    Awesome tutorial, had no idea how useful the move elastic brush was bending a plane around the edges was difficult for me until now.
    I'll have to take a look at your other tutorials!

    2018 and still an awesome workflow for capes and long clothing. The bit at the beginning about dynamics vs sculpting, from a conceptual point of view, was spot on- especially in zbrush. Thanks for this video.

    People don't forget checking the difference mesh for flipped normals before subdividing it. Mine had a bunch.

    Great tutorial, man! Just a question, once you have the fabric done and want to go in and give it some thickness, instead of morphing it couldn't you have done it by deformation-->inflate? Thanks!

    I have been having trouble getting use to and controlling the transpose tool. When you expand the mask at the bend how do you do that? I have watched this part over and over and it appears to be missing a step? It doesn't help that my mouse for some reason is being sensitive! lol Assistance would be great! This is a nice tutorial! Thank you!

    quick question, how do you merge the cape to the body? i tried dynamesh, but it assumes the folds are holes and fills them, so it ends up looking like a plane all over again...

    • @quinndelano8837
      @quinndelano8837 Před 8 lety +3

      append the cape to the body, (TOOL>SUBTOOL>APPEND,) select the cape, and it should be in your subtools panel move it to the slot beneath the body, and under the merge option select merge down with the body selcted

    Nice tutorial. Would've like to see more about creating folds and variance in how cloth wrinkles, etc. - 09:45 - In 2018, you can just Qmesh this with the Zmodeler brush to get the thickness.

    How do you change brush size without going to the toolbar at the top? (slider appearing in middle of screen)

  • @improvementTime10.3.17

    7:50 lower poly count = can move the plane/cloth more easily
