It's a PRAWN!
I haven’t heard this song in ages, I sang along lol. Oh yes the Wiggles are Aussie. My daughter performed on the same show, but not with them, many years ago, but met them, I have 2 pics of her with yellow and purple Wiggle, she said they were all lovely polite men. 😊
Great old vid and song I’d forgotten all about 😊
I believe we have over 130 "big" things in Austrlaia, and its the big prawn lol
What is this? 🧐 Straya! 😄 Hey Dar! 😮😁 Wow, I love it! 👏💯 That's our Wiggles! 🤨 They grow Bananas in Coffs Harbour, NSW! "Prawn" not shrimp! 🙄 Yes that's Australia! 🤗🇦🇺
His concerned face for the giant prawn was hilarious 😂
Aussie Aussie Aussie
oi oi oi
Yes wiggles are Australian haha
PRAWN
Yep there's a big trail of them in every state it shows what that place farms or grows in my state they have the bog Cray and gains rocking-horse
Also look up grain silo murals and have them painted on side of buildings in city as well
honestly one of my favourite songs
Wow, so many icons in so little a time. Absolutely The Wiggles are Australian. One of my neighbours was a Dorothy actor. The team of women in green and gold are the Australian Diamonds, the national netball team. We are dominant in international netball, along with our Kiwi cousins - we have some epic on-court battles with them. The kids in white are the Australian Girls Choir and National Boys Choir of Australia, they appear in several of the heart-touching QANTAS "I Still Call Australia Home" ads. The guy doing some jerky dancing is Peter Garrett. the lead singer of Midnight Oil, an Aussie band who have great songs focussed on reconciliation and conservation. We don't call shrimp anything different, we have prawns, they are different animals to shrimp.
the cockroaches/rockband is where the wiggles came from love from australia
And one of the things us Aussies love the most is swearing, its very common and basically a second language.
Yes, the Wiggles are Aussie.
We have lots of “Big” things in Australia.
You should check them out.
Prawn, giant Koala is in Dadswells bridge Victoria, There a few big things around
There's a few YT videos called Big Things of Australia. Might be worth a look! There's plenty more than the few in this clip.
Coffs Harbour North of Sydney heading towards Brisbane so is the Big Prawn (Shrimp) , Wiggles are from Sydney , The Field Brothers are from out Blacktown way where they went to school their father owned a local Chemist .

What a weird clip looking in at 2023 lol
Who else could hear the chorus of "It's a fkn PRAWN 🦐"!! ? 🤣
You'll get there mate!👍🙃
The old fella that was chugging down the beer in front of that crowd, is an ex-Prime Minister, Bob Hawke...bloody legend🍻
And yes there are big things all over the country. In Wagin, Western Australia, we have a big Merino. ..a Sheep. 🐑 ..unless someone's pinched it by now 🤔 Tho it's BIG 😉
🍻✌️
Awesome thanks I enjoyed seeing that
As a geography, country, history nerd the word straya kills my braincells
Same. I'm Australian, I'll say Aussie but I never say "straya".

The big prawn is in Ballina NSW, unfortunately the town is half an hour away from the shittest place on earth Byron bay
Why has it taken so long for Americans to discover Australia & New Zealand AGAIN as thousands were here in WW2 on leave from Pacific campaign Did they forget abut Western style civilisations in the Antipodes Australia and New Zealand
At first I didn't read this properly and thought you were going to react to our actual anthem. lol. Glad you didn't. It's not great, despite the fact we all get behind it when it's sung because that's just what you do when you love your country. This song, though, is great. You should listen to 'I Am Australian' sung by The Seekers. It's a much more seriously beautiful and emotive song than this one but I guarantee you'll love it. Listen to the actual anthem (Advance Australia Fair) too if you want, but just be aware that it fails on a great number of levels - especially in that it gives no respect to our First Nations people and their 60,000+ year history here (the world's oldest continuous civilisation), nor the fact that we are a hugely diverse nation made up of people from all over the world. It only became our antthem in the 1980s after we got rid of 'God Save the Queen' (Now 'God Save the King' because Charles is King of England now - and technically King of Australia, New Zealand, Canada and a few other countries - still, unfortunately lol) Glad you enjoyed this one! Cheers, Matt (Sydney, AUS)
I think getting behind the anthem is true but with a twist. I think you'll find at sporting events when it's mainly sung is more like a competition before the game plays, similar to a pre game being played before the main game. There's no prizes or ribbons to be won but that doesn't mean the crowd aren't in competition with each other & that competition is who can sing the national anthem the loudest in their best bogan accent. Even our Aussie men's cricketers are in the competition too against each other & the crowd coz if your ever heard the boys sing our anthem then u know that they can't sing, which is expected coz if they could sing they'd hava recording contract somewhere & not batting & bowling for Australia as well they beat out the words in the very Aussie & very bogan accents, very proud & loud bogan accents
I actually think that there's a performative element to it, but it's not a singing contest that's ging on, it's more about looking like you're a patriotic, proud Aussie, than anything. Peope who would probably never sing along with the National Anthem sitting at home in their living room and watching on TV, stand up and put on a serious face and sing the anthem. It's because they're in public and there's a pressure to do it. Yes, people are patriotic in a genuine sense as well, but once the anthem plays, there's a certain 'expected' behaviour of everyone that most people comply with, and there is harsh judgement of those who might dare to behave in a way that seems at odds with the unwritten rules being followed by the majority.@@Tully_23_32
