I got the ninja 5. You should consider it you got more features ! But yeah the shinobi is a good one too !
I never really needed the extra features yet - but one day I may upgrade!

How do i record 4k 120 for some reason keeps showing as no input is it the firmware of my camera or the hdmi wire I am using

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: The Shinobi supports Anamorphic de-squeeze, allowing you to comfortably view anamorphic footage with a squeeze of 2x, 1.5x, 1.33, and Panasonic's 8:3.
I just ordered this monitor and s smal rig advanced kit Cage. Can this monitor be mounted vertically? Since I shoot with the camera vertical taht would make sense
Does this have an internal battery? And if not what batteries do you use for it?
I power it using an NPF battery - no internal power unfortunately

some of them you can record to the monitor and enhance the video quality but I think with the Shinobi it’s just to monitor the video and import luts

No, it's just a monitor, Ninja is a recorder too, but it all depends on what you need it for.
Does it overheat, I’ve seen a few ppl talk about overheating issues
Never had it overheat in 3+ years

So before I started to watch some videos on CZcams, and many people were discussing the same issue. The monitor is heating up no matter what!

yes but the output will not be in 120fps. which means, it will display at 30fps max.
Yes you can film 4K 120 if your camera allows it, but the display is 30fps.
@@JuanMoralesCreative thnx We film in 120fps 360 angle so we always see it in 24 fps, I guess.

I hear that the Ninja and Shinobi have white balance issues and that you need to buy a $60 just to calibrate the screen.

how do you connect it to fx3?
This monitor sucks with the fx3 don’t buy it. Been using it for close to a year and it’s garbage. Has the weirdest quarks when paired with the fx3. If you change camera modes it glitches out, can’t view your camera settings on it, no grid lines show up either. Peaking sucks on it too. Oh not to mention if you want to switch through setting on the monitor you will be clicking for days just to get it to register.
I’ve never had any of these issues! But everyone is entitled to their own experiences or opinions 🤟
@@JuanMoralesCreative interesting I’ve talked to others with the exact same issues as myself even contacted Atomos and they said it doesn’t work well with fx3

@@JuanMoralesCreative there is always this type of people had it for 1 yeqr 5 yeara etc..reality is they are not reliable anymore, using chinese cheap parts but sellihg australian premium price. The company has no custimer service anymore. You submit a ticket and it dies there in the inbox. When u get an answer they tell you exchange it at the dealer , which is not possible bcz dealers do nkt exchange old units. But take ur unit if u have warranty and send it for relair and u stay without for weeks . It s not what it used to be. Not only me. But u can read more reviews of the same CS issue. What wd a screen stop working anyways!? It s an old lroven tech that even my old car has a screen that does not stop working. Why buying from atomos is such a life risk
