    It is the targeting of ads that is worrisome. All citizens should get the same message to make a judgement of the candidate. Anything else is just lying.

    Well, I know in my state elections for governor I was deciding between Pritzker & Biss. The lack of speciric actions in Biss's ads ultimately made me not vote for him. I think he could've been awesome, but he couldn't pull on much.
    Also Jeannie Ives took a hardcore Trump flavored politics compared to Bruce Rauner & it was like I thought she was charismatic but her policies would've put me in danger.
    Another thing to note is that 40% of our 10 prior governors have been sent to jail so my thoughts are that if someone's willing to take that seat then they're going to jail anyway & I have faith in the power of getting them being removed over wrong doing. In other words if they're willing to go to jail over the mud slung I'm okay with it.

    How can 40 million households have TV's in 1952, & 10 times more households 1962? That's 400 million households ... not that many people in America today.

      erlich so USAmerican media is controlled by 6 companies all headed by old cishet white men. I'd suggest we look at the motivations of Qatari's Al Jazeera & USAmerican media before we start saying not controlled by a dictator because son of a gun USA has been putting more & more power onto their presidency. Also USA workplaces are rarely democracies (which is a complaint when talking about free speech on the internet & social media.)

    • @erlich85
      @erlich85 Před 5 lety

      @@eve36368, I don't see what skin color has to do with it. and you can't really put all the american media in one group, it's very diverse as you must know, at least as diverse as the American people. Of course Qatari media is not diversed at all, since as i stated before, it is controlled by a dictator.

    There is NOTHING principled about political advertising, ESPECIALLY anything connected to AOC. You are giving a positive spin on socialists! Favorite political ads: Reagan’s “Morning in America,” Bill Clinton’s “Hope, Arkansas,” and Ted Cruz’s parody of “Office Space” - “It’s Good to Be a Clinton.”
