I love my Theta X for virtual tours, but the X3 is very tempting for my general video production arsenal.
A totally mandatory accesory for me is the rubber lens protector. Without it I would not know how to handle my camera when not shooting ...
I got that and I do feel better with it on.

I’ve broken 3/4 lens on my x3 but since the last I’m taking much more care.
Also the DJI wireless mic works well and is compatible with other cameras so saves having to change

The card reader is a must have. No more trying to connect the camera to my phone or tablet. Play and play! What a difference! Also the rubbery lens covers and the sticky lens guards. I'm a klutz!

I did not buy the waterproof case for my Insta 360 because of the Nadir which I find horrible. I film underwater with Gopro.

I bought Ulanzi clamp.....its cheaper but grips tightly. Good option
02:25 I had mine set up like that for 360 photos whilst on holiday. I was hiding out of shot and heard a clatter. A random gust of wind blew it over as it's very top-heavy. One expensive repair later and I got the three pack WaterWeights by Inspired PhotoGear - currently £25 in the UK. Also a couple of clip-on glass screen protectors from Amazon, one of which will need to be modified so I can use the mic adapter. It WILL fall over at some point, be ready.

I brought the quick charge accessory and spare battery, as well as the quick release which is a game changer! Will look into the dive case, as im not liking that nadir showing!

really good accessories and review! in the end you spoke about the warranty and here it goes my 5 cents, the Go 2 should have something like that, since that a cracked plastic on the hinge in less than 2 years of a "never dropped a single time pretty light use" kinda adjective it's a bummer...
I highly recommend the battery selfie stick. I got it instead of a second battery. I also have a 9 foot selfie stick and have got lots of comments on my videos where I use it asking about my drone! lol!

What do you think about the GPS Action Remote? I use my 360 on a motorcycle with a ZOOM F2 BT, but my biggest problem, apart from the wind noise, is syncing the audio. There's also another problem, even though the F2 uses 32-bit float recording technology, and is able to record the loudest and the quietest sound on earth, I think the ZOOM F2 lavalier microphone is not up to the job, because occasionally I get really annoying crackles popping up on the audio. I think the sound pressure on a motorcycle travelling at speed, overloads the small lavalier microphone. It's something I've got to sort out, and it looks like I need a much better mic. Maybe I should've gone down the Tentacle SYNC E route.
I was really impressed with the high quality motorcycle mount, so I've ordered another one for my old Osmo action camera. I've got most of the other stuff you mentioned, the first thing I put on were the lens guards! I was using my own screen protector, it's decent, but it's not curved at the sides, so I ordered the Insta one, and fingers crossed, everything should arrive in three days time. 👍

You never mentioned the Quick Reader. I find it invaluable for the ability to import into the mobile app to create quick videos with some interesting effects. I actually don’t use it with the camera as it removes the waterproofing but pop the card into it later to import to phone app. Kind of a hack but it works! 🇨🇦
I didn’t mention it because I never use it. For me the wifi is already fast enough for quick edits. But glad you get use out of it 👍🏻

Will you be making a similar video specifically for the Insta 360 One RS 1 Inch edition? I realize that there will be some overlap. However, there are probably some accessories designed just for the 1 Inch edition.
Not sure- honestly I’d be repeating myself with 80% of these. Main difference would be that i’d use a more pro monopod like the bushman pro, and not use the action focused accessories like the dive case etc.
@@BenClaremont one last question, I noticed that you are using the X3 in most of your videos and upcoming training course. Do you feel that it is a better 360 camera option than the One RS 1 Inch edition? I have been looking for lens guard protection for my 1 Inch edition.

(NL) Speciaal voor de X3 gebruik ik de Andoer Q160sa midi-driepoot, die heeft speciale rubber verstelling borging, waar je de poten zo ver kan uitschuiven valt je zelf wil, kost maar 8 euro meer dan de Joby Micro Tripod en is in formaat natuurlijk niet in je broekzak, maar als je een grotere rugzak bij je hebt lukt dat wel, heeft halve lengte in opgevouwen omvang als een normale statief, veel aluminium weinig plastic.

Great! I can see myself getting one of these! I also liked that mini tripod, which would be great for getting the camera really low down.
A waterproof case tip!
This will need another camera pole to be added to the list - mount the camera at 90 degrees, aligning the stitch-line with the pole. This arrangement I find is the best way to maximise the two lenses and still have the camera remove the pole. The pole would need to be slightly extended, so the user stitches correctly!

Can I use Extended Edition Selfie Stick with monopod base?
You can, but be very careful as it could blow over
What would prevent you from connecting some legs to the Insta360 3m 9.8ft Extended Edition and use it as a monopod? Would you still get the Best360 Monopod?
That would put your camera at extreme risk being up so high and the monopod would easily blow over with a gust of wind.

I as going to purchase an x3, but then kept reading about the overheating, sd card issues, corrupt files and the video quality is not up sto scratch - then looked at the 1-inch and the overheating issues are worse :/ Maybe the tech will be ready in a year.
I have not had any of those issues. Often those things come up when people use slow SD cards.

Too bad there is no reliable way to mount the DJI Mic to the X3 yet.
I’m afraid to get a bigger memory stick to be honest.
I got a 512gb Sandisk Extreme 3A2 V30, I start freshly formatted, and the slow card speed errors start appearing halfway full the card.
I rarely do very long videos so, the card has many small clips in it which is probably the cause.
I wish there was a defrag option in the camera.
Try the card I mentioned. Yours sounds like it’s slower and therefore more prone to errors.

It’s so easy to scratch the lens on these 360 cameras ….. hyper -fragile.
I’ve used 30+ 360 cameras for around 8 years and have only scratched a lens once. You have to be careful as they are protruding lenses… just like you’d be careful with a DSLR lens.
