This series is actually one of the best live action adaptation I've seen. The actors and actresses are really talented and beautiful and the story progression is amazing. The King's Avatar and Falling into your Smile are simply the best eSports live action series I've seen.

Yeah there was some thing this recap got wrong. He didn't give his team account away, he was forced to being that the account is considered team property and he didn't quit, they forced him into retirement. He also didn't create a new account, that was his old account before he started the team. He also told Su Macheng to stay because she is a professional player and needs to fulfill her contract, if she didn't she would lose all credibility in the industry. Also that job he apply for was attendant of internet cafe, he was to check people in and stock snacks and stuff. He didn't use his twin brother's name when applying for the job, that was his real name. Ye Qiu was his twin brother's name that he was using all that time he was playing professionally. Bao Zi wasn't his student, but more of a dedicated fan.

i love these type of recaps where the series is put into 1 bc sumtimes i don feel like wasying time on them so this way i know everything that happens even though it might not be 100% correct
I can recommand the anime, it‘s chinese though so the language not being japanese might put you off. I still think it‘s the best anime catching the feeling of esports. Similar to how hajime no ippo catches how boxing feels with all it‘s intensity, that show catches how esports feels.

To be fair to the manager, EE was a dead team as soon as MC left. They lost morale and their ace. Su Mucheng lost motivation, and the manager lost his chill. There wasn’t really any other way it could have gone.
So long...but I patiently and excitedly watched it. Marvelous game story! I'm also a fan of the main lead (in historical era drama).
The best movie for gamer and non gamer..... movie about trust, perseverance, honesty, discipline, courage, principles, dreams, love, teamwork, friendship and family 🥰😍❤

Its based on a manhua series that got turned into an anime and then it got this lve action adaptation. IIRC the manhua series is called The King's Avatar. Its story goes downhill after what is shown in this video though because they've done all the character development they could and it just becomes generic beyond this point.

Oh this manhua had been adapted into live-action now? It's an amazing read btw. I highly recommend reading the manhua to get more story details.

I think as good as this show was I still prefer Falling into your Smile. This one was a lot more technical while the other one focused more on the characters then the game. Both are very good though. Just my personal opinion...that and Xu Kai is pretty to look at🤣🤣🤣

The entire reason he has to become an internet cafe Keeper is because The franchise he was leading stopped winning championships, and the team decided to scape goat him for financial reasons. (He had his own reasons to remain anonymous, so never took sponsorships despite the money he and the team could have earned from doing so)
There must have been a mixed up in your timeline...
They kicked him out because in their culture, he is already considered old. So they subbed him out for another prominent player they can use for publicity.
He was undefeated, but after he left the team. That's when their dynasty fell (not being able to qualify for championship) this is also the time he was already working on the internet cafe

He is "getting old" is a mockery of an excuse to give justification. Both YeQiU and EE's Owner know its because One AUtumn Leaf's Player can bring in money, and can hopefully revitalize the team from the slump they are experiencing.
"Ye qiu", Led Excellent Era to championship victories for the first 3 years of the pro league. they made it to the finals in Season 4 where they were beaten by Team Tyranny, solidying the YeQiu/One Autumn Lea vs. Han Wenqing/Desert Dust Rivalry.
Season 5 100 Blossoms eliminated them in the Semi-finals
Season 6 they were eliminated in the Quarter finals.
Season 7 is the Year he "retires"
A little misinformation, He was considered old but still Undefeated.
One of the main reasons is that he wasn't bringing in the necessary fanfare(not the right term)
Although he was one of the top rated players he never shows up for any sort of press conference or interview unlike other Pro players which was a huge missed opportunity in terms of income for the team.
This was mentioned in the Live Action during one of the later scenes when his old team had to disband(of sorts)

This is somewhat hilarious of a conversation. The Team makes a big deal about the *teams* standings. Ye Qiu himself makes a big deal team-play. To the point that he criticizes Sun Xiang. It doesn't matter how personally good Ye Qiu is, or that his solo record is unblemished. Glory is a Team game in the pro-scene. In that context he is not undefeated.
He is Old, but not too old. Sun Xiang was mocking Ye X/Qiu with the "too old" statement. He was forced to retire because he absolutely was not too old. They didn't want him to transfer to another team. (there was likely some spite there as well)
In the Novel and I believe the Animation, The conversation about the Team's true motives is out in the open between Ye QIu and SU Mucheng immediately after the Team's Decision. Ye Qiu's Motives behind his Anonymity aren't until much much later.

I just wanted to say how good the game animation is and damn do I wanna play it. The only thing that close to the type of game with good animation and some action and movements involved so far are Apex legends and Titanfall.
