How to start and finish a conversation, exchange of pleasantries, official&unofficial style of dialogue - all these you will find it this lesson + a teaspoon of grammar.
Sorry for imperfections. I tried the whole week to make it the best, but those small troubles showed up just now when i uploaded it and decided to watch again. I will try my best to avoid it next time.
It was nice to listen to you :) and you spoke about something no one does - mene zvut' rather than mene zvaty. I wouldn't have known one is is the proper way to say it than for here :) You spoke a lot about the meanings in detail. And you have a nice speaking voice, so it's a pleasure to hear you. Thank you for sharing with us.
Great job Alina! You are an excellent teacher. Your teaching method is easy to follow and I understand you perfectly. I can listen to your lessons over and over again until I achieve perfection. Keep up your great work and wish you the very best in Medical School. From California, USA have a nice day!
I only found yoru channel now but I am happy I can learn from you :) the pronunciation is really clear and slowly - it helps a lot :) You have a pretty voice so soft :))
Always enjoy your lessons Аліна, between these an Duolingo I will be okay. A long way to go still, I need a Ukrainian to practice with here in the state’s
Thank you. Very clear. two pronunciation details: RELatives, not reLAtives. And adVice, not adWice. And it is a collective so does not take an ‘s’. “I will accept all your advice.” Overall your English is beautiful.
Hi Alina, thank you! Very helpful! I love Eastern slavic languages and I'm interested in the differences between Ukrainian and Russian other than Belarusian. Ukrainian sounds beautiful!
These are great lessons and your voice is well suited to teach. You make the words easy to repeat and your explanations are easy to understand. Thank you I hope you are still doing youtube videos :-)
I liked the start of the video when you had English and how the words are said. I did not understand the language towards the end as they were Ukrainian letters and I did not know what I was reading. Thank you for this introduction. I will keep watching to learn by heart. My girlfriend will be very happy thank you.
Im so excited and feeling thankful for your lesson video, i was starting to learn Ukraine language since i heard their national anthem, it was touched me so much,
Very informative. I enjoy trying to learn a new language, they can be extremely intimidating with the characters alone, but this has helped settle that strain of nerves. I will certainly keep watching this video to learn more.
I am so glad to have found your channel. You instruct in a style very similar to one that I learned my second language ( French ) ...... you enunciate so well and very clearly, which makes it easy to understand and remember. My apologies, as it would appear that my understanding of the Ukrainian language will require some re learning as the little Ukrainian or at least what I thought was Ukrainian that I use, would appear to be possibly ' Russified ' Hmmmm :( , But I am very sure your lessons will be of great help with that. I look forward to watching more and learning, much. ....... Thank you and Be well !
Great! There is a lot of useful information on this channel! I'd like to recommend the excellent book by Yuriy Ivantsiv Polyglot Notes: Practical Tips for Learning a Foreign Language. This workshop contains many methods for learning a foreign language, showing how to use modern technology. The practicum will help everyone who is studying a foreign language on their own or with a teacher! Good luck to everyone! Thanks to the author for the work!
Hello Alina, I recently came across your channel and love your method of teaching Ukranian. The style you do in your lessons are helpful and easy to gain progress from. Don’t stop making new videos, your a good teacher!
It's really interesting to hear, know and learn different slang phrases, but most importantly the proper words and sentences. Can I learn Ukrainian without reading and writing? Thank you
I recently came across your channel and I loved it. These are some very useful videos. But I noticed you haven't uploaded anything new in some months, please don't stop making more videos.
Thank you for the video, I know a lot of Russian, I live in Kiev and everyone uses Russian here, but sometimes documents, television etc is in Ukrainian. So I wanted to learn some Ukrainian too. But I’m worried about getting words muddled up. I’ll learn a bit and see how I go :)
USER10051987 yes, documents, television, names of streets, grocery in supermarkets, voices that tell you names of stations in trolleybus and metro ets - everything is in Ukrainian. But after so many years of russification people still think that Kyiv is a Russian-speaking city, so most of people who come here from other regions start speaking Russian🤦♀️ and that is what makes Kyiv speak Russian🤷♀️... even more, some of them are shy speaking their language because they think Ukrainian is a language of village people😞
@FichDichInDemArsch thats a bit harsh mate, and from what I heard, ukrainian was suppressed and russian was promoted during the soviet union, so what she said makes sense...
Stevens Thomas Hi☺ No i don't teach Ukrainian at a school but I thought about it. I would like to do it, probably after some time, when my current goals are achieved (3d year of medical school is super difficult)
Let's use Latynka: вечір - večir моє им‘я - moje imja як тебе звуть - jak tebe zvuť хто ты - chto ty приємно познайомитись - pryjemno poznajomytyś дуже приємно - duže pryjemno давно не бачились - davno ne bačylyś добре виглядаєш - dobre vyhliadaješ що нового - ščo novoho як ваше навчання - jak vaše navčannia ітп.
Is it considered impolite to use short sentences with people older than you or in positions above you? For example, is "як робота?" okay to say to a friend's father or should I always say "як ваша робота"? Great videos! Thank you.
Thank you for this lesson! I am trying to learn because my grandparents came from Ukraine to the US a long time ago. Is it possible, in the end section of the lesson, the conversation, can you include showing the pronunciation in the English alphabet too? Thank you either way!
Hello Alina this lesson is well done. Thank you. This is the best way to learn your language. Short simple conversations. You are an excellent teacher. Allan
Brad Hill I'm sorry Brad, i really wish i could make more lessons but now it's temporarily impossible (i don't even have time to sleep...). You can find me in Facebook or VK and ask anything, i will help you with your learning.
Hi, Alina! The videos are rather useful! Well done! Could you tell us few words about your education and teaching experiece as well as your exp. in teaching Ukrainian for the speakers of English. I am asking because that sounds rather professional for your young age. My compliments! Best of luck with your videos and carreer! Thank you for you efforts and the materials you provide! P.s.: I've noticed the video with the answers for most of my questions. Tell sth more than if you wish. Otherwise. Go on with you work!
Христина Гинда Hi😄 I am a medical student (Bohomolets Medical University). I never studied English in any kind of "English schools", I have never gone to another country. The only tutor i have is my boyfriend who gives me a possibility of speaking with a native speaker everyday. I also have many friends from different countries who study in my med school. That's my education😂 Thank you for calling it rather professional... it's not even close to it but thanks a lot😆❤ The reason why I started making these videos is that my man and his friends learn Russian in school 😐 which is very strange for me (teaching foreighners Russian in a country that is called Ukraine😒😞). But now my school is stressing me so much that i don't even have time for myself😩 I hope it gets easier soon and i will continue making my lessons (i see people need them very much).
Sorry for imperfections. I tried the whole week to make it the best, but those small troubles showed up just now when i uploaded it and decided to watch again. I will try my best to avoid it next time.
