  • How did Whalers Way not originally make it onto our itinary!? This place is absolutely bananas!
Not much convincing was needed as we believe this was the BEST SPOT on the EYRE PENINSULA
Make sure to check out the "swimming hole" and "whalers crevasse" in this video.
    Hello CZcams Fam
It is day 112 on our South Australia road trip and we are still in Port Lincoln (been like 2 weeks but feels like an eternity... ) and we have not yet left the Eyre Peninsula. Although, thank god we didn't!
After our last episode, we were stumped for ideas and felt like we had exhausted the Eyre Peninsula. By the looks of it, we pretty much did.
We went to the Tourist center to find if there is anything else to the Eyre Peninsula, we wanted something a little more unique and not wildly advertised.
Whalers Way poked its name up in some pamphlets and we wanted to know more about it.
What we gathered that there is this place where an old Whalers station once was, on some coastal cliffs, in the backyard of someone's property (a permit is required so please attain one at the local Tourist office), located on the southern tip of the Eyre Peninsula.
My lord, This place was absolutely incredible! I wish I brought 15 drone batteries with me there 😱
This easily was our favorite location on the Eyre Peninsula. We are still Filtering through our catalog of photos/ video to best display this amazing place for you on our socials!
Hope we did this place a service and showcase to you to put this on your itinerary around South Australia.
Don't just let my words 'woo' you, check out this video before everyone else finds out about this location. If you have been here before, please tell us your favorite location in Whalers Way?
Also, did we miss anything on the Eyre Peninsula that we should check out next time on a South Australia Roadtrip?
    Thanks guys!

If you missed the caves you didn't walk around the rocks to the right far enough. There is many caves that are HUGE arches and absolutely breathtaking. There's some amazing rock pools in front of them too. You also missed Redbanks beach which is absolutely amazing and remote. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves, camped on top the cliff with perfect weather and no wind ANNND had a seal colony on the rocks just near our camp. I highly recommend spending a night camping at Whalers Way so you can make the most of it. It's by far the best thing to see in South Australia!

Omg the entrance to the park is so legit and something I would totally expect from an Australian nature park! They just give you a key and set you free hahaha. I can't believe the swimming hole wasn't marked with a whale either like what?! That was the coolest spot ever and it's so neat how you climbed down to it. The cliffs are all so beautiful and mesmerizing. We saw seals on the California coast a couple years ago and didn't even know what they were until they started moving because they were just sprawled out sleeping it looked like a really big log lol 😂

Yeah! It's actually really common around these parts of South Australia. There is much private property around here that sits on such beautiful parts of the coast line, and instead of the government buying it up to make into National Parks, they allow the owners to charge people a fee to come and visit! Great way to make money I reckon!
