- Over the last week of January, I had the opportunity to visit Threshold Aviation in Toronto, Ontario for some hands on stick time with their AMAZING 737 Simulator. This was something I had always dreamed of and I can't begin to thank the community and supporters for allowing me to do something like this! I am pleased to offer anyone interested in trying the SIM for themselves, the code CPTCANADA737 on the Threshold website (www.thresholdaviation.com/) or over the phone to receive 15% off ALL Simulator packages.
A special thanks goes out to Dan, Greg "Smitty", Ravi, Kevin, Matt & the entire staff at Threshold Aviation. Thank you for making us feel as if we were at home! - Hry
The most casual-dressed airliner pilot ever.
CptCanada without sunglasses?
Seeing you in that seat makes me smile. You can tell that is where you belong and where you need to be! Consider flight training please. It’s never too late and it’s worth the journey. I’m a CFI right now about to go to a regional in a few months and i was in your shoes 3 years ago. I know you love what you do, but you deserve the real thing! Love your content!!
145,000$ CAD if I walked off the streets tomorrow for a full ATPL... I get that its good to have a dream, but in all reality it will never happen lol. I have however been toying with the idea of getting my "sport" license. Hopefully good news coming soon :)
Tip: just remember to keep your hand on the throttle until “V1” is called out🙂
I am sure you just forgot because the excitement was overwhelming
haha, this being my first time in ANYTHING like this, yes I was a tad overwhelmed. I tried to replicate what I do at home and well, using a saitek throttle is NO WHERE near the same caliber as this lol
Remember hand on thrust levers till V1. 😊
Don’t forget to turn the no smoking light off 😉
I heard the ro-ta-tay!
Absolutely awesome man! I bet this was a surreal experience.
Fantastic, what an experience. Well done Cpt, need to hear your comments overall.
Ohhhhh how I hope there's more of these to come! So awesome!
So much more than awesome... What an incredible opportunity.
Oh BB, I was waiting long for this
Couldn't confirm if it was you without sunglasses until you said Rotatay.
Holy crap!! He’s doing the full motion!! That’s awesome dude, I’m glad to see you get to do this! I’ll catch another stream soon brother!
7:36 You forgot to turn the packs back on, In a real world scenario you world turn the packs on for air conditioning for the cabin.
Incredible Captain!
Threshold Aviation is actually right near where I live- It's nice to see what it looks like with a full flight! But I'm too busy with irl flight lessons in the Warrior to do any 737 stuff next to YYZ lol. Nice vid and this is the 1st time that i've seen you with no sunglasses :)
Great job!
I was there on Christmas Eve, had a great flight! Staffs are really nice. Still much to learn and will keep on practicing.
Must have been a great experience!
Nice. Looks fun.
Fantastic Sim & setup. Awesome flight. BTW, departing outta Kennedy 31L , what SID you had setup for? Great video Capt!
Wow amazing cpt
That was BOSS!
The friendliest sim-captain online - you totally deserve this experience! Looks like a very detailed simulator, hopefully one of these days I'll get to experience something similar to this. One quick question - was the trim wheel functioning? I didn't see it moving and it seemed like you were putting a lot of inputs into the yoke during climbout?
awesome dude!
Amazing! Hope you enjoyed your experience. (No doubt you did🙂🙃)
Nice!
So goooood capitain😍
Cool! !!!
That looked epic.. Flew that takeoff, like an autopilot! Cant wait to see the rest.. on a side note was anyone else waiting for a big scary surprise in the long dark aftermath? I did..
Like a boss
i went to the singapore one for my 8th birthday and as my father is a 737 pilot he brought me there and i had my time of my life
cap so cool ive done one before to i loved best time ever
Good to know Captain Canada has legs
Wow lit
CptCanada almost becoming a real captain.
This is really cool!!! Can't wait for episode 2!!
11:24 - HE SAID IT
Feels weird seeing you without glasses on 😂
how about a cabin tour cpt?
13:30 The simulator freezing for a second 😂 same as my P3D, sometimes its lags/freeze randomly
Yeah, probably the sim using the P3D platform too.
this is awesome, how did you get this thing?
Is it full motion or just the 737 panel?
You will fly just in b737 or u will try airbus?? /// very nice video👏👏👏
I completely know how to fly the zibo 737 and when you think about it, your basically capable to fly a real 737... wow since I was little I wanted to become a pilot and my dad was a Aircraft engineer
Hey👨✈️ when will the second part come out?
The cpt without glasses.. Like what?? 😂
Hello sir, I see that you've recently been live but do you no longer upload videos on here? Just curious. Love your page!
Wow
This is what the LI Cradle of Aviation Museum SHOULD offer, but doesn't, and also the Air Power Museum here as well (they did have a small simulator though, but it was outdated).
There's nothing like this in NY, and it's the Cradle of Aviation!
@@ydsimulations Supposedly they used to have a full motion simulator, but it broke down and needs replacing.
they don't simulate the pull and switch for the upper panel switches?
they do
Is this a flight or only a "Trailer"
I mean, it says what it is in the title lol
Damn that would be fun. 24 hours a day. 7 days a week.
Hey cap I got a question. It’s not about the video it’s is about the route you took. I am about 1 month into X-Plane and I know my way around the zibo 737 but I tried to do this route once but got no SID from sim brief. My question is when you write it down the way points onto the fmc on the sim. Did you pick a random departure SID or did you ignore it?
Whenever you don't get a SID, you can check your charts and USUALLY find one that will suit the departure. Here we planned the Kennedy 5 departure (JFK5) which is basically a left turn after departure then radar vectors to GAYEL waypoint.
CptCanada oh ok so look at the charts and choose a suitable departure. Thanks for the help
May I ask how much did this whole thing cost, I’m interested in building one
Is it FFS, not FBS?
What's up CptCanada
i actually flew it before in the same store
I wonder what flight simulator program they use for visuals
notch747 I think it is X-Plane 11 or FSX?? I dont really know. Good question!👍😄
Didn’t believe it was Capt until he said “Rotatay”
How much is that set up?
i wanted to go to that place when i went to Toronto but didn't happen
this is who i want on my plane in case the pilots have heart attacks
Bruh I’m jealous
No Glasses? Immersion ruined. Jk great video
No glasses?????
Why u didn’t put ur hands on throttle ? In case of engine failure before v1 😂
Who are u flying with
Smittttttttty!
Cant believe the F.O. was calling letters using regular alphabet.
Hey Smitty did an excellent job as F.O
Maybe in feature you should visit http_s:/_/dream.aero in Washington, same thing, but on moving platform...
is that the famous MR SMITTY??
yessir!
CptCanada noice
Face reveal 🤯
How much do you pay for this?
Again, check the video description for ALL your questions
*No "full motion" 737 simulator and on a P3D sim ........ What a big let down !!!*
Wow
