Joe Rogan talks to Scott Eastwood about the stereotypes about actors, and show-business politics. Featuring Cameron Hanes. Taken from Joe Rogan Experience #944.
Its amazing how identically close Scott and his dad are!!!! Just imagine how much fun could be had if he continued some of those spaghetti westerns!!! It would be epic!!!! GO SCOTT EASTWOOD!!!!!
Scott seems so down to earth..he is such a credit to his parents. I love Clint I went to his jazz bar in Carmel he is a legend. But seriously I have to say it…Clint was such a great looking guy & the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree 💚
9:40 - an acquaintance in Maui runs a surf shop where Clint filmed 'Hereafter.' Towards the end of filming, Clint had some planned days off where he took the whole crew stand up paddling. He had the shop set everybody up with everything they needed, and then when they were done, had them ship everything to the crew's individual homes. I thought it was a classy move of appreciation for their hard work.
Ran into Scott at a surf shop in Hermosa Beach, fucking guy made me and everyone around feel so ugly! But dude was cool as can be, nice guy! I wish him the best!
It disappoints me that he won't speak against the union. It's the union that is the problem. what people where making back in the 90s was doable but since then the union has been hijacked and people make dirt slaving all day
Imagine the long hard road of pursuing a career play acting knowing that if you fail you have to drive your convertible mustang GT all the way back to the mansion and settle for swimming in the 100 foot wide heated pool, workout in the home gym to blow off steam , text one of the many young struggling models that knows you because you have the most famous actor father in California to come by and have sex with you so you can get over not being picked for a play acting role , then you just sit there on the balcony . . . with a cappucino preppared by the servant and stare out at the ocean view :(
Why do people want want that lifestyle? To be rich? There’s other way to become wealthy. To be famous? Who cares about fame when its all fake , not knowing who your true friends are, so why would someone want that?
Because not everyone sees it for what it is. Alot of people just want what they see as the "easy life". Fame & Fortune seems easy to alot of folks. Then there are those who just want the attention. And of course, the very few who actually love acting.
Personally, I just want to work in film. I don’t want fame. But I do want to have a successful career in film and storytelling. Wish the industry was different. But it’s hard and scary. It’s one of the reasons I’m happy film is moving out of LA (and Into New Mexico, AZ, and Georgia). I hope this migration might change the industry to be less superficial and make it more accessible to different people.

it's funny how these guys hate Hollywood but most of their life revolves around Hollywood entertainment. but they wear camouflage n say they "hate" Hollywood but won't leave it.
You never bitched about your town or your job before? And do you have any clue how much money they make? They’re just commiserating about the general attitudes of most people in LA. It’s not like it’s an evil place full of death and deception. Morons from the Midwest going there and pretending to be famous is half the reason the business is intolerable for most.
We all hate hollywood but we still watch the shit they produce, also I hate my job and my company but I have to work for them to pay my bills that’s life
8:10 that's a Ben Franklin quote, my dad said the same when i was a kid long ago. And i don't get Joe's analysis of David Caruso, i mean come on - like him or not Caruso was a VERY successful actor. Joe talks about him like he totally failed at it. Scott probably grew up with good parenting, but to me it's a cop out to pursue acting when you're parent is a massive movie star. Of C O U R S E doors will be opened and aquaintances will be made and favors will come your way cause your Clint's kid.
With regard to Caruso, he was on a trajectory that he never lived up to. He did have a VERY rough patch where he just couldn’t find steady or good work.
Because he’s not acting here. He’s being himself. Acting like someone else on a movie or show is not easy. Most people think they could act but its hard.
I think it just sounds pretty dog eat dog and you need to be tough as Clint was he's Libertarian too but his reputation is so solid he doesn't kiss ass but maybe he did in the beginning when he was starting out and getting rejected too. As for the whole "Diva" thing well that's just cancel culture I think was a Joe a diva last year when he dared question vaccines and spoke about alternative treatments for covid or just expected to conform or else? I think Clint maybe does not get enough recognition for his directing because everyone is so enamoured with his earlier westerns and action acting roles but he does really controversial emotional storytelling behind the camera too Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino, Jewel etc not really fluff films at all. I don't think he's a narcissist either they tend to lie and rely on a false image due to insecurity or a need to manipulate Clint is authentic not delusional about his accomplishments if anything he tones it down instead of brags.
Clint Eastwood is my generations John Wayne. His son looks like him and if he is half the guy his dad is we are in for some great movies.
Great to see how un spoiled and normal he is .I wish him the best.
I'm waiting for Clint Eastwood to be on the podcast
Never gonna happen
I had no idea this dude was Eastwood's kid. He's actually pretty good!
Its amazing how identically close Scott and his dad are!!!! Just imagine how much fun could be had if he continued some of those spaghetti westerns!!! It would be epic!!!!
GO SCOTT EASTWOOD!!!!!
I think it would kinda be cool to have a movie where they play younger/older versions of each other. It would be kinda cool and funny.
Clint Eastwood's kid is a handsome man. That's some good stock
That's what happens when you stick with your own.
Look at Robert DeNiro's kid, looks horrible lol.
@@Saku19 what the fuck is wrong with you, little cretin

Now I'm wanting to see Joe interview David Caruso.
Joe dope falling down reference loll, great movie..btw fire interview
😎 👓 “Well looks like he got nailed!” 🤪 lmao
Scott Eastwood is sweet and cute, but his dad, Clint Eastwood is THE MAN.
Holy shit he looks just like his dad
Smart boy!!
I love CSI Miami though lol 😅
Joe Rogan has The King (Elvis) right behind him! I LOVE YOU JOE ROGAN!
Glad to hear Clint Eastwood was just as I hoped he would be as a human being.

David Caruso played the wimpy cop in First Blood, the only one who stuck up for John Rambo.
He seems like a cool guy, for having such a massive icon for a father. But does he have his dad's talent as an actor and film maker?
It disappoints me that he won't speak against the union. It's the union that is the problem. what people where making back in the 90s was doable but since then the union has been hijacked and people make dirt slaving all day
He and Patrick are seriously good looking and both well raised lads!!
Yeah being Clint Eastwoods kid must make becoming an actor a tough road.........
Yeah I'm thinking he would have never gotten any work if it weren't for the fact that he is who he is.
+tchrisou812 his own dad didn't cast him in a film. The guy is down to earth.

You really don’t see the appeal? Seriously?
Narcissistic, need attention, power, control, or they might just like acting?

He was raised right
do a remake of" the good bad and the ugly" with clint directing starring his son scott
No. Leave it alone. It’s doesn’t need a remake
Liking Scott as much as I liked his faja .
he lookso so much like his dad.. wow

I like to act and I don't share my political affiliation.
That's why I call it HOLLYWEIRD
"Liberal Sensibilities" is an oxymoron
lol

Why does he seem like a good actor off screen and on interviews like this but on screen he’s just an ok actor?
Because he’s not acting here. He’s being himself. Acting like someone else on a movie or show is not easy. Most people think they could act but its hard.

Yeah good luck
Even though I'm not a gay man, I find Scott sexier than his own father when he was young, but well the genetic is in his veins.
