Purssian mostly size, but age is also a factor, it doesn’t have super modern safety features. But it is definitely a cool car and one I still want for sure.

A Mini Cooper countryman 2011 is my high school car. I love it and I would love to make it beefy and raise so its like an off-road beast.
So the challenge was to buy a high school car, or a first car if you will, but Jack also said a few times that it should be an enthusiasts car. I think pound for pound that the Mazda MX-5/Miata/Eunos really does meet that criteria perfectly. It's cheap, you can pick one up here in the UK for around £1500 in relatively good condition, it's rear wheel drive, if you rev the absolute nuts off of them you can get them to slide stock, and they're cheap to repair when those slides inevitably break something.

My first car might be a Porsche 944. They can be cheap to get into (like less than $2,000 CAD) but they are old and will require a lot of work. Not a great choice for many people though.
