As a Christian I loved this song not only because it’s a very catchy and well written song but also I see the message as something more than just being self conscious. In my opinion I feel like this song is a good way to express to people that feel they aren’t good enough for god to love them that he does love them and that they are good enough, I know that feeling like you aren’t good enough can prevent people from having a relationship with god, I actually have several people in my life that are very close to me that feel this way.
I was listening to this ony way home. Replayed it about 3 or 4 times, and I just had it click near the end that the reason I felt I needed to listen to this so many times was His message to me! ❤

Speaking out of the context of the movie, this song has a great message, out of the romantic sense, God has made each one of you in an amazing and unique way, and he has a purpose that only you can do, you were not born by accident. So, don't try to live someone else's life or live just to compare yourselves with others, I know we have faults and the reality is that there are many areas we have to work on, but hey! that's what's special about this journey with God. ❤️

I cannot even explain how relatable this whole thing was and how much I loved this movie, lol. I lowkey wish life was a musical, how fricking random and hilarious and sappy but so uplifting would that be! Like you're mad? OKAY. LET'S SING ABOUT HOW MAD. You're self conscious? That's sad :(. I'm in college but well I think there are probably still people who don't get told they're good enough. But I think that that makes movies like these extra important, so that people will know that they are good enough.

This film explores a lot... Self esteem/confidence, honesty and authenticity, friendship, family, and love, redemption, life purpose, self righteousness (with the Sean character), and even a little bit on faith (which I wish they touched on more). I'd like to see a sequel showcasing Will's spiritual growth.

When I hear this song it speaks to me and my relationship with God. How I feel like I'm not good enough to be saved. I know it's about young love but this speaks to me.
