better than the original ones but you know makes it like the unoriginal version since it's a custom. This one makes it somehow makes it much better with the orange and the black I was saying that like a black lace swap wasn't enough but now it's like more done to it makes me really want it like if I wanted to buy this particular 1 or I could get the actual shoe and send it to you and you could do this same thing you know Viber want to sell these or if there's already a process how would we get into that. Its cool.

The reason the logo is upside down on the tongue is bc 30 years ago people would wear the shoe with the tongue flipped down so air Jordan did it so people would be able to read the brand right side up and ever since those times Jordan brand has always done it even though nobody wears their AJ4 that way as a nod to the early days.

The tongue tag is upside down because back in the day, you rolled the top of the tongue, and then the tag would say air jordan the correct way.

No netting is the best part
Can you turn waxed suede into smooth clean standard suede? I love the midnight navy 5s that just dropped but the waxed suede is throwing me off. It's clearly a craft shoe but they seemed to forget to add craft to the description. Maybe change up the suede to smooth and the canvas to tumbled leather? Idk... just tossing out ideas.
