You are so talented Vaughn. This brings me back to 15 years old the year 1986. I would go to sleep listening to DM. My window open in my upstairs room. The distant sound of a train’s horn. Dreaming of my first love. The girl I took to the Rose Bowl in 1988. The very sound of stripped would bring her to tears. Her green eyes indelibly in my heart. And now, in 2024 I wonder where the time went. I was blessed enough to see Dm in December in Los Angeles. Thank you for all the work you put into your channel.
Ahhh Bless you my dear friend ! You are very welcome and thank you of your kind words and for sharing your great memories !! Lots of love!! VG :-)
I happen to think it’s one of THE most underrated songs Martin Gore has written. Lovely interpretation
I was listening today to the full A BROKEN FRAME album. PURE MASTERPIECE
One of my favorite DM albums!
I prefer "A Broken Frame" instead of "Exciter" ....
31 years ago, I fell in love with A broken frame. Masterpiece indeed
A broken frame has not only the best album cover, it ends with this wonderful song. Great interpretation Vaughn.
Glad you enjoyed it!! Thank you!! VG :-)
"A Broken Frame" is one of the best album covers ever made. I agree. That photograph is glorious and Brian was a genius.
@@djzn it has a touch of "socialist realism" (соцреализм) that was popular in USSR.
I love “A Broken Frame” best of all DMs albums. The cover, the songs. It’s the one I like best, it retains my interest..❤️🌞🌧
Got it in 82 or 3, all those years ago, and it’s still in my top ten.
Makes you appreciate just how much he's done over 40 years. But it's impossible to maintain that quality and uniqueness..... Let's hope he can pull something similar out of the bag on the next album.
This is the very first dM song I have ever heard 18 years ago on a tape casette. It has changed my life ever since.
Beautiful! Such an underrated and under appreciated DM song.
I feel the honest love you have for depeche mode, I share your passion. Don't know about you but I'm very much stuck in a time, very difficult to find anything to replace these bands, because everything now seems paper thin in comparison..... Alan Wilder 👍
One of my top 10 favorite DM songs. Purely beautiful. Thanks!
I started singing this unconsciously loud as you played it .
It’s a wonderful song , and as always with DM they just don’t bother with some of the very early album tracks , unlike say the cure etc , I remember someone asking them at a press conference would they play it again live . The look of them summed it up sadly …
Thank you so much!
It is my favourite song from the Broken Frame..🤗
I've always loved this song. Your interpretation was beautiful Vaughn. 👍
I'm a 48 year-old piano student and devoted DM fan. This is very inspirational. Thank you. You've got a new subscriber.
Hello AngelC and welcome on board!! VG :-)
I said this in the "A Broken Frame" album review...this is the most beautiful sad song I ever heard...I want this version played during my funeral. I'll send my family the link. Thanks Vaughn, this video along with your version of Here is the House is among the best things I've heard lately. Thanks again.
I feel like I should stand up and salute! One of my favorite songs and played SO wonderfully well!... Thanks Vaughn for the lovely interpretation. 😊
Thank you so much !! VG :-)
Beautiful version of a song I’m re discovering after 30 years! Have you seen / heard the fantastic cover of this song by Duo Rikka & Tomi ? Brings the song up to date and Rikka has a tone to her voice that suits the DM songs just right.
Simply beautiful. One of my early times DM song. Great interpretation that encances the beauty hiden in the original track. That show's what a genius MG is and you are getting closer and closer ;)
Great playing Vaughn, inspired. This was my late Mum's favourite Depeche song, probably because I was playing it all the time, it has a haunting melancholy quality.
Thank you brother !! VG :-)
@@VaughnGeorge everyone is waiting ,when will you get alan wilder interview.do have any person who can contact him.thkx
I loved A Broken Frame so, so much in high school and recently tried to explain the "Gore-ism" un-ease move to my mom, even at 75 yo, and she seems ro see the concept. Am excited to give her some examples to listen to. She does love Dave's voice. :) Thanks for your keyboard interpretation - always love them.
It really is amazing that Martin wrote this when he was in his early twenties. It really is an outstanding song.
For sure !! VG 😎👍🎹
Please more of this
TWO WORDS, BEAUTIFUL ,BEAUTIFUL ! YOU ARE A GREAT ONE ON THE KEYS MY FRIEND ! ❤❤❤❤
This is so wonderful!!!!
You make me tear up everytime
So lovely, your instrumental really let's the wonderful harmonies shine. I appreciate this song much more now than when I was a teenager. Just listened to it last week for the first time in years while pointing out to my wife: Probably my favorite song from the album. Thanks!!!
You're welcome !! VG :-)
Beautiful improvisation. Always loved this song.
Such a beautiful interpretation of this song.
