A review of the Huami Amazfit GTS Smartwatch. If you guys don't know Huami, they're an offshoot of Xiaomi that specializes in digital life products.
A very pretty looking watch with a lot going for it but it does have its drawbacks...
Works on both iOS and Android just fine.

Several CZcams viewers have brought to my attention that the watch has received an update that allows it to have an Always On Display. Not only that, but it seems that the smoothness of operation has improved to quite a good amount, so it's good to see Huami constantly working on improving it.
At time of filming, editing and publishing the video, the update wasn't out yet, so unfortunately I couldn't include it in.
My wife loves the watch even more now. Haha.

If I wanted to use this primarily as a smartwatch without the fitness tracking, would you still recommend getting this? Has your opinion changed in any way after the update?
I still like my Google WearOS watch for not just being able to Read but Reply messages, and use Google Assistant, but apart from that, I think that's pretty much it already.
Battery life is a lot better on this watch, and yes features are a bit limited with no app store, but a lot of it in WearOS is just fluff anyway. I think it's a good watch. It really has its merits.

There's the Honor and Huawei Smartwatches, and if you catch it on sale, you'll see some Samsung options on sale as well

The battery life is a HUGE plus for me!
I went from a Pebble (R.I.P.) with a weekly charge to a 1-2 day battery life of a Ticwatch C2. The Ticwatch is ok, but I find WearOS sluggish and having to charge it daily, very annoying (too many things need charging all the time!!!)
I've been interested in this watch after seeing it's battery life, I'm ok with it being as sluggish as WearOS, that is an ok trade off for the long battery. I also don't need a watch that does many of the things my phone does, but I am concerned that you didn't get notifications - I haven't seen anyone else mention that, so I hope it's a one off.

Oh man this makes me REALLY happy someone appreciates it. I tried very hard in Resolve to get it right, and nearly gave up but in the end persevered and it turned out GREAT ahahaha

How do I receive my text on my watch from my iPhone. I can get every notification on my phone except my text. Is there a way to fix this? I’ve tried toggling and looking in my apple settings and I get nothing.

You can choose which apps to appear for your notifications on the watch. The choices are in the app 😊

How many functions (like heart rate, sleep tracking, gps hours) on an average you were using, after which it went 50% battery in two weeks?
I’m using Garmin Forerunner 245. Does this watch would be an alternative ? Could it compete with a Garmin in terms of fitness tracking abilities and accuracy ? I’m afraid it can’t...
What I have seen when I look some Garmin too it's a bit different. I'm wondering too which to get. Was for the amazfit but want feature little like some Garmins have but it's has the most things you need look at there website :)
None of the reviewers have mentioned anything about social media/call notifications and accessibility. Can you please shed some light on the subject?
Absolutely. You can get messages into your watch, but it's rudimentary in the sense that it's just your phone's push notifications to your watch.
You can get caller information and receive/ reject calls, but you cannot use the watch as a speaker or microphone; everything needs to still be done on the phone.
As far as accessibility goes, the options seem limited but I wouldn't be sure as to what you're looking for as well

You can see it when I'm running through watch faces in the app (wife has the watch now and I can't remember the name)

Unfortunately from what I heard from their reps and trying it myself, if you buy the Chinese variant, it is impossible to change it to English short of maybe a firmware change.

Awesome watch man, if they had that in the U.S I would have got one. Instead, I have the Apple Watch ⌚️ 5 series Nike Edition 44mm.
I agree it looks as awesome and does everything I want at a quarter of the price.
But of course the number one functionality is the battery life of the GTS which makes it an easy win.

@@AndrijaUrosevic there's a high chance that you can only get the Chinese version in China, as international versions may just be marked for export only.
From the looks of it, China is the test bed and when it improves enough, they release the international variant.

You can only answer incoming calls, it allows you to receive it from your phone. You can't make outgoing calls.

Wollte mir erst eine Apple Watch kaufen, da Zuhause alle unsere Geräte Apple sind, doch ehrlich gesagt für die paar mal die ich Sport mache und laufen gehe rentiert sich das viele Geld nicht wirklich, daher dacht ich mir komm nimmst erstmal ne günstige um zu schauen ob ich sie wirklich nutze. Ich muss sagen für diesen Preis ist die Uhr einfach nur super. Für meinen Gebrauch mit Schritte Zähler ist es absolut praktisch. Kann ich nur empfehlen
Seit 3 Tage habe ich die Fitnessuhr erhalten, habe gleich zum Radfahren (mehr als 3 Stunden) genutzt. Mit der App VeryFitPro funktioniert die Uhr prima. Herzpuls, Geschwindigkeit, Route, Zeit wurden ausgewertet während/nach Sport. Gesten bin ich wieder mit dieser Uhr gejoggt. Die Akku hält lange Zeit. It is bad at both. I just got it for notification, on which sucks as well! But I installed a custom font because the piece of junk doesn't display emojis. So I need an app to flash the font to the watch and to send the emojis! The heart rate is inaccurate too! It recorded a heartbeat of my pillow 🤣😂😂

There's two things I don't like on this.
One is that button. It should have square buttons.
The other thing is the bracelet. I wouldn't go swimming with that because I would be afraid of loosing the watch.
Other than that, the watch looks cool.
Always on mode in this watch is rubbish ...it will give you the same screen as the Bip. 😠

Worst watch, spending 10000 rs, for having just to look ur activity, u can't see pics, u can't view any photo from whatsapp notification, u cant save any single music file, as it doesn't have any internal memory,
