I am one of many, many older BTS fans. Will be 65 in April. The reason I love BTS is that they write deep lyrics and touch on subjects that resonate without respect to demographics. They sing, dance, rap beautifully, but it is what they are inside that has captured my undying love and appreciation!

It really doesn’t matter what genre is your favorite. We all have preferences to specific genre…. but if you truly love and appreciate good music….BTS gives you all of that. They are the only group in the last 20 years or ever to give you everything that music needs. Name another group in the past 20-30 years that can rap, sing, dance, and provide you lyrics that are meaningful? Go ahead….i will wait. And this is coming from a 48 y/o male, husband, and father of two. Was raised in the LBC. So i know rap, R&B, Latin pop, Alternative rock, country, and ballads. I like all of them. But BTS….they are different….once in a lifetime different. 💜 lt’s not just my opinion but… fact and proven.

BTS's rap line doesn't rap about women at all or some other rap songs that we know. They rap about the people who didn't believe that they could make it to the top and who made them feel bad in so many ways. But look at how big they are now. 🥰🥰🥰Their success is bittersweet. 🙏🙏🙏

I love your daughter! 😍😍😍I thank her for recommending BTS's song. I'm excited for you to explore BTS's music. One thing I love about them is that they don't stick to just one genre of music. You will be surprised by how diverse their music is. Their music inspires people to love themselves more. They don't just make music. They inspire people. They saved so many lives through their music, especially during the pandemic. I have so much to say about them. 😂 I can't wait for the time you react to the rap line of the group, SUGA, J-HOPE, and RM (Rap Monster) the leader of the group. He's a genius and has a 148 IQ. He learned the English language just by watching FRIENDS. They don't just rap about women or the typical rap songs that we know. Their rap style is way different from what we're used to. They have a lot of songs as a group and solo songs, all of the 7 members. They started as a hip-hop group in 2013, but they changed over time to be more relatable. They have come a long way now. One thing I admire the most is how they remain kind and humble despite their fame. They were not treated right when they were starting. Their performances were cut since they're from a small company, they were mocked and ridiculed. They had death threats. So much story to tell. Their story is very inspiring. 🥰🥰🥰I hope you enjoy and appreciate BTS's music. I'm an ARMY (BTS's fandom). I love SB19. My love and support for them will always be there especially since I'm Filipino, but BTS is my super-duper love. 🥰🥰🥰

If you want straight rap, maybe some solos from the rapper who stood out to you here.
His BTS stage name is Suga, his solo name is Agust D.
I HIGHLY recommend the Daechwita trilogy:
    - Daechwita
    - Haegeum
    - Amygdala (it is sonically a different sound, but it ties the journey together)
I should add though, if you want faster harder rap from the other two:
    - RM's solo called Joke. It was a clapback at haters and is SOOOO full of Korean wordplay it literally takes three read throughs and an explanation video to fully understand the double-entendres and burns that he shoves into it.
    - j-hope's solo song called Arson. It's about never intending to light the fire that blew BTS up worldwide, but now what do they do?

Thanks for giving our guys a chance! But, let me tell you one thing: BTS is not pop, not even K-pop anymore. If you watched Black Swan and Fake Love, of course you noticed is not silly music. Good production, meaningful lyrics, diversification! I'm a 66yo Army. I fell into this awesome rabbit hole almost four years ago. I've been listening to them every single day, and I can assure you that you won't find even a single boring song. Of course, some can't be your cup of tea, but you won't be able to say it's a bad song.
I grew up listening to good music, from pop to heavy metal, from folklore to classics. I was frustrated with the bad quality of the modern "artists". Boring songs, with little or no lyrics... sometimes, good rhythms, but indecent lyrics, too low-level for my musical taste. Thank God, during the pandemic I met BTS. From the beginning, I compared them to seven MJ, because they all are excellent and complete artists, excellent dancers, rappers, singers, songwriters, and producers. They don't get stuck into pre-defined structures, genres, or styles. Maybe the fact of having seven different musical tastes results in diversity and the fusion of different genres into a song.

