    hello did you have to calibrate any sensors after?

    BSM provisions and I'm in.

      We wish we could, but due to liability reasons it is unfortunately not something we are going to be offering.

      @@ArtecIndustries just make it so the end user is responsible for any liability. westin has a bumper out that has bsm capabilities (pro series) the end user may or may not want to use it. they make the choice. Besides you are telling us to zip tie the bsm up out of the way. could be a potential liability as well. just saying. good luck to you sir. keep up the good work.

    Nice job do you guys build bumpers with dual swing arms for the over landing community.

    • @ArtecIndustries

      Thanks! Currently that is not an option that we offer, although it is something we are looking into.

    Maybe I missed it, but where did you get the round reverse lights from? The holes that are on each side that are slightly larger than the parking sensor. The one on your website doesn't appear to have these larger holes. Was the one in the video a prototype?

    • @ArtecIndustries
      @ArtecIndustries  Před 2 lety

      Correct this was a prototype made for the owner of Artec on his personal rig. The are the Rigid Ignite lights.

    Will the blind spot monitor system still work even if it is just hung up like?

    • @ArtecIndustries
      @ArtecIndustries  Před 2 lety +1

      No it will not work with this bumper unfortunately. You could possibly modify it but for us it was a liability thing why we couldn't make them BSM compatible.

    Does anyone know the name or part number of the bolts on 12:36 ?

    • @ArtecIndustries
      @ArtecIndustries  Před 2 lety

      They are factory bolts and I believe they should be M12 1.5mm bolts.

    They got to be better then the
    Bumper superstore
    I paid $3000 for a trailready bumper and 2 months after I paid for the bumper I get a email saying that the labor day sale is over and the bumper went up $400 and they want the extra $400 I told then that there must be a mistake because I paid in full and I've never heard back from them I have a receipt where I paid in full
    They want return my calls and deleted my reviews
    They just scamming people
    Good luck out there

  • @SlightlyLessFat

    That seemed WAY more involved than your front 3G winch bumper! Toyota way over engineered that! Why didn't you add the provisions to have the blind spot system able to be installed and used?

    • @ArtecIndustries
      @ArtecIndustries  Před 3 lety +1

      It almost seems like Toyota never wanted it to come off! Unfortunately, due to liability reasons we are not going to be offering the BSM provisions. Between the need for recalibration after any big rock hit as well as being in exactly the right position, there was just too much liability involved with the Blind Spot Monitors.

    • @SlightlyLessFat
      @SlightlyLessFat Před 3 lety

      @@ArtecIndustries interesting! You'd think with the ability to turn it off, you had a window to mitigate the leagal/lawyer end of making them able to be mounted.

    • @SlightlyLessFat
      @SlightlyLessFat Před 3 lety +1

      @@ArtecIndustries maybe you could put the provisions but in your install manual, you could add a clause with the asterisk that it's up to the driver to mount but if something went wrong, Artec is not responsible?

  • @bradgt5130
    @bradgt5130 Před 2 lety +1

    The 3rd gen rear bumper has got to be one of the most over engineered pos out there. Modular in design to make it cheaper for repairs!?! That step cap is practically useless once you get it off, I wouldn’t doubt 1/4-1/2 the clips broke.

    • @ArtecIndustries
      @ArtecIndustries  Před 2 lety

      Toyota does great work, but the stock rear bumper on the 3rd gen is a head scratcher for sure!

    • @ArtecIndustries
      @ArtecIndustries  Před 2 lety

      Thanks!! The parking sensors will work and have holes and hardware to use the stock sensors in our bumper after they are removed from your stock bumper.

  • @LAAM619
    @LAAM619 Před 2 lety

    So no bsm because of liability yet you instruct ppl to zip tie it under the truck where those zip ties will crack. Not to mention you remove a factory safety feature during install. Thats already liability.

    • @ArtecIndustries
      @ArtecIndustries  Před 2 lety

      That was tossed in the dumpster about a year and a half ago, but it was fairly beat up anyways! A nice Artec bumper would be perfect on your Taco though, and we have a sale running right now as well!