Thank you !! VG
What a beautiful rendition I quite like it!
Thanks for keeping alive this beautiful song!
Wonderful 🖤
Thank you!!
I can hear it in a loop all day
Wonderful
I'm here wondering why somebody has the audacity to dislike such a great performance. WHY????????
Hahahahaha bless you !! Perhaps they were a Niki Minaj fan ?? VG :-)
@@VaughnGeorge Hahaha.... Or Maybe he/she didn't like your rings. We'll never know.
Some people only happy when they hate. Sad. Well done vaughn
@@mhoppy6639 yes and we don’t concern ourselves with them . VG 🎹👍😎
Thank you very much! Fantastic cover, with very passionate performance. Bravo!!!!!
You are welcome Alex !! Thank you !! VG 🎹😎👍
Wonderful Vaughn! 😊 Love it!
Beautiful interpretation , thank you , VG !
Masterpiece❤️
Beautiful cover/interpretation! Played it after the original while writing my script, the energy and love you put into this definitely transferred over!
Thank you sir!! VG :-)
IT‘S SOOO BEAUTIFUL
Beautiful cover, nicely done 👏
Great early song by DM. Very well played. Goos bones.
Thank you!! VG :-)
Goosebumps😪❤️. Beautiful interpretation VG👏. One of DMs best, and I hope they would play it live someday🙏
Hats off!!!! So relaxing to listen to a piano version 👏👏👏 I wish I could play music.
That is a wonderful song. You should be inducted as an honorary member.
I am really amazed Vaughn at your interpretation and ability. I don't know if you have already done so, but it would be wonderful to hear a series of your piano versions. Top stuff my friend 👍
One of my favorite songs. Love your interpretation Vaughn. Thank you so much.
Cheers Harry!! VG
Beautifully played piece of wonderful music by D.M thanks a million mate.
You're welcome Sir Brian!! VG :-)
Brother, you took this piece (my favorite DM song!) to another exquisite level! Incredible!
Wow, thanks! VG :-)
If I had been allowed to choose, this song would have been the last song at every Depeche Mode concert.
I love how depeche mode songs on piano often sound like Ludovico Einaudi pieces, especially the melodic ones because they both share the beautiful melancholic vibe.
That opening 50-second intro was wonderful.
I was expecting to hear the first verse instrumental at the beginning of this performance
so was very pleasantly delighted to be surprised with what I heard. Great stuff!
Thank you !! VG :-)
Beautiful , thank you....
Amazing version. Well done. ❤
Thank you. It's beautilful. I expect the next episode you would show the difference how Peter would play that against how Alen would. That's why this is a great channel. Greetings from Poland.
Thank you Bart!! VG :-)
So beautiful, thanks.
Again Vaughan you’ve smashed it , love it, when’s the album out, I’d buy it 👍
Beautiful song.. So underestimated!
I listened to your musical version of this amazing track and heard M.L.Gore singing in parallel in my head.It would be cool to bring it all together at one concert.))...
Vaughn, I so wish I could be in a nice cafe, sipping a lovely wine and enjoying your interpretations of these songs as well as your own compositions! I mean that in the most sincere way... there's hardly anything more enjoyable than good music, good wine, and a nice day/evening out.
Many thanks TS!! You do paint a very idealistic picture !! VG :-)
@@VaughnGeorge You're welcome! :) Thanks for sharing this with us!
Top class track......in top 5 tracks of Depeche for me.......so much emotion give to listeners....
Another thumbs up and able to see what my goal is. Thank you brother!
Cheers Lee!! Go for it bro!! VG :-)
Chills! So beautiful! One of my favorite DM songs!
One of favourite DM tracks
This track is certainly a fan favourite!! VG :-)
Nice 1 Vaughn!
I rate this song as the perfect closing track to a DM album alongside New Dress (Black Celebration), Clean (Violator) and Higher Love (Songs of Faith and Devotion). The Marcheux version is also very good!!!
@Damien Abbott: The Marsheaux interpretations of 'A Broken Frame' are brilliant; not only in the music itself, but their approach to extending all ten tracks - something that must have used up a lot of creative energy and time.
@@EmpressTouch Absolutely. In some ways, it was like a whole new album for the 21st century.
Could listen to you all day long...!!!!
Thank you!! VG :-)
Perfection Vaughn!
Very beautiful rendition.
Superb rendition Vaughn. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon cheers
Cheers Matt!! VG :-)
Nice! In my top 5 DM tunes. Jeez I wish I could play like you!
Bless you ! Thank you ! VG :-)
I enjoyed that, Sir. Thank you for doing this for us. -Andy Ry Denmark.
