Clint Eastwood is my generations John Wayne. His son looks like him and if he is half the guy his dad is we are in for some great movies.

Scott seems so down to earth..he is such a credit to his parents. I love Clint I went to his jazz bar in Carmel he is a legend. But seriously I have to say it…Clint was such a great looking guy & the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree 💚
9:40 - an acquaintance in Maui runs a surf shop where Clint filmed 'Hereafter.' Towards the end of filming, Clint had some planned days off where he took the whole crew stand up paddling. He had the shop set everybody up with everything they needed, and then when they were done, had them ship everything to the crew's individual homes. I thought it was a classy move of appreciation for their hard work.
Now I'm wanting to see Joe interview David Caruso.

Imagine the long hard road of pursuing a career play acting knowing that if you fail you have to drive your convertible mustang GT all the way back to the mansion and settle for swimming in the 100 foot wide heated pool, workout in the home gym to blow off steam , text one of the many young struggling models that knows you because you have the most famous actor father in California to come by and have sex with you so you can get over not being picked for a play acting role , then you just sit there on the balcony . . . with a cappucino preppared by the servant and stare out at the ocean view :(

Why do people want want that lifestyle? To be rich? There’s other way to become wealthy. To be famous? Who cares about fame when its all fake , not knowing who your true friends are, so why would someone want that?
Because not everyone sees it for what it is.
Alot of people just want what they see as the "easy life". Fame & Fortune seems easy to alot of folks.
Then there are those who just want the attention.
And of course, the very few who actually love acting.
You really don’t see the appeal? Seriously?
Narcissistic, need attention, power, control, or they might just like acting?
Personally, I just want to work in film. I don’t want fame. But I do want to have a successful career in film and storytelling. Wish the industry was different. But it’s hard and scary. It’s one of the reasons I’m happy film is moving out of LA (and Into New Mexico, AZ, and Georgia). I hope this migration might change the industry to be less superficial and make it more accessible to different people.

And i don't get Joe's analysis of David Caruso, i mean come on - like him or not Caruso was a VERY successful actor. Joe talks about him like he totally failed at it.
Scott probably grew up with good parenting, but to me it's a cop out to pursue acting when you're parent is a massive movie star. Of C O U R S E doors will be opened and aquaintances will be made and favors will come your way cause your Clint's kid.
With regard to Caruso, he was on a trajectory that he never lived up to. He did have a VERY rough patch where he just couldn’t find steady or good work.
Why does he seem like a good actor off screen and on interviews like this but on screen he’s just an ok actor?
Because he’s not acting here. He’s being himself. Acting like someone else on a movie or show is not easy. Most people think they could act but its hard.

Even though I'm not a gay man, I find Scott sexier than his own father when he was young, but well the genetic is in his veins.
I think it just sounds pretty dog eat dog and you need to be tough as Clint was he's Libertarian too but his reputation is so solid he doesn't kiss ass but maybe he did in the beginning when he was starting out and getting rejected too. As for the whole "Diva" thing well that's just cancel culture I think was a Joe a diva last year when he dared question vaccines and spoke about alternative treatments for covid or just expected to conform or else? I think Clint maybe does not get enough recognition for his directing because everyone is so enamoured with his earlier westerns and action acting roles but he does really controversial emotional storytelling behind the camera too Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino, Jewel etc not really fluff films at all. I don't think he's a narcissist either they tend to lie and rely on a false image due to insecurity or a need to manipulate Clint is authentic not delusional about his accomplishments if anything he tones it down instead of brags.
