In May 2008, I saw his live performance at Hyuga-city, Miyazaki-pre, Japan(“The Journey”period).
It marks a beautiful moment in my memory.
Especially the waltzes by Ravel were very powerful interpretations with poetic serenity.

I always feel CZcams critics are somewhat musical frauds themselves

@@TomTom53421 unless they can say exactly WHAT it is about the playing they admire or dislike. As far LF as being a pedagogical fraud is concerned, I never studied with him. I know two people who left his class at Peabody after a year or two, but the one master class I attended was a life-changer for me, and that is not an exaggeration. And about this playing, the first movement is admittedly fleet and superficial, but the slow movement is as Mesto as I've ever heard it.
