The 70ies called .... No seriously, my parents had this mower when i was a child. I remember the distinctive cutting sound. It was noisy. Used lots of oil to keep it going over the years. The garden was small so it was no effort. My goal was to overrotate it (being a very young kid back then). Great memories. I bought a newer model now to run after our robot mower who skips a lot of corners. My recent one is much more silent but no Steel container to catch the grass. Great video :)
@@nickhearn7288 rule of thumb is only cut 1/3rd of the blade to keep the plant healthy. So that golf course cut it little by little till it was at the length they wanted. Just saying you should probably learn a little more before you just assume you know it all

I have one of these, but newer. A remington model. Very light. Easy to sharpen and has a bag for clippings. Been using it for a few years now. I mow at the highest setting every other day. Its good excersize and if it's kept thick and over 3 inches seeds from weeds wont get enough sunlight to germinate. No gas no oil is great also the reel blades cut much cleaner than a rotary which is healthier for turf. I have a review on my youtube of it. Was only 50$ i think. Nice video thanks for sharing.

You should always mow high for increased photosynthessis and growth. Also, mulching clipping is good for the lawn , and never remove more than 1/3 of your grass in one mowing, it stresses the grass. Cool machine, but ruining your beautiful grass.

Could probably lift those blades up by a hair, seems they are grinding pretty hard, judging from the sound and seeing how hard it is to push that thing.
Yeah if it’s brown instead of green it’s too low you’re cutting into the root at that point but if you mow every few days the roots will get lower to the ground and the grass will be a nice green color throughout

You can't do much, at least you can use an high potassium fertilizer before winter.

Indeed, it cuts GREAT but, I wouldn't mow it down that low to protect it from burning, if this region is proned to very HIGH temperatures.

We used to use them all of the time in America I still have one but most people have push or riding mowers now
Used to use a form of this at a sod farm I worked at as a kid. Same thing, just powered by a tractor instead. Cut the grass better than anything else.
