I play multiple bad shapes, how come I never win with them?

Making bad shape and having it be a good move is more the exception than the rule. It is usually a mistake in itself or the result of a mistake in an earlier move.

I used to watch your videos for excellent Go content. Now I also look forward to new accessories around the Go board 😅

Hahahahahaha I used to have a lot of small little things around my board just to make my kifu-spread sessions more interesting, but most of them don't look in the videos so I only kept the most simple ones.
I always play with a pair of walnuts or whatever bracelet I happen to be wearing when I play go to keep me from making stupid impulse moves, and that pair of walnuts on the bottom left side is my favorite pair 😎

Go Seigen was born in China but moved to Japan in his early teens, right?

yaya, Okura Kihachiro and Inukai Tsuyoshi invited Go Seigen to Japan when he was about 14 years old because they thought Go would become a great go player if he studied and practiced go in Japan.
