what an episode 😅 love this arc for Tsukki!
this is the best arc so far
The really sad part is that Tsukki's brother is actually a really good player, being the ace of a middle school team and shown when he's able to receive the ball straight into the basketball hoop. The Karasuno roster at that time was just so deep that even someone as skilled and passionate as him was relegated to not even suiting up during games.
So basically it wasn't that he was bad, it's just that the other players were op.
"But once that moment arrives for you, that's the moment you'll be hooked on volleyball." - Bokuto, he may be a total goofball and essentially an older version of Hinata but his whole speech is amazing and gave me chills.
How can he so arrogant and lovable at the same time...
Tsukki's development simply it's GOD TIER
This was really what made me love Tsukki's character so much. His and Tadashi's. I love that he at least have that one friend in Tadashi that was willing to knock some sense into him whenever he needed them to. His brother, Akiteru was a really pivotal part in his development even way before becoming a club member himself. It was a shame what happened to him in high school but that's the reality of it, no matter how sad it may have been. There were just people that were a hair better than him, given how Karasuno was at the peak of their career back then.
There are only a certain number of team positions available, so clubs that are really large like Karasuno was at the time of its height or some of the other stronger teams in the prefecture like Aoba Johsai have members that are still part of the club but don't suit up to play or even be on the bench during matches. Karasuno in the present just has few enough members that everyone gets to put on a jersey.
As a side note: Usually match lineups are around 12-14 total players, the exact amount depends on the tournament.

Babby Tsukki is ADORABLE and I need more of him in my life. Also, Kuroo, Bokuto, and Tuskki are such a chaotic group and they always make me grin really big.
It's finally time for Tsukki's charac development! It just gets better and better from this point.
Also LOVE Bokuto's speech! He's just the best.

Yamaguchi is the most relatable and realistic character in Haikyu..

9:05 This is probably the moment where I said, THIS is a sports anime, THIS is why it's better than the rest and I relate to Haikyuu SOOOO MUCH, I played Volleyball with family and friends, but then I got an incredible serve in, and multiple of them (or was it a really hard receive from a serve...idk) BUT, that moment, is where Volleyball became special to me.
Haikyuu also delivers on the pain, the joy, the stress, the journey of getting stronger, winning and losing, NONE OF IT, is blown out of proportion and any Volleyball player who plays with seriousness will understand !
You're not ready for the Tsukki level up in season 3❤️😌!!

I literally cannot emphasize enough how Bokuto and Kuroo mother henning Tsukki and taking him under their wing extremely contributed to his growth and development as a volleyball player
He had two of the best players parenting him
the "conclusion" to Tsukki's backstory still makes me cry to this day. I know you're weeks ahead in terms of uploading reactions here so you may have already seen it but if not, damn...just......damn...
Tsukki has one of the greatest development in this anime
6:12 Tsukki's brother was only on the practice squad. There can only be 12 players on the court, 6 starters + 6 subs. At the time that Tsukki's brother was on the team, Karasuno was really strong. That's when Little Giant was the ace and they made it to Nationals. So even though Tsukki's brother was an ace in middle school, he couldn't even make the regular team at Karasuno.
Ohhhhhhh, shes asking about tsukki's moment 🤭🤭 its probably the best haikyuu episode you'll watch.

The Training Camp arc is still my favorite of all. This whole arc provided Karasuno the foundation and development they needed to reclaim that Power house title
