    just wanna say, for some reason it's taken me a lot longer than i thought to really get into the digitone. i knew it was an amazing machine but for some reason never could crack it. then i watched this video last night and it really cracked it wide open for me and i had the most fun with it so far. so thank you, RMR!

      Same here, Strider had masterful use of the Yamaha FM chip in the Megadrive/genesis and this machine is of course also FM based. The robot gorilla making the boxing bell noise, the kind of elephant noises and the shiiiiing of the sword always stood out to me 😁

    I've been producing music for over 10 years and never owned any hardware synths.
    I've almost exclusively used FM8 for the last 7 years to make all my synths and drums.
    I'm now looking for some hardware to spice up my relationship with producing and I'm totally in love with the digitone thanks to your videos.
    Thank you for sharing :)

    Hey Jeremy! Love your series on the DT really inspiring stuff! Especially the last bit on the arpeggiator was really cool. Its amazing wat you can do with that MIX parameter on the SYN1 page it has a huge potential sound design wise.. I'm thinking of making a hybrid drum patch with this techique, like crossfade between a tonal based bdrum and a snare/hihat on the other end of that virtual fader. Keep 'em coming these videos of yours!

    Nice glitch beat at the end to show those locking capabilities that you recorded in is amazing. I’m so In love with my tone its like a girlfriend almost. I have 16 dnb patterns to polish up on this thing to get an hour live set which will be awesome. Apparently the internal pattern storage is 16 thousand patterns 128x 128. Is that too good to be true or will it hopefully not crash halfway through god I hope not Although If it was 160000 patterns I’d have to live 3 lives to fill this thing up. Yeah she’s definitely cute and expanded. Thets hope. Peace ✌️

    I see you are running audio out of the headphone jack. Is there any disadvantage to that as compared to running a true stereo pair outside of not being able to pan them wider, is there a volume output difference? I want this machine and have limited input on a mixer so it would be helpful to know.

    Hi Jeremy! Thanks for the great videos. Help me with advice (I'm not a professional musician). If you could choose one device to enjoy the music, what would it be? digitakt, digitone, or something else for the same price? thank!

      @cymbolic_space1832 Před 3 lety

      I second @redmeansrecording on this one. It's not sexy advice but it's really the best advice.
      I started using a daw when I went to school for drums, never wrote a song in my life. After spending a few years with protools and discovering how much I love making electronic music and learning what electronic music I like to make, it really helped inform me as to what hardware gear I wanted to get slowly over time.
      Because of this, I have no wasted gear chilling like a thousand dollars staring me in the back, aaaaaand because I spent time in the daw, I can mix and edit all my creations if I would like, aaaaaaaand if I want to explore a concept before buying gear dedicated to it, it's pretty straight forward.
      Also, I would recommend Ableton Live over Protools for a DAW. Protools is just what we used in school.

    But you can’t trig a kick/snare in same time, you have to sound pool in a second track.
    Some little things in the box are completly messed up like glide/portamento, the unison-voice sounds shit especially when you make chords or big sounds.
    Why they don’t put a « drum track »?
    This sound pool is complicated you have to remember where you put some things...
    I own a Digitone and my thoughts I think a Digitone is like a toy more than an real instruments and when you play with others instruments, Digitone sounds flat.
