The apostle Paul said at 1 Corinthians 14:9 "In the same way, unless you with the tongue use speech that is easily understood, how will anyone know what is being said? You will, in fact, be speaking into the air.”. So you must bother to know what you are saying, so that yourself and others around you can learn and understand. Tongues, as used in the bible, just refers to different languages, Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic, and today, German, English, and all other languages, it does not mean, some spiritual language no one understands. This is made clear at the Festival of Pentecost (Acts 2:4) " and they all became filled with holy spirit and started to speak in different languages, just as the spirit enabled them to speak." and verse 7 "Indeed, they were utterly amazed and said: “See here, all these who are speaking are Gal·i·leʹans, are they not? 8 How is it, then, that each one of us is hearing his own native language?" this was done to take the good news of the kingdom to all the nations, just as it is today. Do less speaking, and more reading and deeply thinking about the scriptures, pray for insight to the true God Jehovah, through his son Jesus.
