Everyone says that diamond/netherite hoes are *useless.* They aren't useless!
Useful hoe tip for skyblock worlds!!
You can use a hoe on coarse dirt to make it into dirt. And if you can make a gravel duper with end portals, you can get infinite dirt :D
U don't even need to dupe, you get gravel from piglin bartering
hoes can technically be useful in pvp because they have a longer attack range (3.5) and faster cooldown than anything else
can also use a hoe on rooted dirt to get hanging roots and make the rooted dirt plain
shulkercraft is always making new stuff for begginers

Pro tip: use water to wash away cobwebs instead of a sword, even pushes away the spiders
i like shears bc then i get the whole cobweb, which you cant get any other way
you can also craft it into 9 string, so just 8 cobweb gives you over a stack of string!

Hoes can be used for mining leaves aswell! It also breaks netherwart blocks fast aswell.

I actually use the hoe a lot! Mainly for farming the Nether mushroom Nylium, apparently that's the most efficient way to mine those netherwart blocks!

There is actually a reason to put efficiency 5 on a shovel, because you can destroy faster than 4 when your under water or jumping and destroying at the same time.

Fun fact: you can put smite V on your axe and onehit zombies, skeletons, wither skeletons and phantoms.
One hit kills on zombies are very convenient, because they can't call their buddies
@@amenusgalab But you have to jump and you can't pierce armor. I always have a sword with sharpness and axe with smite.
I enjoy videos like this because so many times I want to just switch over to creator mode and OP my world but in reality I just wanted to do it easier. This helps lol

Eff 5 shovels does makes sense to have, since there are things that can slow down the time of breaking in Minecraft, such as being underwater, jumping, being stuck in cobwebs, etc.

I thought we got past the whole "don't waste diamonds on hoes" thing when they got buffed. If I need a bunch of leaves or saplings, I'm gonna use a hoe, and there's no way I'd waste silk touch or fortune on an iron tool.

I use my netherite hoe to instamine wart blocks that I use for building. The netherite is because I have children and don't like making new stuff all the time just cause I got distracted and fell in my own farm I was building or something lol

Tip for bedrock players: if you dont have a specific tool to break a specific block, just use your sword as sword breaks everything a little faster in bedrock edition

I always use fortune 3 to get the crops.

Because netherite tools cost more exp to enchant
Hoes are useful for mining moss, which is a great, farmable, easy to break building block. But you only need stone to instamine it
I always made efficiency - fortune and efficiency - silk touch on my inventory.
So for the shovel I always upgrade it from diamond to netherite because it looks nice next to my other netherite tool same with efficiency
You forgot about the scissors. It’s the most effective tool for getting wool, cutting leaves and removing cobwebs.

Diamond hoes are actually pretty common in chests of mansions, pillager towers and bastions. So no need to craft one but it's always welcome if you need blocks that breaks faster with a hoe.

I'm pretty sure you can also insta-break bamboo with an axe. Have yet to confirm it, but I'm pretty sure.
Fun fact: most enchantment books can use their own enchantment example: fire aspect book can light campfire and stuff (i think)

We craft netherite hoe not for farming but for completing the advancement 'the serious dedication '. Infact it was my first netherite tool.

I carry a sharp axe, and a silk axe, same as my pick, cause i play multi smp only, so i keep one for fighting, and one for harvesting bookshelves.

why can't you just do it? Just follow the segment where Ian made his duper (which I don't even know if he made it because he chose a design) and then replace the tnt duper with that one.

Does the fortune working on crops only work on Java? Because I've tried doing it on bedrock and haven't noticed any difference.
It works in bedrock. Any tool with fortune 3 will work too. Plus it does make a lot of difference.