  • @cjayj442
    @cjayj442 Před 4 měsíci +8

Honest, but respectful, never fails. BTS has so many genres (over 300 songs) that you can't like them all. If you do Cyphers from the rapline (RM, Suga and JHope), you'll need the lyrics of course. There's a channel that does stage remixes of all the BTS songs so you can see them live but she also provides English subtitles. "EnjoyBTSMore" is the name of the channel. A lot of what they say in the rapline songs are disses, but it's mixed with Korean sayings & lore that does get a little lost in translation, but it's okay. The vibe of the songs come through.
Rapline individual songs you may like is
RM- Joke (he's making fun of other Korean rappers, especially the ones that look down on them, rap capabilities/skills)
Agust-D- Daechwita (calling the Korean rappers from their underground days POS for making fun of him for being a Kpop idol)
JHope-Arson (questioning about how now that they've made it to the top, should he stop)

Thanks for your reaction. Your daughter has great taste! The lyrics are a part of the package that makes BTS songs so great so I hope you read them for a better understanding of the message and emotions a song is conveying. I know they're not 100% accurate, but they do pretty good. BTS is blessed with some of the best producers so I'm glad you are enjoying that aspect of the MVs. Look forward to your next BTS reaction! 💜 (I hope it's Blood, Sweat and Tears.)

rappers in bts are actual hiphop, they are actually very qualified, they have been fans of the genre since they were teenagers and know their stuff, it's just most group songs do not leave a lot of room for the rap to shine, song has to have it's flow and vocalists need to be included, but all rappers have their own solo albums and mixtapes too, rm: rm, mono and indigo
    suga: agust d, d-2 and d-day
j-hope: hope world and jack in the box, hope on the street is coming out next month
and in addition they have countless collabs and other solo songs, adaptations and covers, suga even produces for other artists

If you decide to do a reaction and upload anytime soon, maybe do one of bts member Suga aka Agust d since his birthday is tomorrow and Army would appreciate it! I know you do honest reactions and I think maybe you'd like Haegeum. The song has CC but doesn't translate the word Haegeum so if you do decide to react to this song the word describes a traditional Korean instrument (which can be heard in the instrumentals of the track), but it can also mean the lifting of a ban/prohibition. Anyway, just 1 suggestion of many. Thanks for reacting to this song!

Why care about the ' algorithm'? You in it for the money? If not.....simply let your channel grow organically. Am a 56 yr old 'West Indian Army Mom' who discovered BTS in 2016. Enjoyed your critique. From the second you closed your eyes and listened sorely to their Music/Rap. Caught my eye. 'Cos to be honest? ALL of their vids are filled with so much symbolism/meaning? I learnt the hard way - 7 plus yrs ago. Listened to the version with pure singing/translated lyrics. #Zerodistraction. Moved on to Music vid....could then focus on their dance. Last step - either their dance rehersal or live performance.
Other wise? as a 'Boy Band' (although they're obviously much more than that) I grew up with the Jackson Fives. Then moved into the 80"s/90's with BoysIIMen. Insync. NKOTB. Menudo....etc...culminating in the Disastrous " - what were their names? New 'something'...is how much Me on my tiny Island n the World cared.
I was literally forced to listen to BTS - that nite in 2016. F**kers ad kept breaking into my YT vid with - 'Fake Love'. Gave in. Listened. End of Story. If you into Rap? May not be the band for you.
Otherwise....(despite being on Meds - yea right 🤣) caught my interest. Subed n liked. Only if you continue to cover BTS, as 'Army' will follow suit. If not? Bye.......n best of luck *hugs*

But there is no money to be made reacting to musicians signed to record labels lol I promise. If the channels cover 3rd party content like interviews of BTS or videos without music then perhaps. But 99% of the videos on my channel are not able to be monetized. I could possibly dispute their reason for claiming my content as their own but why would I? Post Malone vibes? What do I know I could be wrong and mixed up someone else's song.

Dude, you sound so entitled try to relax…
Most the time you’re staring at the ceiling, (what’s up there) multitasking low-key ..
Or even when you’re Talking about your daughter. There’s nothing wrong with you being honest & disliking or liking stuff…
Everyone does this… we think it’s the way you do it . don’t know. … don’t wanna be rude but… this holier than thou attitude , probably rubs people the wrong way. Anyways, we here in South Korea staff , can’t.
We out.. good luck to you Mate.

Thanks for sincere BTS reactions! My daughter is 9 yrs old and she loves BTS too, esp. Jimin. Our favorite song is "Mic Drop", Steve Aoki Remix. They rap here too, so cheers to the haters! If you like Suga, then check him out as AgustD with the song "Daechwita" or "AgustD". For RM, "Joke". J-Hope can be intense too with "Arson" or "More". If you want to hear only the rap line of BTS, check out the "Cyphers" Part 1 to 4, they come only with lyric MVs though. Have fun on your BTS discovery.
