Once lockdown restrictions got over in Karnataka in July 2021, we headed on to Jog falls in Monsoon, an itinerary in our bucket list since 2019.
The green Western Ghats & milky white Jog falls are everything you need to see after a lockdown. Monsoon brings the best of the Ghats. We had an amazing time and stay in KSTDC Mayura from where you can see the falls at any time of the day and listen to it gushing down in the quiet forest nights.
To book the hotel, you can visit any apps or websites like ClearTrip or MMT or you can directly book from there. Although due to high tourists, the rooms might not be available immediately.

Hello Suresh, Namastey. Thank you for your comment. We're happy you found this video informative. Jog falls is still called as Gerusoppa or Gerusoppe Falls but it's popular name amongst tourists is Jog Falls. The name is not changed. Yes, the dam in video is Gerusoppa Dam only.

Awesome video, thanks for the details. When exactly was your visit. We are going to jog falls coming weekend and excited to know the water levels! What are the other near by places that you had visited. If you have the number of local taxi person, can you please share?
Thank you. 🙏 We visited around 12th July, it's gorgeous over there 😍. Nearby one day places - you can take packages from local cab or auto. You can meet many of them standing at Jog falls gate. Depending upon no of viewpoints, prices are 500, 800, 1000 and 1500. We took 1k package included Raja seat, Talakalale dam & reservoir, Walking Island, Hanging bridge Gerusoppa and Gerusoppa dam. We also visited Murdeshwara, cab for Rs 3k. Takes 3-4 hours. Two beautiful places we missed in this trip due to less days - Bheemeshwara falls & Honnemaradu. You can try to cover.

No. Only thing they're not giving towels, drinking water in room and food service in rooms.
