Brilliant! just tried on my MkII Octavia and it did what it said, now got a correctly adjusted handbrake, and I was told by the garage that they would need the car for the day (Maybe they needed a run around to get there lunches) job done, took less than a minute.

Good news. If it starts to get loose again a couple of turns on the handbrake adjuster cable under the centre consol will do the trick 👍👍👍🍻🤠

Cool, do you know if this method can over tighten it, or will it just set the cable at the correct tension?

As far as I know it just helps the auto adjusters adjust. If you have a lot of slack in the handbrake and this doesn't help you will need to adjust the cable under the central console
