It’s so wonderful that everyone uploads a old Nick commercials making me feel very, very, very nostalgic and this is how I fully got around watching every Nickelodeon but only for classics!
This would’ve been better for Nickelodeon if they agreed to end the spongebob series with the movie just like Stephen hillenburg wanted, so that way Nickelodeon would allow reruns for the series and have hillenburg work on other projects.
If SpongeBob ended after the movie, then I guess it would’ve continued to reair on Nickelodeon for a few years until it would stop airing regularly by the late 2000’s. I’m guessing Nicktoons would reair the series until September 2011, when all 90’s cartoons such as Rugrats and Ren & Stimpy would end reruns on that channel. It probably would’ve reaired on NickRewind if it ended that way and SpongeBob would rarely reair occasionally on Nickelodeon.

yeah 😭 i remember when nickelodeon used to air the end credits, now they don't anymore.. it's a real big shame, especially as kids nowadays who've never seen the movie before but are only watching it on tv won't be able to experience listening to ocean man 💔 well there's always streaming services nowadays, but still sucks for those who still watch tv.