Absolutely amazing! I very much enjoy this, as well as the previous instrumental renditions of DM songs! Hope you already have in mind other DM songs for next piano interpretations!!!!👍👍👍🎹
Thank you !! VG
Wonderful!! have you ever heard something from Marsheaux? It is a ladies Greek duo, making synth music, several covers, and they made the cover of the entire album "A Broken Frame", i like their version of The Sun and the Rainfall... well.. with such a great melody... :)
Beautiful
Splendid !
i loove your new direction of making and uploading piano covers, ...that's fantastic, ...i really see you now from a different view, i never saw the "musician" vaugh george ☺️☺️👍👍👌👌🎶🎶✨✨
Thank you for your kind words and I am glad you enjoy these piano interpretation videos !! Lots more to come !! VG :-)
Beautiful Vaughn!!!! Perfect intro to a cool series or in a Movie!! Nice!! =)

@@VaughnGeorge you got it. I’m with you to end. :)
It's lovely! And perfect for a Sunday :)
Forgot the F in rainfall Vaughn! 🤗 Love love love the video
Ok thanks!! I am surprised nobody else noticed that and thank you Anna!! VG :-)
Awesome
very nice. i love broken frame. one of their most maligned albums but it's so good. so dark without being industrial. so classic daniel miller. it's the singles of see you and meaning of love (and a photograph of you) that don't fit the album. i wish someone (daniel?) had stepped in and said "you aren't a teeny bopper band anymore, let's make those songs actually fit your new sound with fitting production", because they are actually decent songs (not sure photograph could have been saved, but meaning of love is really good songwriting (see you makes me cringe, even with that awesome bassline)). the rest of the album is just awesome. the sun and rainfall is gold. so haunting. one of the greatest mysteries with resect to DM, broken frame in particular, is who the hell played the solo on leave in silence. I was always convinced that alan actually did it without credit by that apparently isn't so. my understanding now is that it was literally random generated. that is frickin' awesome.
The solo of leave in silence was created by pre recorded parts in one particular synth?
I have heard that the guitar intro of never let me down again and beautiful moto bassline for stripped is from synth library
@@faridahmady7988 per dave bascome:
"In a 4 July 2019 interview with Super Deluxe Edition, Music For The Masses co-producer Dave Bascombe recalled the recording process for the guitar riff:
[...] I remember Martin had his guitar, and it’s used quite a bit... the beginning of "Never Let Me Down [Again]" for example... What a wonderful, happy accident that was. It was supposed to start with the snare drum and then go straight in, but because of the nature of technology at the time, the guitar [riff] was played, then we sampled it into the Synclavier and it just kicked off as soon as it got code at the beginning of the track and we all went ‘Wow, that's great’, so that was an accident."
OMG.....wonderfuL
Great Interpretation!! Genius👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you Kindly!! VG
Felt a bit untethered with the whole Gazza Numan material...then Vaughan blows it out of the park and reminds us why we love him....and always will....by the way Vaughan the Irish man in Saudi Arabia label has now been updated to Irish man in Toronto....so if you ever need a place to crash....
Bless you Niall !! Good to hear from you my friend!! VG :-)
Perfect!
I agree, this is a very special song. Nice version m8!
Also the Emax is soooo early 90s design.
Bravo
Bravo
Bravooooooooooooooooooo
I feel that this song could've only been inspired from a when they lived in England or Germany
This song kind of reminds me of "Computer Love" by Kraftwerk in tone and melody. That main synth riff is very Computer Love esque.
"Things must change
We must rearrange them
Or we'll have to estrange them"
ottimo
Mozart would have been proud. ♥️

When I read the title that you cannot read music sheet, I felt brainless. How is this even possible? Only semi-gods can reach this level.
"Semi-God". I am flattered. Just love what I do. Thank you for being here :-) VG
@@VaughnGeorge Thanks for your reply, VG. Fletch used to say that this song got "lost", but to me, it is the best Martin Gore song ever. I freak out, as well as many other fans like me do. One of the best Gore songs. Concerning the remixes, my preferred mix is the "The Sun & The Rainfall (Black Light Odyssey's Further Excerpts)" -- Your piano interpretation drives that tiger inside of us -- I went back to one of your videos teaching your method. I know the chords and circle of fifths, and such things... but I definitely feel I will need to try your way. :-)
a broken frame has always been one of the best album.. all my dm friend say the same therefor its wierd that MG says that its bad and he also say that DM is making better and better albums..also the shity last 5 albums.. and he is not proud of the first ones..a broken frame is simple intrvorted melakolic from the soul songs..DM is afread to make simple electronic song that we all like.. all song today has to be so fucking overproduced because deep inside they are afread that they are not be good enough.. therefor the overproducing
I prefer "A Broken Frame" instead of "Exciter" ....
