You ain't gonna see one at a truck stop, it has all anyone would need on board so all a truck stop can offer it's driver is fuel.
Drive in, fuel up and fuck off to a nice quiet spot elsewhere for the night.

@@ric66fb I agree with you wouldn't need truck stops with this setup but shit now a days its hard to park just anywhere. Cops in alot of states, especially east coast, make you move off shoulders, exit ramps, etc, and private lots hard to get into IF they let you stay there.

I drove with a sleeper big enough to sleep two.
      Buffalo NY to Brownsville TEXAS.
Boarder to boarder..there and back in 6-7 days....
Absolutely drove me fucken crazy in my third month.
      But it was so simple..
Drop a trailer in a yard, pick up one in a yard..
There were 5 yards full of trailers to be moved, at each end..😳
I gave it up.. I wish I kept up with it.. now it’s bitch to get started up again at my age.
It’s a very boring, very quiet life where watch road rush under your truck seems to be so slow you could run faster blows your mind.
If you drive an 80.000 pound truck 90 mph mostly... no ifs about it.. you will smash people to death in that machine.

  • @jefft8138
    @jefft8138 Před 5 lety +1

RV haulers have a substantial user base, especially in motorsports and equestrian segments where sponsor dollars or wealthy benefactors purchase class 8 heavy duty trucks outfitted with RV quarters to haul the objects of their sport from place to place during a season. If you think this something, you should see some of the trailers. By no means are these trucks considered to be cost per mile effective in the competitive "for hire" carrier segment, although with the ELD now mandatory, the expensive emissions systems, and a driver shortage, expect to see more studio and RV style rigs that can sustain a family unit team in comfort for the 20 hours a day it can operate. Just the kitchen and bath amenities will save hundreds a month in truck stop hostage prices and lenders will write a mortgage structured note like any other RV or houseboat that has bath and kitchen features. The payment on this could be far LESS than a typical new sleeper.

    • @guardrail2897

The slide will get ripped right off the truck at the first truck stop. Good luck!

Most truck stops I have seen the trucks are parked so close together you not might be able to "expand" more times than not. E log books put an end to driving longer than legally allowed so more and more are parked overnight now.. Worth the extra cost? Not sure.

I'm not a trucker but my question is would this help truckers be more healthy by being able to bring and cook there own foods on the road ??

      Most definately !
I don't have a super sleeper but I still cook my own food.
Just use truck stops to shower.

gorgeous but prefer a slim slide door in bathroom & a pull out table for passenger side out of dash to do the paper work or what ever. make sandwich ect. as driving so not standing. yet to see a a mini washer in one, get that and be perfect. great space for the instant pot and air fryer.

Tractor Motorhome. I love it! Does it still allow for a 53’ Trailer?

These are often used for long haul moving, racing or TV crews. I know for fact the Monday night game crew have a couple of those.
You just don't see a lot of these in freight hauling. That can by itself is already around 30 to 35 feet long. If you add 53' to it, you're not gonna be able to make a delivery in New York City.
